While Globe Lighting has lots more styles and designs online, when buying expensive lighting it's a good idea to see it in person so you can gauge the size, proportion, color and span of light. Chandeliers, pendent lights, lighting fixtures can totally transform a room, become the wow feature and set the style for the space so making the right selection is critical. Was greeted the second I stepped through the door by a sales woman asking if I was finding everything I needed. A silly question since I was only in the store 2 seconds! Better to just say, "Welcome, is there something I can help you find?" Or better yet, "Welcome, please let me know if you would like assistance finding something." For me it's such a turnoff to feel like pray when I enter a store! I give the saleswomen credit for apologizing for the "attack." Her words, not mine; but accurate. I know most reviewers complain when they are not greeted upon entry; I'm not one of them! Could care less whether you say hello; just be available and thorough when I have questions. Lighting styles are evolving and I was hoping to find more mid-century modern lights with clean simple lines. They had lots of dark metal, farmhouse, and traditional style lights. Some ultra modern and space age LED lighting, but not as many options for transitional or mid-century. We ended up going with a chandelier we found online after carefully measuring and comparing to current lights. While there, I approached a different salesperson with questions about a bathroom light fixture in my home, one I am having difficulty taking apart to change out the bulbs. Yea, I know that sounds like the beginning of a joke, but it's not! He was super thorough, provided detailed instructions and even gave me options to consider if I wanted to swap the bulbs for an LED strip. All in all, a trip to Globe is worth it when looking for new lighting to see lighting up close and to get guidance from the experts who work there. Globe also has a variety of hardware for cabinets, numbers for the exterior of your house, outdoor lighting, and even home decor lurking in between and around the lamps. So walk around with a keen eye, you never know what you may discover.

I had to chase her down to place an order, she seemed very un-motivated to sell lights. I paid for the lights, in full, and left. I didn't hear back from them for a month, so I decided to walk in there and see what was going on. I spoke to the front desk person. I explained that I hadn't heard back from them regarding my lights. She looked puzzled, then started rooting around on her cluttered desk, and said "oh, there is is!", and picked up a package, which had been sitting there for god knows how long. I explained that I paid for 3 lights. She looked disinterested, and told me she would call the supplier the next day and give me a call. Another month past, no phone call, so again I decided to go to the store. The same front desk person was there, and she looked up my order, one of the lights she said had been discontinued, and the other she wasn't sure why it hadn't been shipped. She promised to call them the next day. Another month past, and I returned. She hadn't done anything with my order, so I requested, and was given, a refund. 3 months wasted. Zero effort made to fulfill and order that I had paid for. AVOID!!

I had the project bid by multiple companies. Winner's attitude, willingness to take on the project, and prompt follow up with a quote earned them the job. We had a scheduling mishap, but I won't take stars off for that. It was resolved quickly. I am super happy with the work completed. The electricians came out and worked most of the day in all areas of my home. They replaced breakers, outlets, switches, and resolved loose and unsafe wiring that was downstairs and in my garage. Winner answered my questions, and if something didn't seem right, they worked together to find the root cause of the issue rather than applying a workaround. I was so happy with the work completed, that I hired Winner back a second time, a couple weeks later, to complete the wiring to an outbuilding and reconfigure the wiring in my garage. That work was largely completed Friday - waiting on a part to finish up a couple aspects, but I'm happy with this work as well. I would use their services again, and I would recommend to others.

Our project involved building a retaining wall, grading, improving drainage, and hauling away a large dump truck of poor quality fill dirt. It was a tough job, but they handled it with incredible professionalism and skill from start to finish. Not only did they tackle the hard work with skill and efficiency, but they also went above and beyond to make sure everything was done right--down to the last detail, suggesting water timers and tripod sprinklers that worked well. Their team was professional, and respectful. The dumpster company he hired accidentally knocked over my mailbox. I texted him about it the evening I noticed it; it was replaced by the next morning. Also, Alex genuinely seemed to care about the outcome, calling and later stopping by after a week to check the progress. The end result was even better than we imagined. What was once a sad and frustrating yard is now beautiful, usable, and a joy to spend time in again. Poor quality. Damage to the landscape…read more I was quite happy when our HOA (Autumn Hill) switched landscape contractors and got Landscape East & West to service our community. However, with the honeymoon period over - I am observing steady decline in the quality of some services. While I am not a landscaping specialist, or a professional gardener, and can't comment on everything LE&W offers, some of the basic tasks like moving, edging, cleaning and paying attention to details - those are things you don't need a degree to tell the difference in quality of work. It also happened so that my lawn (as well as probably majority of homes in our community) requires just those services for most of the time. - Moving is done in the same manner (pattern, trimming height, etc) regardless of the outside conditions or the lawn condition - wet or dry, rain or shine, too hot or not. On top of that for the small patch of grass I have they use quite bulky and heavy equipment, which simply rips the grass when they attempt to turn it around, not mentioning all the furrows left after the same pattern being use over and over again. - Edging, a simple task, is done regardless whether it is required or not - say in places where plastic landscape edging is used. And the crew seems to not be able to notice plants in the way of their edger, and simply shred those plants. - Grass trimmings are sometimes left just on the lawn, but mostly are over path walks, flower beds and even on the cars next to the area being mowed. Since I have exhausted the only venue I had - HOA management - for addressing this issues, I hope this comes to LE&W owners' attentions. I bet this is not an isolated incident, as the same crew works on other properties, other HOA etc.

One would think employees would know a weed from a plant so instead my yard was decimated of /plants and their idea of weeding was hacking at them not pulling them... spreading lightweight cedar chips in a windy area doesn't work either and spreading them where they're not supposed to be spread he is also incompetence.. I'm still cleaning up from this nightmare last year. Unbelievable
