My experience with Pete's service was excellent. I felt comfortable with my perception of his integrity. The repair was quicker than he quoted. His fee was $70 diagnostic, and another $80 for the part (& further labor?). So, it was $150 to fix the fan. I wound up going to him because of where I worked. No need for him to provide mobile service. I came on yelp and looked for repair vendors. While I investigate vendors with the most reviews, and 4+ stars, I also look at ones with fewer reviews, but still with 4+ stars. Laptop repairs are a real exposure to security breaches, so I do my best to pick one. Curious to me, I found all the pictures of Pete and his wife and family doing all sorts of activities somehow reassuring. I thought about why I felt that, and one of the things I came up with was I felt it gave me a sense that his personal exposure of his life that reflected a sense of integrity to me, and recourse information should something go awry. Two things happened with my laptop. ##1. I tripped over the HDMI cable running across the floor from the TV and the couch. Ouch! Luckily, the computer stayed put on the couch and didn't fall. However, when I plugged the cable back into the port on the laptop it didn't work. Naturally, as we humans do with all repair attempts, I started to wiggle the cable when it was in the laptop port. I got it to work, most of the time. Sometimes though the wiggle didn't work and I couldn't use the TV from the laptop. 2. All of a sudden, a tapping sound started coming from the inside of my laptop. I recently used this company to get my HP laptop fixed. For many days I had been trying to update my laptop to windows 10 and every time I tried the update failed. The last time I tried the update failed and my computer wouldn't work so I decided to find a company to fix it. I googled computer repairs and called a few different companies but they all had bad customer service and never addressed my problem. So I told my husband im going to keep calling places until I find the one with the best customer service and I'll be glad to do business with that company. Thats when I found this company i called the number listed above and a lady answered the phone and she was so sweet and helpful i instantly knew this is the family I will have fix my laptop. I spoke to the husband and he too was very friendly addressed my problem and told me he can fix it for a very reasonable price. My husband took my laptop to him and he fixed it and added windows 10 to it and it really made my day. I put my heart into trying to install windows 10 and it didn't work so im glad to have found this friendly couple/company to fix what I messed up. My daughter told me that her computer went out on her, well I have no clue what to do. So I got on my phone in search for someone to come and repair her computer. And I came across ABCD Computers. It was kind of late but I still called and a man answered he said his name was PETE and I was surprised that he did answer my call. But I proceeded in telling him I needed my daughter's computer fixed. And gave him all my information name, address and he scheduled me for next business day. I was so happy to give my daughter the news that I found someone. So I stayed up all night. And the next day comes and I'm exhausted. So tired that I was sleeping when he arrived. My daughter told him everything. And Pete repaired her computer. The cost for his service is reasonable of $166.60... $80.00 for the service (trip to my home and diagnosed the problem) and $80.00 for the part and labor. It was her computer power supply that had gotten bad and the whole thing had to be replaced. So I'm very pleased with the results of the repair with Pete. Just by chance we came across ABCD Computer Repair. And as chance has it ABCD was a life saver. Just one day before my Son's 20th birthday my Son's computer, His $3000 dollar computer took ill. Both my Son and I thought all was lost. Until at exactly 7:00 a.m. I made the call. A wonderful Gentleman named Pete answered the phone. Frantically I described our problem to him. My husband's computer refused to start. I called ABCD Computers and Pete was here within the hour. Pete was kind enough to not charge me for the call because the mother board was fired and I ended up purchasing a refurbished computer through Amazon. When the computer arrived I called Pete again and he came to help with pulling the information from the old hard drive to upload to the new computer. Pete is extremely knowledgeable in all workings of the computers and he helped me with everything I needed to get my husband's computer up and running in short order. His prices are very reasonable for his quick work and knowledge and the willingness to explain everything I needed to do. Thankful! Danielle at ABCD Computers fixed my computer which had suddently died unexpectedly. I needed a fast fix since I am a consultant and my livelyhood is all within my computer. What was throught to be a possible total hard drive failure turned out to be something not difficult to fix but needed tech expertise to identify the issue and resolve. I came to Vegas to conduct some critical business. Upon my arrival, I discovered that my brand new Dell XPS has crashed. There was no way for me to recover it. I found ABCD on a Google search for mobile computer repairs. All reviews were positive. After explaining my situation, Pete took my computer after hours and worked until midnight. Then got up at 5:00 am to finish it. He delivered my computer to the hotel I was staying in. He ran through all the work he did and gave me a brief lesson on security and proper file storage. This is the 2nd time I used them but, I forgot to review them last year so think of this as a two-fer :-) Last year the laptop fan went out and this week my hard drive announced it was going to die. Pete and ABCD computers are amazing. I have a new sony Vaio 20.1 all-in-one tablet PC combination that got some type of virus that shut down my keyboard and mouse and got progressively worse through time. I tried an online technician who charged me 249.99 to make things worse. I got so fed up I just googled the nearest computer repair person near me and was lucky enough to find ABCD. Not only was the price reasonable, Pete got rid of all the viruses and also hooked me up with an antivirus software that has kept my computer extremely safe. I was backing up files on my computer when it froze up, I found ABCD computers on the internet and gave them a call, they told me to drop off my computer. I dropped off my computer late afternoon on a Thursday and within an hour, Danielle called me back with a diagnosis, my hard drive crashed and died, which was not surprising since I have had my computer for over 8 years. Friendly and reasonably priced! I could not get my computer to start and could not diagnose the issue myself. After a brief Google search and a quick call I was able to drop off my PC all within the same day at ABCD computers. Pete was clear and concise with the issue/s as it was a blown motherboard and/or faulty PSU. Pete rewired and replaced both the PSU and motherboard into a spiffy new case within 2 days.
