The 5 stars is for Francis. Wonderful drink very friendly and real. Enjoyed listening to him and his suggestions. They have a wide selection of bitters. Had coffee in the morning and again very well crafted. Prices are high but it is New York. In the lobby of the Motto hotel.

Wonderful bar and restaurant in Times Square area. What at first caught my eye was the bakery/coffee area, but upon further inspection saw there was a bar and restaurant as well. There's also a hotel connected to it; The Motto. The bar tender, Francis, was amazing and got us hooked on his own curated cocktail; The Rocket. The restaurant was also a surprisingly beautiful space with the most delicious Garlic Bread I've ever tasted. The manager, Isabel, was accommodating and gave great menu recommendations. The Alderman will definitely be one of my NY musts.

    Pre-fixe menu as of 3/3/26

We went for pre-show dinner at 5 pm and it was the best meal we've had on our vacation! The pre-fixe menu has fantastic options, all delicious, and the staff was super helpful about making sure we got done in time to get to &Juliet (also fantastic) without making us feel rushed at all.

This is located inside the Motto by Hilton Times Square on the lobby floor. I only visited the bar area along with the coffee bar, and not the restaurant. The bar are is quaint and right next to the check-in area the bar tender was friendly and provided recommendations however didn't offer his name, so I'm unable to provide that. We had a round of drinks and I grabbed a coffee (drip) and pastry the morning of check out. All around nice service and did get a glimpse of the food from the patrons next to us and it looked pretty tasty. Wish I had more time to partake.

I went to this restaurant since I stayed in the hotel and I had credit. My party and I ordered the French Omelette and Breakfast Burrito. Both were good when eating, but made my friend and I's stomach hurt the entire day. The food came out pretty quick and I also ordered a vanilla latte which was good. Overall, a good place but don't think I would get the same items.

The lighting was soft, creating a warm and inviting ambiance, complemented by great music. The food was rich and indulgent--truly decadent.

Stayed at the Motto & decided to check out the in house restaurant. Host was attentive & I decided to sit at the bar & enjoy something light. The bartenders will keep you smiling with their jokes! Great space to wind down from the hustle & bustle of Times Square. Would visit again!

Alderman Café feels more like a grab-and-go spot than a place to sit and relax. The seating is shared with the hotel lobby, so it can get pretty busy and lacks a cozy vibe. The coffee is fine, but nothing particularly memorable. Service was just okay--not especially friendly or quick. It's a convenient option if you're in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it.

    5 cheese plate.

Had a good night cap at this spot in the lobby of Motto. The 5-cheese plate was $29 and was alright for an app for 2 to split. Beers were $10 per can. It is Times Square after all. Service could've been better. It was alright but maybe also find somewhere else!

Loved my pre-theater dining experience here. Opted for a two starters - the pickled Italian veggies and the everything flatbread and babaganoush, which were both wonderful) and a Jasmine Spritz. For my main, I had a perfectly prepared sea bass which was outstanding and the maitake mushrooms as a side that I loved so much I'd order two of them next go around. Our server Kara was lovely and super informative and the dining room was spacious and stunning. They have a 4 course $45 pre-theater menu that I'm definitely going to go back for since I loved everything I had - Highly recommend

This was a great first impression. The suite we stayed in was large and gave us space to layout everything we packed, and allowed us to unwind after running around the city. I emailed the hotel in advance to let them know this trip was for my husband's milestone birthday and our anniversary. I also applied a Guest of Honor award for this stay, and the staff acknowledged it in their email. During our stay, however, there was no mention of our anniversary or even a small gesture for my husband's milestone birthday. While we certainly didn't expect the hotel to do anything special, Andaz 5th Avenue was the only one of the four hotels we stayed at during our NYC trip that did nothing. For a Category 8 property, that was disappointing. I mentioned this in the post stay review. The manager did respond and apologize that they fell short as a higher level hotel. One of the perks at Andaz is that guests can receive Citi Bike vouchers during their stay. We requested them at the front desk but didn't receive them until our very last day because the manager initially forgot about our request, and then it took quite a while for their computer system to generate the code. On the bright side, the hotel is in an excellent location. There's plenty to see and do, and a subway station is conveniently nearby. The hotel is pet-friendly, but it also has two hypoallergenic floors, which is great for guests with allergies. The restaurant serves an excellent breakfast. The breakfast potatoes were the best we've had in a long time. The mushroom scramble was unique, flavorful, and filling. My child absolutely adored the French toast, and the lavender cream was simply dreamy. For the price point, I'm not sure if I'd stay at Andaz 5th Avenue again. There are plenty of great hotels to choose from in NYC.

I asked if they have offices there, they said something about only seeing people by appointment. I asked if I could do that, they gave me a number to call. They never answer, always voicemail. They never call back, only email. You are not allowed to view the apartments, nor do they have video viewings. They seem to have the appearance of a respectable company at first, but if you ask for more that emails and for standard photos of the apartments, you might find that they will disappear. The agent I dealt with was very nice at first. She gave me a few links and an application form. The company the application was for has several reviews stating they are reluctant to return security deposits, and they want your card info included in the application. That was not reassuring. If you ask the agent for more reassurance, they might insinuate you're being evasive because you must have dealt with that company before and they rejected you. Absolutely not. This company is evasive and I don't feel they are 100% honest.

Between his check-in calls and quick response times, I was extremely impressed by New York Habitat's professionalism, and would recommend them to anyone seeking a short-term rental.

Although we only needed a two-night stay, we intentionally booked an extra night so we could check out the evening before at our convenience. It worked out perfectly. As an original Wyndham owner, one of our benefits is an instant upgrade when available. When we booked online, we were delighted to receive an instant upgrade to a two-bedroom Presidential Reserve unit. The location is outstanding, and our immaculate corner suite on the 14th floor was fantastic. The furnishings were modern and appeared almost brand new, giving the suite a fresh feel. The floor-to-ceiling windows in both the living room and bedrooms filled the suite with an abundance of natural light, making the space feel bright and inviting. While the suite is not especially large, every inch of the space is thoughtfully designed and used efficiently. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The master bedroom featured a wonderfully comfortable king-size bed and a beautiful en-suite bathroom. I especially loved the ambient lighting on the wall behind the bed, which created such a warm and relaxing atmosphere. The second bedroom had an equally comfortable queen-size bed with its own separate bathroom, making the layout ideal for family or friends. There was abundant closet space, and the fully stocked kitchen included everything we needed, along with a full-size refrigerator. I also visited the fitness center on the third floor. The gym was spotless, the equipment looked almost brand new, and I especially enjoyed using the treadmill. This is truly one of the best Wyndham resorts we have ever stayed at. There were so many amenities available that we didn't even have time to enjoy them all, including the rooftop lounge, which gives us even more reason to return. We've already made plans to come back soon.
