The only deceiving thing about the café is its name, "Aberdeen." My daughter and I ordered our usual dim sum dishes: siu mai, spicy chicken feet, sesame balls, soybean wrap, beef cheong fun, and sticky rice in lotus leaf (lo mai gai). Tasty and hot. If you like hot chili oil, be sure to ask for it. The restaurant is on the smaller side, but cozy. We were very pleased with both the service and the taste of the food.

Asked for Chili Oil and received this. Had to ask again since it was gone after dipping the Shiu Mai a few times.

Good Dim Sum?! I don't think so! Unlike the other peoples' Reviews, my personal experience eating here was quite disappointing. I don't know about others, but the food we ordered were mostly inedible. For instance, the Sesame Balls were basically mini size! 4 little pieces on a small plate compared to 4 BIG ones at other Chinese Dim Sum restaurants for the same price. The Chicken Feet my wife ordered smelled extremely bad! She took one bite and had to stop eating because it tasted sour and rotten.... I requested 2 orders of Pork Shiu Mai, Pan Fried Pork Buns, and an order of Green Onion Pancake. Let's just say all of those tasted funny, tasted a little old and dry. Not sure if the Chef had a bad day or if they actually tried to cook up old leftover food to serve.... The only 2 good food items were the Steamed Pork Spare Ribs and Honey Garlic Chicken with Rice, if I am being honest. The Ambiance is so-so. Very small space with a few tables that you can sit at. I am sure most people order food To-Go if they get food from this restaurant. Additionally, expect service to be slow since ours was.... I believe there's only an older Chinese lady who takes orders, and serves the customers. So, you'll be waiting a while to get your food, utensils and refills on water. The Chili Oil tasted a bit salty than spicy for me. They are stingy with the portion sizes and napkins at this establishment. We were surely disappointed after reading the 4 and 5 Star Reviews that were left on Yelp that we had to go to a different restaurant to finish eating our lunch in order to be satisfied. My Wife and Son barely ate anything since the food didn't taste good to them. I would recommend a different place for Dim Sum in Federal Way. Expected way better quality.

Pork soup dumpling. The woman working was so kind as well. Definitely will be coming back to try more.

So happy we gave this place a try, honestly it was like a home cooked meal and I mean that in the very best of ways. We ordered the spicy chicken teriyaki, it was chicken breast which was nice, flavorful and juicy. Perfectly sweet with enough spicy to make you feel it. Spicy Sichuan fish, the broth was insanely good, full of flavor and they did not skimp on the fish at all. It was perfect. Spicy chicken feet, great flavor and I really loved the way they cooked them. Pork soup dumplings, I can't really give an honest review on these because I've never really had them before but they were good, not sure I'd get them again tho and the onion pancake, it was crispy, we enjoyed it. As for the service, as others have said it is mainly just the woman working, she seems to run the place. When we were in there was a cook but he left after our order was finished. She was quick to take our order and brought everything out as it was ready. It was fresh so it did take a little time, nothing crazy. The restaurant was very clean. I always love when I see a health score rating of EXCELLENT and they have. It was a quiet dinner. I enjoyed that after a long day! So looking forward to giving more of their menu a try.

This was the WORST dim sum I EVER ate! I can't believe that this place got 4 stars!! Walked in and only 1 family here eating. Didn't r yr think anything of it at first! Order like 9 things off the menu all at $7 + all for MICROWAVED dim sum you can get at Costco! TERRIBLE!! At least I know they shop at COSTCO Federal way and maybe Tuwila! I DO NOT RECOMMEND at all!! I know it was all microwaved cause I could hear the ding when it was all done! One by one .... Didn't take pictures as it would've made my stars less!!

We found this place on IG and decided to give it a try. This is a small place with about 4 booths, 3 2 seat tables and 1 4 seat table. It was ok decorated. As everyone said it was just 1 lady working the restaurant. She told us the owner called out sick so she was by herself until later when her daughter goes to help. Overall the taste of the food was good. Portion size could be a little better. Would I go back maybe if I'm in the area.

Traditional HK Dim-sum! Curry fish ball and HK style milk-tea is good. Candy is so kind.

We returned and confirmed how delicious this little joint is. Don't expect americanized syrupy sweet service - this lady is here to take your order and work. She's efficient and focused! Maybe bring a jacket at night because it's cold, but otherwise, everything was so fresh and tasty, it's honestly ridiculous. I loved every dish. The chow mein stood out for sure. Ambience is fine, casual and sort of quiet. I love it and hope to return sooner than last time.

I loved this restaurant so much, the food was amazing and the environment was warming and comforting, as well as having a good price service was on point and very quick.

    Crunchy fried butterfly shrimp..

Came here midday and ordered 3 types of dim sum, a chicken bun, a custard bun and butterfly shrimp. When I opened the shrimp and saw what they gave me I was shocked, clearly the shrimp is burnt and overcooked and they still gave it to me. No wonder this place is always empty. My chicken bun also had shrimp and mushrooms but no chicken so after eating 1 bun and seeing the state of the shrimp I just tossed it all in the garbage. I can't trust this restaurants quality so I wouldn't come here again.

Just finished a late lunch. When we arrived there was a table of three that was already eating. Place was decently clean. There was only ONE person working, she was doing the busing/ waiting/ and cooking. Sat down and ordered at 3:05pm and did not receive our last dish until basically 4pm. This lady is VERY generous with her salt, everything just tasted like it was bathed in salt and pepper. Every dish came out slow one by one since she was literally the only one working.

