CHARGES ARE DIFFERENT EVERY TIME!! Don't be scammed by the reviews here and don't believe everything you see. First of all, she keeps changing her price. Not only that but she charges everyone different. I saw one lady getting her extensions and they talked about the price per strand, so when I asked Mavis if I can get the same kind as her's, she called about twice as more to me. Mavis whispers the price so that others can't hear but I heard it clearly and saw the calculation that her customer showed on her phone. On my first visit, she didn't tell me the cares and cautions that I needed to know and when I went back for replacement and hair was tangled, she ripped 1/3 of my hair out and charged me more than what she originally quoted me on second visit. For different type of extension, she said price will be same for all, but of course she wanted to charge alot more. Mavis, stick with the price and charge the same for everyone and please keep your words on price when given at first. My hair was filled with dandruff and stink.ed so bad after getting wrong type of extension offered by this place. read more

I love Mavis! She is a very kind and sweet lady. She reminds me of my mom lol. She always gets my hair right. I have naturally fine hair so I always want more hair for a fuller look and she gives me her honest opinion whether I need more or not. I really appreciate her. Mavis is really nice but her PRICES ARE RIDICULOUS. She wanted $425 for Bobbi Boss hair that sells for $220 at Tina's Beauty Supply. Same brand, same quality, same length at TWICE the price. When I asked about Bohyme hair, the lower-end GOLD collection she said same price, $425 (sells at Tina's for $150). Give me a break Mavis, I'm desperate, not dumb. I Went To this Store for the first On Wednesday June 7. Maria Was very helpful with color matching my extensions. I wanted clip in extensions so she custom cut them to fit around my head best. I Got 22" extensions which many places don't sell. The hair feels very silky and is Remy hair as well. So far I don't have any knots or tangles. I have only wore them one day for graduation and I curled them. The curls stayed and the hair blended with mine amazingly! I Will keep this post updated after a couple months I Also want to say that Mavis' customer service is great I needed extensions for the following day Thursday and she was able to sew in the clips that same day on short notice (wed). Davis has been coloring, cutting and adding hair extentions to my hair for over 8 year. She makes me look my best and great prices.

I originally wasn't going to write this update, but the more I thought about it.. the more annoyed and mad I get. Per Mavis' comments, she would not cheat anyone out of their money, and it was a misplaced, or mix-up with the display. There was no mix-up. The box of hair I bought the 2nd time was the only box she brought down from the racks of hair. She opened the box, took the card stock holding the hair out (at this point she would have seen how much hair was in the box), matched it to my hair. She said it was a perfect match, gave me my price and "discount," charged my card, and then I was done. I might believe there was a mix-up if there were multiple boxes taken down, but the FIRST and ONLY box she grabbed was the box she sold me. It's not like I already knew my color and she didn't even have to open the box to show me. As stated in my first review, I called Mavis' store when my friend told me this. She did not offer a replacement. She stated no exchanges or refunds on hair. Then she simply hung up on me. When she replied to my first review, I called her store the next day, yesterday Sept 1st. I don't think it was Mavis who picked up. I explained what happened to the girl who picked up. Told her that Mavis said that I can come in and see what she can do for me, then the girl told me no exchanges or refunds, and then hung up on me. Wouldn't let me speak to Mavis. When I called back a 2nd time, the phone had a busy tone. Like it was off the hook. WTH. Bad customer service. Bad communication with store employees/kid of store owners. read more

Mavis is awesome. Such a hard worker and does her best! I love her customer service as well. I can always call/text her last minute to set up a late or early appt. she is very accommodating and cares about your feelings with result. I remember having to go back to have her do a fix because I wanted my extension thicker and results were bad. She fix with no questions asked or comments (since it was my fault!) and said, I want you to be happy. She is very sweet. Prices are reasonable and store is stocked with all hair extensions needs. She has her method but open to listening and doing what you like and ask of her. Well worth the money!! Best of all for the holiday she sent a card. I appreciate her thinking about her clients. I called and asked about the price to remove hair extensions.. she must have been busy cause she quickly answered and tried to get off the phone with me. So I started calling other places because maybe they'll have better phone etiquette! BUTTT she text me and told me the prices and told me she'll be free at 4:30. which was pretty nice, so I called and confirmed and was there by 4:30 but I wasn't seen till 4:50 because she had another client.. still all good. Cause she seemed okay. Finally it was my turn, and I know I've had the extensions in for awhile so it would be tangled, but she did remove the tangle.. but it hurt.. like I know its suppose to hurt a little cause that's my fault for leaving it in for so long, but the way she brushed my hair out.. it was pretty painful. She wasn't talkative either.. but im guessing she had a long day. Eh this place is okay. Probably wont be back cause I've had better at cheaper places. I use to spend 500 and even up to 1000, every 3 months because the hair quality was so poor and thin. After coming to Mavis, my extensions last up to 5 months and she charges only 349. Mavis is not at all like what some of the other reviewers are saying. She is a very sweet lady with a lot of experience with hair. I think it's unfair to degrade a businesses based on your one bad mishap. I've been going to this salon for a long time and it's a really fabulous place. Large salon franchises tend to overprice, but you can get great deals here for cuts and extensions. I have really rough, frizzy hair that's hard to work with, but somehow she always finds a way to make it look good. If you are clueless about what hairstyle matches with your face, like me, she will make great recommendations because she really knows her stuff. I guess that's why she's been around for years.
