I've seen this place appear on my feed a few times and decided it was time to check it out. I pulled and noticed they a window to order outside as well as a drive through. I waited at the outside window for a second but decided the drive through would be quicker. They have a ton of options to choose from, but I decided to get the Texas Rice Bowl, which comes with Steak, Shrimp, Chicken, Rice, Queso Dip, Fajita Mix & Cheese. I also ordered some chips and salsa. After ordering there was a small wait but then ultimately I was next. My food was piping hot and I couldn't wait to get home. I managed to snack on a few trips en route to home and they were so fresh and crisp. Once I got home, I unboxed everything and went to work. The bowl was good but the shrimp was severely overcooked. I didn't realize shrimp could be cooked more than well done. The bowl itself was good but the ratios weren't even. The steak overcrowded the bowl and the chicken and shrimp were minuscule compared to everything else. The salsa was good and had a nice kick to it but it wasn't spectacular. Overall, I was incredibly pleased and will def. come back.

POV: You're pregnant and suddenly NEED a breakfast burrito. A quick Google search recommends Abelardo's, and even though it's a bit of a drive, you take the risk. Baby gets what baby wants. Was stoked to see they had a drive through (shame-eating in the car adds to the experience), and the burrito came out fresh and hot and not excessively greasy. However, the thing that put it over the top was what I assume to be homemade hot sauce. That shit was spicy and so damn good I shed a tear. My craving? Satisfied. My loyalty? Won. I'll be back, my friends.

I was not expecting much from a drive through Mexican restaurant. The service was fast, and there was multiple ways to order. You can order online, in the drive thru, or walk up to the window. The parking lot is small, and there's only one drive thru window. We opted to go through the drive thru. Moving through the line was quick, we waited about 10 mins before getting our food. I ordered a #15combo and a side of Queso which came with 2 carne Asada burritos, rice and beans. My husband ordered a California Burrito and A carne Asada Taco. My burritos iron my combo were loaded full of carne Asada, cheese, and tomatoes. It was so delicious. The rice and beans were good as well. I took a little of the queso and added it to my rice, because queso makes everything taste better. The queso was cold, was it was flavourful and had a hint of spice. All of the salsas they gave me on the side were delicious, i especially loved the hot salsa (I love spices food). They are a little pricey for a drive thru establishment.I would like to try some other items they have on their menu.

Great for a quick lunch stop between work locations. I got the taco combination plate. A fun change-up from typical drive-thru food, and I really did not wait as long as I thought I might. There is also a walk-up window. Tacos were crispy and tasted great. It looks like they have specials on several days of the week!

The Classic Carne Asada Burrito is epic. Try the Salsa Verde to top your Burrito The place is small with no inside seats. I ride my bike and order at the small front window. The drive up lane is a bit tight too! But the food is worth it!

First time to go but it didn't really deliver. May try it again, see if there are ways to order other things but ultimately for me the food was pretty bland. Needed seasoning. Had an enchilada combo with chicken. The chicken was fine, the lettuce really fresh but the enchilada sauce was boring and so thin it didn't seem to offer anything other than potential to drip on my shirt. The rice and bean sides were equally ho hum. Ho hum may be what people look for here but I love good Mexican food and the idea of it as a drive thru was far better in thought than my experience. If you like Taco Bell, this is a bit fresher and nicer to look at. Thinking a good question or two about sauce options could have really improved my lunch

My partner is always on the hunt to find the best breakfast burritos, so of course we had to check out Abelardo's! Both the drive-thru line and walk-up line were extremely long when we visited on a Sunday around 1 PM. The drive-thru line was wrapped around the building, and it took us almost an hour total from when we first arrived in the parking lot to when we received our food and drove away. We ordered the meat lovers breakfast burrito, ground beef taquitos, and a cheese quesadilla. We didn't order chips and queso but received some with our order as well, so I'm assuming every order comes with some? When we arrived at the payment window, they accidentally left off the cheese quesadilla we ordered at the speaker, but they quickly added it back on and resolved the issue. We also ordered some mild salsa but unfortunately did not ever receive it. The breakfast burrito was a really nice size and completely stuffed with ingredients. The cheese quesadilla was also quite large but tasted overly greasy in my opinion. The taquitos weren't the best, and the chips were pretty saltless and tasted like cardboard. The breakfast burrito was without a doubt the best part of the order, but my partner said he wouldn't necessarily wait in line for another hour just to have it again. It's convenient that they're open super late, so I can definitely see this being a great spot for a post-going-out meal on a weekend!

I mean when I came I wasn't expecting high quality food or anything so I'm glad I didn't get excited when I tried this spot. The service was quick I give them that and they are open late nights but the food was horrible. The taquitos were super dry in the inside so we throw them away. The loaded fries were cold and the cheese they put on it wasn't even melted

Abelardo's Mexican Fresh (AMF) is a new spot to hit the STL vicinity. AMF has a very diverse menu with every Mexican dish you can think of. I've read a lot about the super fries , so we decided to give them a try. A generous portion of hot fries and all the trimmings you would find on nachos, and was very good. We also ordered a chicken burrito and a taquito combination with beans and rice. All we're made to order and perfectly seasoned. Unfortunately only drive in or counter ordering is available and no indoor, outdoor seating, which took away from our experience. I do recommend visiting AMF during before/after lunch or dinner time and it does get very busy. Great experience and will be back!