I can't believe I was sleeping on this fantastic opportunity to eat yummy dim sum. Aside from all the regulars you'd find at any dim sum, Harbor City offers some items requiring a little more from the non-Chinese diner -- i.e. chicken feet, stomach, tripe -- always a good sign. Everything we ate was too notch. All the ordering happens online so there is no more old-timey choosing from the cart. And while I miss that one-on-one unexpectedness of that experience, on this particular date, I had to be in and out pretty quickly so the online ordering made for a very timely meal.

The portions are out of this world large for the price. A small dish order is definitely enough for three people. The vegetable fried rice could feed six people easily or 3-4 very hungry people. I was trying them for the first time and the parking lot was extremely packed , many people were coming and going through out the 10 minutes or so that I was waiting to pick up food. My only gripe is that the Chow mein was over cooked and a little burnt tasting.

But for those in the know, Triumph Valley is really known for their dim sum menu! Off the beaten path, you have to take State Highway 167, as its just south of the large IKEA store. But definitely a culinary landmark if you are a constant diner of Chinese cuisine, and dim sum afficianado. There are only three dim sum, or dumpling lunch providers in or around the City of Renton (technically two). This is one of them, and if you are not early, it can get really crowded, especially on weekends. But the staff bravely soldiers-on with their dilligent service. The restaurant's ambiance takes advantage of its interior with strategic lighting in their dining hall. Very utilitarian, while trying to ensure a little bit of style. They also modernize the experience with electronic waiting and ordering system on portable touch screens. It actually helps the service. No paper. As for me, my focus is on the dim sum. All of my favorites are there. And, as diner of one, it was hard not to want to order everything. So, I ordered the "basics" of a dim sum lunch. One order of Shiu Mai, one order of Har Gow, and one order steamed BBQ Pork. It was pretty much all you need along with an order of tea, as well as a Diet Coke to wash it all down. There were other traditional dim sum selections, but I knew my tummy (and wallet) wouldn't absorb it all - as much as I would have liked. Steamed beancurd sheets, beef meatballs, steamed sticky rice in banana leaves... chicken feet, it was all there. The best way is to make a plan, and invite lots of freinds to make sure you can try EVERYTHING! Yes, there are other menu items, like I said, but for Dim Sum dining in Renton, this is the place!!!! See you at Triumph Valley.

I've also been here on Saturday evenings when the wait has been 30 minutes to an hour, so I think we just picked a good time to visit. We started with the spicy cucumber salad (which I somehow forgot to take a picture of), and then my husband ordered the General Tso's chicken while I had the beef and broccoli. The server was very friendly, and all of the food came out fresh, hot, and tasted really good. I especially appreciated that everything was served nice and hot. The biggest downside for me was the price. I understand it's inside the casino, but it still felt expensive for what you're getting. My husband's General Tso's chicken with a small serving of rice was around $23, my beef and broccoli was $26, and even the small bowl of cucumber salad was $9 before tax. While my portion was definitely generous, it still felt like a pricey meal for Chinese food. Overall, the food was good and I'd eat here again if I was craving it, but it's definitely one of the more expensive dining options inside Muckleshoot. If you're planning to eat here, I'd expect to spend at least around $25 per person before drinks and tax.

He really wanted the baked pork buns so we definitely want to come back to try that and I do want to try the duck here too. The service here was decent, I felt a bit rushed as I hadn't realize that they were closing soon. She also would walk away with each order to set it up but it made it awkward as I was ordering more than a few things. But other than that, it's worth checking out. The store front looks a bit messy and they had some items that were covered with tape and not sure if that was cause it was sold out or maybe they don't offer that specific item at this location? There was a line when we arrived since it's inside the market and tucked in with other small shops. It feels kind of like a mini food court or plaza. We got an entire plate for just $19, and it was over a pound. It was delicious and super crispy. They also have a menu with other food items you can grab. I definitely recommend stopping by if you're a foodie, especially if you love Asian food. It reminds me a little bit of dim sum items. The ambiance is really nice and clean, and it feels like a family-owned spot. There isn't much seating since it's more of a grab-and-go place, but there are plenty of seats around the plaza if you want to sit and eat.

This custom was preserved in Sweden and gradually evolved into the Smörgåsbord (Scandinavian cold buffet), which is the direct and continuous ancestor of the modern buffet. · France (18th-19th century): The French adopted the word "Buffet" (originally meaning a sideboard or serving table) to describe this self‑service style of dining and promoted it among high society. · Perfection in Japan: The modern buffet model we know today--featuring cold dishes, hot dishes, desserts, and a wide variety of options--was established by the Imperial Hotel Tokyo in 1958. · Las Vegas: The now‑popular "all‑you‑can‑eat" model originated in Las Vegas, USA, in the 1940s. Casinos offered cheap or even free buffets to keep gamblers on the premises, a strategy that quickly became widespread. · Introduction to China: The buffet was introduced to China in the 1930s, initially appearing only in foreign‑funded hotels. It was not until the late 1980s that it reached the general public through tourist joint‑venture hotels. Relatively speaking, it's still fairly clean. Taste: There is a huge variety of options, covering dozens of items including Chinese stir-fried dishes, Western food, Japanese cuisine, teppanyaki, fruit, seafood, salad, as well as drinks and ice cream. I mainly tried the Chinese stir-fried dishes, boiled shrimp, and teppanyaki. Considering the price per person, I think every item met my expectations. Service - unexpectedly good: From asking how many people in our party at the entrance, to guiding us to a table and asking if the seat was comfortable, to explaining the dining process, and clearing plates during the meal - all of it was very good. Room for improvement: Some of the items are pre-made dishes that only need simple deep-frying or grilling. Pre-made dishes can be categorized into a few types: easy to cook, easy to eat, easy to heat. Based on my experience in the industry, the essence of pre-made dishes is really an issue of trust. If the selection is done properly and customers don't experience any adverse reactions after eating, then it's a good business.
