Lunch Date with the Mrs. Asked for a WellDone Steak Chimi and that's what I got from now on that's how I want it cooked everyplace I get it from because they executed it perfectly. Service was decent an am the locations is the only one left in town so I cherish it like it's my own. My wife ended up getting the tacos you dip and she loved them

So I wanted a quick bite to eat after going for drinks and I came here wanting nachos. The hosts lead me of to the side where she wanted to stand so o can make a to-go order and said someone will be with me but no one came. Also while waiting it was really trashy in the restaurant so I ultimately left after waiting 15 minutes.

This restaurant has quietly became my go to place to drink at in Saint Louis. With the different flavors of margaritas that are available you have plenty of choices to find one that suits you. The food is kind of blah, but then again this is coming from a person that lives in south Texas so I'm biased but price wise everything is pretty fair. The service can sometimes be hit or miss depending on when you go

I really want to give a higher rating but here are my thoughts. Food was absolutely delicious. Chips and salsa were good but nothing special. Service was average ( restaurant wasn't busy and it wasn't the fastest service). My biggest reason for 3 stars is the margarita. I love a good margarita as much as the next person, out this one was not good AT ALL. Like 0/5 good. It tastes like straight tequila. I can handle a stronger margarita don't get me wrong, but this tasted like straight tequila and I wasn't able to drink it. Mind you, a pitcher is $35 which is a little crazy to me. I had to take it home to try to make it taste better with simple syrup and strawberry puree but it was just too strong. I think the restaurant is super cute and food is great, but don't recommend the margaritas and service is average.

This place is good for late night bites. We came in for a super quick bite after a Blues Game when most places are closed for dining. Salsa was really tasty actually. My son ordered the Taco Mexicano Combo. He said it was just okay! We were seated all the way in the back past the bar. It was somewhat noisy, a bit dirty and under construction. When we exited we saw there was another section on the other side that was more open and comfortable. Maybe next time....

Very sad to hear they've lost their liquor license. Great Margs. Food was delish and I loved it. Service was fairly quick. And the ambiance is as beautiful as the patrons! It's lovely Mexican culture based and themed. Feels like a hole in the wall on the streets of Juarez.

Even though it was a warm evening, we sat outside to catch the breeze. After ordering margaritas we studied the menu. I knew what I wanted. Their ground beef tacos which I love because they are served on corn taco shells. Delicious as usual. Would I come back here? Yes, if you see me there stop by and say hello.

It took a few minutes for someone to help us. We were eventually seated, ordered our food, and it felt like we were being rushed. We sat outside. They weren't super busy. I wasn't a fan of the food. I had to force myself to eat. The margarita was good but tasted like juice. No signs of alcohol at all..

El burro is a great restaurant. Well worth the wait . I really enjoyed the decor and lighting of the entire place. So much on the walls and hanging from the ceiling. Very detailed and thought out. Our waitress was very upbeat vibrant and available. Repeatedly checked in and smile the entire time. The food was absolutely amazing. We ordered the fajita skillet and a margarita pitcher. That margarita is the real deal and will put you on your back literally. Best margarita ever I can say after I woke up. I will definitely be back!

The Pollo Con Arroz is the ONLY meal that I can seem order whenever I visit this restaurant, I can't seem to get enough of it, it's the best hands down, along with the banana margarita that I ordered. The service is always amazing. I've always been seated promptly no matter how crowded the restaurant is, and before you can even sit down, the server comes with the chips and salsa, which are nice and warm and fresh. The restaurant has both inside and outside seating for sitting outside to enjoy the nice weather and it's located in the Central West End so if you are lucky enough to get a window seat just know that you'll be thoroughly entertained from all of the people walking to and from nearby venues

Wow. This is truly an underrated Mexican restaurant. I can't believe I'm just now trying it for the very first time. The margaritas are on point!!!! They say me down so fast and the drinks were so good I'll be back soon!!!

Does the outdoor seating have heaters on cooler days/evenings?

They have a covered outdoor section

    Do they take reservations?