Good restaurant and i love going here every so often but having so much oil in these chips cannot be good for your health and isn't good in general when the queso falls off the chip. Please be better Abelardo's!

This may be a fast food Mexican spot, but they took their time making our three breakfast burritos which was appreciated! The burritos were HUGE, no one finished them. They were packed baby! Packed with all the goodness you need for a heavy breakfast lol definitely recommend the breakfast burritos

I finally got a chance to try this place after my mom suggested it. I'm here to tell you that the hype is real ya'll. If you are looking for authentic Mexican food then give this place a try. The drive-thru line was kind of long so I decided to park and order at the window. Looking back it was a good choice because my order was taken and given to me within 10 minutes. The staff are friendly and polite. I ordered the Carne asada rice bowl and my only grip is that I wanted a little more rice but besides that the flavors were great. So glad I found a place that is so close by that is worth the time, money, and a short drive. Don't walk but run on over here and order you some good eating. Taco Bell could never! Until next time...

This place is great for fast Mexican food. There is a window that will take orders and a drive through. We went here at 9 am on Saturday morning and there was no wait. We ordered lengua taco, tamale, California burrito and Texas rice bowl. The food was good. They do put a lot of meat to rice ratio for the Texas rice bowl which is nice. The service was good. We got our food within ten minutes of ordering. The sauces that they give were delicious and added a lot of flavors to the food.

Texas bowl has all The meat and packed with flavor.

I wasn't super hungry so we got chips and salsa and guacamole to share and my friend got the chicken fajita. The salsa comes with two different salsa options, both were a bit spicy. The guacamole was classic and came out with a cute serving spoon. They had lots of food options but it's a bit more expensive than most Mexican spots in the city. I think my friend was a little disappointed that there was an up charge to add vegetables to her fajita and the portion wasn't as big as she thought it might for a $20 plate, but it tasted good. I had eaten a big lunch, so I ordered a couple of sides, Poblano Rajas and Half-Smashed Black Beans no cotija. For the table, my daughter's ordered the Classic Queso, and Chips & Salsa Two-Ways. The Queso was good but those salsas? They were really great. The red was smokey, which I love and not a lot of places do, and the green was a spicy pineapple, I think, it was so good! There was a Handmade Limeade ordered and it was so refreshing! I enjoyed the sides I ordered; I tasted the Al Pastor Empanadas, delicious and more so with that green salsa - sweet and spicy! Great spot I am glad we tried. Would love to return for a pitcher of margaritas when I am not driving!

It's been a few weeks since I had any pocket cash to go out to eat... so I decided to pick a food…read moresource at random for a Saturday afternoon, and I'm SO GLAD I did... You know how they say one of the best things about Mexico is the food? I have to admit, I would honestly wouldn't know and just have to trust the stories I've heard, as I've never been lucky enough to go to Mexico.... But all my life I've heard stories about people who go and basically remind you.. NEVER hit a restaurant for _authentic_ Mexican food. You want to hit the street vendors. Well, St. Louis has a fantastic surprise.. Now you can do that right here in the city! Part of a three-restaurant set up, Amigo Sole is the "street vendor" restaurant that's not on the street. (And having met the owner of the full set-up, I'm REALLY hoping i get invited to the grand opening of Jekyll & Hyde) As it was middle of the day Saturday, I didn't ask for anything alcoholic (so i don't know if the reviewer that asked for alcoholic beverages and was told they didn't have any was just unlucky or if it was true.) But I'll take a Mexican Coke over American Coke any day of the week (NO, get your minds out of the gutter.. not that powdered one!). Anyway, I went simple for a quick stop, and went with the Chicken Bomb. at the recommendation of the cashier and he was quick to name this one off.. (and always remember cashiers, have a favorite READY, so thumbs up to the cashier on this one!) . And then to my amazement.. no more than 5 minutes later, HOT, tasty, cheesy, chicken quesadilla style BOMB-diggity! (Ironically this one is not listed on the website menu, only the instore menu? Come on Sole, online is everything today :) ) Absolutely delicious food.. and absolutely messy too, as it literally would fall apart in my hands.. (HEY, that's a good thing!) As for the decor.. 100% true, as Amigo Sole definitely has SOUL! (and lots of soles!). Again Amigo Sole isn't designed to be a 'great sit down' restaurant, it's designed to be street-vendor FUN!!!! and with what decoration they have, it pulls it off fantastically in my opinion. So just based on my meal, what the owner told me about the Amigo Sole, you're getting EXACTLY what you're promised a Mexican street vendor serving fantastic Mexican street vendor food, only with a roof over your head the entire time. During the meal, met again (Who i believe to be) the owner of the store and talked with him about Amigo Sole and how amazing it was to me... and he told me about the three-restaurant combination. (And I apologize sir, but I completely forgot your name when we talked!). even mentioning they share three kitchens when it gets busy (so I was kinda lucky as i think the rain scared everyone out for the day), but I'm still hoping for the Jeckyll & Hyde invitation! (I'll even pretend to find a date if I have to for the upscale part!)
