This place sells quality in the form of honesty and products that deliver. I wanted to fix a carpet-cleaning vacuum attachment. I paid a reasonable assessment charge and within a reasonable time was told that the repair cost wouldn't be worth the fix. When I asked about a replacement vacuum and saw brands displayed that I didn't know (along with the usual suspects), I got candid summaries. The Sebo canister vacuum I had never heard of before has been great! (I hate vacuuming, but the Sebo does an excellent job and makes it better than just bearable.) Vacuum cleaner went in with a sock stuck in a flexible hose and asked for a replacement of the brush, this was for a Dyson. Almost six months later ABC VACUUM was able to remove the sock and even though the i ask to have replaced was old it still worked, however ABC vacuum discarded my working places with no replacement. In the 5 or so months ABC VACUUM never called to update me on any services they where contracted to complete. Poor service is provided by ABC vacuum. Avoid ABC vacuum terrible service. ​ read more

A few years ago I tried to get a robot vacuum repaired, but could not find anyone to work on it. When my newer ones stopped working recently, I reached out to ABC and they said they would be happy to try to help. Within a few days I heard back that 1 of the 2 I dropped off could be repaired, so for less than $100 my robot vac was as good as new. Went to ABC Vacuum to have our 40+ year old Electrolux vacuum resurrected, however our multi cat household proved too much for it, and burned out the motor. The very nice owner went through just about every vacuum in the shop with my husband and I, explaining in great detail pros and cons of each for our unique pet situation, and finally decided on the Sebo. This vacuum is the best we have ever owned, and so easy to maintain, even having to deal with the fine dust created by several litter boxes. I wanted to love this business because being a third generation business and thriving around since c 1961 is a huge accomplishment and the very reason I opted for ABC. I also want to be a proactive participant of reversing this throwaway mentality and supporting local establishments. My two stars are from cost and communication. I think it's important to say that I do not think repairs should be cheap (I want this business to be around for gen 4) but I do expect a call back when promised (without having to be the one to call back) and for the communication to be accurate. We were told second hand that the person picking up the vacuum was informed the latch/button on the handle could not be fixed and that our temporary tape fix was the best long-term solution. $50 diagnostic dollars later (there was a ĺsecond unit unable to be repaired as well) the person picking up was absolutely not told of irreparable latch issue, we did not receive call back as promised, but perhaps most frustrating is finding another repair shop who fixed the latch AFTER over paying. If it's a clog you cannot access I believe this place will serve. If it's a more complicated repair or requires thinking outside the box to fix, I would consider another local alternative. read more

After talking to young man in the store, I purchased a Hoover Windtunnel. Long story short, the vaccum is a piece of junk! If you use the cord clip on the handle, beware! It caused a short in the cord. In addition the carpet setting switch never worked from day 1, and the hose kept falling on floor. I called the store, and was told I should have purchased a more expensive vaccum! Will not be going back read more

Oh happy day! Find me a service professional who is both professional and wonderful at service. They took in my upright Miele - which is like taking an appendage for a woman with children and animals - and told me it would be about a week. They called with a very reasonable estimate and voila, my treasured vacuum was in my possession exactly a week later, working like new. Owners are husband-wife and could not have been nicer. This was by far the best buying experience we have had in a very long time. We went in, told them what our situation was (three very furry dogs), the type of flooring we had and what we wanted to spend. They showed us several different brands, models/styles, explained the relative benefits of each and then made a very sensible recommendation. The price point was very competitive and we walked out with a brand new Sebo Airbelt E3. We are extremely happy with the transaction and the product. Now, for the rest of the story. This was our third stop in the search for a vacuum cleaner. We had been to two other shops in North Phoenix. The first one, on the northwest side of town, had comparable products/staff but were higher priced. The second shop on the northeast side of town had comparable prices (despite their guarantee) but gave off a "used car dealership" vibe that was a red flag for us. We went with ABC Vacuum Center because they were clearly and arguably best shop, based on staff, products, prices and reviews. I am so happy to have found this store. I had a steam cleaner i wasnt sure was savageable. I brought in my steam cleaner and they thoroughly cleaned it out and it is running wonderfully. I was in need of a vacuum cleaner and purchased one there. I previously had a shark vacuum i loved and they talked me through what they had and the benefits. Larry took over the business from his father some time ago. I can tell you I am the third generation in my family to purchase vacuums from ABC. Bought my second vacuum from ABC last month. We moved into a place that had a lot of wood flooring. My first vacuum was purchased almost 15 years ago right out of college and had to be repaired due to misuse from a drunk roommate. My old Royal has functioned perfectly since then. The new Miele is just what I was looking for. Prices are competitive, Larry's always friendly and honest and their repair services are just as great. Really good experience with this place a few times now and I have bought two vacuums from them and they worked with me when I was not happy with the vacuum I originally chose and they let me exchange it and refunded me even though I was past the 30 days, I lost a little bit of money but they didn't have to do the exchange or return it all for me after 30 days so I was appreciative for that. I highly recommend this company because I felt the service was excellent. I brought in a ten year + Hoover carpet steam cleaner that was simply not working right. Larry got it back running well for a very fair price. I then brought in my 10 year old Dyson to have it tuned up. He found some repair needed and again for a very fair price, I have my vacuum back. I appreciate that I don't have to buy new machines as I am retired on fixed income.
