We finally got to arrive for lunch as well, and we got good service, and it was quite nice. Nice, crunchy tater tots. Even more delicious Reuben sandwich!

Service was so friendly and helpful, they went out of their way to understand exactly how my husband wanted his egg cooked. The dining room is big and it's not noisy and chaotic like so many other brunch spots. Food is reasonably priced and tasty. I especially like the filling of the knowledge omelet and the potatoes. We'll be back!

I tried this place for the first time and the chicken wrap was perfect. It wasn't even dry like most wraps. Onion rings were great.

Hubby and I tried for first time , the service was great. The tea was good the food good only thing we were disappointed about is that it's a bakery and menu said homemade sourdough bread and it was so thin and crunchy. More like a crouton . The desserts looked good . The decor was cool . Just need to step up the bread . We will go back to try lunch .

Stopped by on my way through Eugene for a delicious meal, great service and a cute diner. There was one server working and she was busy and efficient! All food was delicious, there's plenty of menu options. I will be returning if I ever find myself back here.

Belgian waffle combo with eggs and bacon. Delicious.

Wonderful first experience at Abilities Diner and Bakery. Server Kimberly was a delight. Funny, professional and oozing with that good nurturing energy. Best Belgian Waffle I've had in Eugene... and I've been to Belgium! Treat yourself and don't sleep on this local gem.

The berry French toast was phenomenal!

We know why this place has the great ratings it has! The food and service here are superior! Such an extensive menu to choose from. My party appreciates the kumbucha on tap varied choices too.

Abilities Diner on Blair in the cul de sac across from Sweet Life has a real good breakfast not too pricey. Hashbrowns, fresh eggs, bacon cooked the way you like it, sourdough toast and good fresh coffee. Attentive waitresses, comfy booths and good crispy bacon. My breakie.was.13

This was a nice find, we were looking for a local breakfast spot in Eugene. Right off of the…read moreBeltline on Coburg road, you will find Buddy's Diner. Its a classic diner with bar top seating, many booths and open tables within a very small space. Don't be scared away from the waitlist or large families waiting outside the door, they seem to turn tables very quickly so plan for a little bit of a wait, but its worth it. We got lucky and two bar top seats opened up, we waited about 10 min. We were greeted by a very friendly waitress who quickly offered us menus and filled our drink order. The menu is quite ample, lots of breakfast options, from scrambles and omelets to many shakes and desserts, if you are looking for lunch they have burgers, sandwiches and wraps. We ordered breakfast, I had the custom option, two eggs, bacon, sausage and added a side english muffin. The food was well cooked, good portion and great tasting. My son ordered a custom, 2 biscuits and gravy with an egg and hash brown, he loved his meal. The pricing was fair. We did not have much of a wait time from the time we ordered to getting our meals. Even though it was busy they did a great job making sure we were taken care of.

However, besides burgers, they also serve a number of breakfast items like pancakes and eggs and so forth. So I decided to go with the breakfast menu and ordered half order of biscuits and gravy and eggs Benedict. I must say both were extremely good and just the food alone I will come back. But the service is very good and attentive and the ambiance has that old time diner feel to it that you don't see too often anymore. Definitely would come back.

As a local, it truly breaks my heart to write this review. I always want to support our…read moreneighborhood businesses, but I have to be honest about my recent breakfast experience here. The Atmosphere I'll start with the positives: the decor is absolutely awesome. As a discophile, I spent half my time admiring the vinyls lining the walls. The model aircraft suspended from the ceiling and the upside-down table add a unique, cool character to the place that you just don't find elsewhere. Visually, it's a 5-star experience.. The Food & Drink Unfortunately, the meal itself was a different story. The Coffee: I'm a black coffee purist, but this was beyond horrible. It tasted completely "burnt"--to the point where I actually had to add sugar just to make it drinkable. Breakfast Burrito: This was, quite frankly, uneatable. I'm not sure if it was the black beans, the eggs, or something else in the mix, but the flavor was horribly off. Hash Browns: They were completely flavorless and added nothing to the plate. Jalapeños: I'm a huge fan of sauces and peppers, but somehow even the side of jalapeños was bad. On a smaller bright note, the English muffin was good (though it's hard to ruin one of those), and the water tasted great. I honestly can't recommend the water enough, which is a strange thing to say about a diner visit. Final Verdict I cannot recommend this spot for breakfast in good conscience. I hope I get the chance to come back and try their dinner menu to see if it's an improvement, but for now, the great decor just isn't enough to make up for the kitchen's performance.
