It was very similar to our stay before, except the room was a bit smaller (230 square feet) than the previous stay, but it was fine for the two of us for the short stay. It cost 1,050 points for the two nights ($1,083 comparable on the Marriott web site if paid in cash), and I booked it about 2 months before. It's all about the location here, being within walking distance to most of the theaters in the theater district and Madison Square Garden, both of which we took advantage of during our stay. Didn't need a car, so the nightly valet parking rate of $78 didn't apply for us. They still have the complementary guided walking tour, which sounds like a lot of fun if we had more time. Didn't have a chance to check out the upper rooftop or the small fitness center in the basement. The room was fine. It's noisy (street noise and neighbors) so they provide eyemask and earplug kits. They had light blocking manual shades that worked well. The room had a decent size fridge, and there is a communal microwave in the basement. The TV had plenty of cable channels. As a basecamp to recover from the heat and lack of sleep, it was perfect. I had gotten a phone call from the vacation club call center every day during the week before we came, asking to talk to me about how they could help us get ready for our visit. So finally picked up to get them to stop calling, listened to them explain the hotel benefits (which I knew since I had stayed there before), and then finally tell them politely no to a free, no obligation gift if attending a timeshare presentation (they call it a tour of the property). Something similar happened in person when we were checking in, where the concierge grabbed us before we got into the elevator. I listened politely and then declined, and told her I was really unhappy that they kept soliciting even though I had asked it to stop. She looked hurt, and said she would make sure that the property would put an opt-out to my name. Well, the next day when we were heading to lunch, a different concierge caught the attention of my wife, by offering a free gift. He didn't even know our name, which I guess is one way to claim why the opt-out didn't work. I got angry and loudly told my wife we needed to go for our appointment and that we weren't interested in a timeshare presentation. The same concierge later recognized me on the street, and gave me a derisive wave of recognition ("I see you")...have no idea a guy with that sort of fake, insincere personality can be in a job that is supposed to help people. Outside of the concierges, everybody else at the hotel was great...very friendly and genuinely trying to help. We will stay here again...the location is too good and I need to use my points every year. Just need to be better at saying a firm 'no', and moving on.

I've come here twice and had a wonderful experience each time. Great service. Unfortunately on both occasions my party was only one of 2 or 3 other tables occupied in the restaurant. My most recent visit was on a Sunday (the day of the World Cup championship - which could explain the emptiness of the restaurant). Their main dining room didn't open until 5pm so we sat at a little table near the bar in the hotel lobby and ordered fries and drinks while we waited. The fries (not pictured) were skinny, crispy, and delicious. They came with a wonderful side of aioli sauce. More than enough for 2 people to share as a snack. Once we were seated inside, we both ordered the salmon. It was absolutely spectacular. We did not specify a temperature and the chef cooked it to absolute perfection. It came on a light bed of some sort of yogurt - which sounds questionable, but you just have to try it. It was amazing. The salmon also came with roasted zucchini and squash. It was topped with nuts so if you have an allergy make sure to keep that in mind. This is a nice restaurant but overall the vibes are very casual, you'd be fine in jeans and a decent top. It was a bit chilly inside, but that was much appreciated given how hot it was outside on this day. One important note is that this is not the place to come to watch sports. There's one TV near the bar that's outside of the main dining room and it's in somewhat of an awkward position. Overall 10 out of 10 experience, would definitely come back!

While we certainly didn't expect the hotel to do anything special, Andaz 5th Avenue was the only one of the four hotels we stayed at during our NYC trip that did nothing. For a Category 8 property, that was disappointing. I mentioned this in the post stay review. The manager did respond and apologize that they fell short as a higher level hotel. One of the perks at Andaz is that guests can receive Citi Bike vouchers during their stay. We requested them at the front desk but didn't receive them until our very last day because the manager initially forgot about our request, and then it took quite a while for their computer system to generate the code. On the bright side, the hotel is in an excellent location. There's plenty to see and do, and a subway station is conveniently nearby. The hotel is pet-friendly, but it also has two hypoallergenic floors, which is great for guests with allergies. The restaurant serves an excellent breakfast. The breakfast potatoes were the best we've had in a long time. The mushroom scramble was unique, flavorful, and filling. My child absolutely adored the French toast, and the lavender cream was simply dreamy. For the price point, I'm not sure if I'd stay at Andaz 5th Avenue again. There are plenty of great hotels to choose from in NYC.

They seem to have the appearance of a respectable company at first, but if you ask for more that emails and for standard photos of the apartments, you might find that they will disappear. The agent I dealt with was very nice at first. She gave me a few links and an application form. The company the application was for has several reviews stating they are reluctant to return security deposits, and they want your card info included in the application. That was not reassuring. If you ask the agent for more reassurance, they might insinuate you're being evasive because you must have dealt with that company before and they rejected you. Absolutely not. This company is evasive and I don't feel they are 100% honest.