I don't think so. You can see if they're on the no wait app but I've never had to wait too long to get it except when it's a perfect summer night and it jammed.

I wasn't super hungry so we got chips and salsa and guacamole to share and my friend got the chicken fajita. The salsa comes with two different salsa options, both were a bit spicy. The guacamole was classic and came out with a cute serving spoon. They had lots of food options but it's a bit more expensive than most Mexican spots in the city. I think my friend was a little disappointed that there was an up charge to add vegetables to her fajita and the portion wasn't as big as she thought it might for a $20 plate, but it tasted good. Super nice service and cute on the inside. They have a back patio that's very big and heated. Street parking.

We chose inside and although they have a couple tables out front, I realized they have a super cute patio out back. Our server, Obed, was friendly and explained everything we needed to know as well as answering all the questions! He was great! I had eaten a big lunch, so I ordered a couple of sides, Poblano Rajas and Half-Smashed Black Beans no cotija. For the table, my daughter's ordered the Classic Queso, and Chips & Salsa Two-Ways. The Queso was good but those salsas? They were really great. The red was smokey, which I love and not a lot of places do, and the green was a spicy pineapple, I think, it was so good! There was a Handmade Limeade ordered and it was so refreshing! I enjoyed the sides I ordered; I tasted the Al Pastor Empanadas, delicious and more so with that green salsa - sweet and spicy! Great spot I am glad we tried. Would love to return for a pitcher of margaritas when I am not driving!

It's been a few weeks since I had any pocket cash to go out to eat... so I decided to pick a food…read moresource at random for a Saturday afternoon, and I'm SO GLAD I did... You know how they say one of the best things about Mexico is the food? I have to admit, I would honestly wouldn't know and just have to trust the stories I've heard, as I've never been lucky enough to go to Mexico.... But all my life I've heard stories about people who go and basically remind you.. NEVER hit a restaurant for _authentic_ Mexican food. You want to hit the street vendors. Well, St. Louis has a fantastic surprise.. Now you can do that right here in the city! Part of a three-restaurant set up, Amigo Sole is the "street vendor" restaurant that's not on the street. (And having met the owner of the full set-up, I'm REALLY hoping i get invited to the grand opening of Jekyll & Hyde) As it was middle of the day Saturday, I didn't ask for anything alcoholic (so i don't know if the reviewer that asked for alcoholic beverages and was told they didn't have any was just unlucky or if it was true.) But I'll take a Mexican Coke over American Coke any day of the week (NO, get your minds out of the gutter.. not that powdered one!). Anyway, I went simple for a quick stop, and went with the Chicken Bomb. at the recommendation of the cashier and he was quick to name this one off.. (and always remember cashiers, have a favorite READY, so thumbs up to the cashier on this one!) . And then to my amazement.. no more than 5 minutes later, HOT, tasty, cheesy, chicken quesadilla style BOMB-diggity! (Ironically this one is not listed on the website menu, only the instore menu? Come on Sole, online is everything today :) ) Absolutely delicious food.. and absolutely messy too, as it literally would fall apart in my hands.. (HEY, that's a good thing!) As for the decor.. 100% true, as Amigo Sole definitely has SOUL! (and lots of soles!). Again Amigo Sole isn't designed to be a 'great sit down' restaurant, it's designed to be street-vendor FUN!!!! and with what decoration they have, it pulls it off fantastically in my opinion. So just based on my meal, what the owner told me about the Amigo Sole, you're getting EXACTLY what you're promised a Mexican street vendor serving fantastic Mexican street vendor food, only with a roof over your head the entire time. During the meal, met again (Who i believe to be) the owner of the store and talked with him about Amigo Sole and how amazing it was to me... and he told me about the three-restaurant combination. (And I apologize sir, but I completely forgot your name when we talked!). even mentioning they share three kitchens when it gets busy (so I was kinda lucky as i think the rain scared everyone out for the day), but I'm still hoping for the Jeckyll & Hyde invitation! (I'll even pretend to find a date if I have to for the upscale part!)