If needed, they can also arrange a cleaning service during your stay, which is a great convenience. What really sets them apart is their professionalism, responsiveness, and consistency. Although we only needed a two-night stay, we intentionally booked an extra night so we could check out the evening before at our convenience. It worked out perfectly. As an original Wyndham owner, one of our benefits is an instant upgrade when available. When we booked online, we were delighted to receive an instant upgrade to a two-bedroom Presidential Reserve unit. The location is outstanding, and our immaculate corner suite on the 14th floor was fantastic. The furnishings were modern and appeared almost brand new, giving the suite a fresh feel. The floor-to-ceiling windows in both the living room and bedrooms filled the suite with an abundance of natural light, making the space feel bright and inviting. While the suite is not especially large, every inch of the space is thoughtfully designed and used efficiently. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The master bedroom featured a wonderfully comfortable king-size bed and a beautiful en-suite bathroom. I especially loved the ambient lighting on the wall behind the bed, which created such a warm and relaxing atmosphere. The second bedroom had an equally comfortable queen-size bed with its own separate bathroom, making the layout ideal for family or friends. There was abundant closet space, and the fully stocked kitchen included everything we needed, along with a full-size refrigerator. I also visited the fitness center on the third floor. The gym was spotless, the equipment looked almost brand new, and I especially enjoyed using the treadmill. This is truly one of the best Wyndham resorts we have ever stayed at. There were so many amenities available that we didn't even have time to enjoy them all, including the rooftop lounge, which gives us even more reason to return. Unacceptable conditions... AE Hospitality is dishonest…read more Based on the inaccurate description and pictures we rented this unit in Jan 2013. Please research that AE Hospitality has units that have been available for years but the reviews are all new. Zero reviews should have been enough warning. This Garth rental is in an area deemed unsafe, use google street view and you will get an idea of the condition and location of this rental. AE Hospitality says the building is under construction but the rental is deplorable, unsafe, and boarded up as of Jan 2013. The rental key was not available at the agreed upon time. There was a homeless person on the front lawn blocking our entrance to the property and human feces in the entryway. We called AE Hospitality several times and their response was angry and threatening each time, no resolution offered. There has to be a better unit, keep looking.

No response to emails. Then I started really looking at their website. The links to facebook, twitter, etc. are all fakes...they don't go anywhere and the company has no such pages. The person who set me up for the room, the name on the contract and the person whose bank account got the money are all different. And then when I really look at the website--an American didn't write it stupid sentences, etc. Anyway, I am glad I realized it before I arrived in NYC with my family and co-workers. An expensive lesson but I hope others see it. If there is a way to get the website taken down, I will look into it. DO NOT RENT FROM ANYONE RENTING APARTMENTS OUT OF 207 W 36TH STREET OR USING THE NAME MANHATTAN PERFECT STAY. Also watch out for Monica Khuller, John Anderson, Summer Nicolsons.

The hotel was fully booked, so they upgraded me to a bit larger room, which was a nice touch. An oddity: there was a desk -- but there was no light on -- or over -- the desk (see pic)...so doing work wasn't an option. (It's a dark corner.) Unfortunately, the A/C and fan kept turning off at 74 degrees. The engineer had a family emergency and had gone home, so they were unable to solve the problem. I wound up leaving the hotel due to this issue. Still, I appreciated Victoria and her great attitude. After all, as I told her, it wasn't her fault the air stopped working!

In the room when using the dishwasher it leaked every time you turned the tv on it was at 91 the loudest it could go it scared us when we first turned it on, the stove top had a crack and only one burner worked the fridge took forever for items to get cold we had a drink in it for two days and it was barely cold The shower water pressure was terrible, also the safety bar was loose i didn't need it but what if someone did dangerous,the toilet top also had a crack two days before check out the AC in the room started making horrible noises and barley worked .housekeeping was supposed to be every other day but barely showed. We left the room for them to clean, came back an hour later, & nothing was touched no garbage taken out, no new towels. We had to go to the lobby to ask for toilet paper. Everything, including ice, had to be requested at the front desk, you could do wash for $10 it was $5 for wash $5 for dryer only one machine worked during check it the front desk was like come to happy hour you will get free drinks and snacks the free drinks was either wine or beer snack was cheese and olives Not the worst stay, but definitely needs better organization, consistency new training and some fixing i honestly wouldnt stay again

The bed was very comfortable. The only real negative was that the bathroom was downstairs. Because of Covid, guests aren't welcome to use the kitchen or dining room anymore, but there is a guest fridge if you want to keep something cold overnight, and the backyard garden was a nice spot to hang put and eat. The manager was welcoming and made sure I had what I needed. Location is great, and the cost is surprisingly affordable. There is a loft area above the bed, so I imagine it would be a great room for a small family.
