We've used Ability Heating and Air for about 5 yrs now. We bought our house in 2008 and it need an entire heating and air con system. Never had it before. we carefully picked our machine and did multiple walk thru-s with Markus and his team to determine best set up for the house. The crew had to work within a strict time frame we had laid out as the house needed lots of work! Markus and his crew have been available for this and that every since, maybe a total of 3 or 4 times in 5 yrs for yearly tune ups or replacements. The unit we chose is excellent as well. I had a heater that looks like it hasnt been used for the last decade or so, a thermostat that has fallen off the wall, and pretty much no idea how to handle it. Rodney from Ability came by early on late notice (day that I scheduled an appointment) and managed to make everything work. What an amazing company! Many, many thanks to Joseph, Darrel and Diego for the outstanding work they preformed on my estate in Glendale. I have a guest house on the rental property and was told by other companies that the entire rooftop combo unit (AC/Heat) was old, couldn't be fixed and had to be replaced. After speaking with Joe and emailing him the photos of the system, he suggested sending out technicians to see if the unit could be repaired instead of being replaced (saving me thousands of dollars). Sure enough, Joe was absolutely right! Darrel and Diego were the technicians who identified that the problem was a loose wire and old run capacitor. He didn't try to gouge us, didn't push for work that is not necessary. He even offered to check with the AC unit's maker to get replacement parts if it's still under warranty. I highly recommend Ability Heating & Air. I tried two other services before finally finding these wonderful people. I purchased a condo with a heat pump system containing mis-matched components. In the cold winter weather it simply would not heat my unit. I could not warm the interior to even 70 degrees. I called one company who told me I needed a new $16,000 system. I called a second company who told me it was working fine. I finally found Ability and they diagnosed the true problem and fixed it for a reasonable cost. This was my first time having problems with my central air unit. I looked on yelp to see which air service company was closest to me. I contacted Lane's first because they were closest but they wanted to charge $109 for someone to come out and assess the situation which I think is a little too pricey. When I told the receptionist that I would get back to her because I was going to get some other quotes she became really rude and upset so I wasn't going to give them my service after that. The next people I called that we're close to me was Ability. I am so happy that I did!!!!! They sent someone out literally within 15 minutes of my call. The receptionist was very kind and let me know exactly how much everything would be and how much it would be if I needed additional services. They sent a technician named Brian out and he was awesome! He was very friendly, quick and diagnosed the problem immediately. We had everything fixed within about 30 minutes and since I had the parts at my home he use my parts and I was only charged $59 for him to come out. He explained to me why I had the issue that I had and how I can prevent it. I am definitely going to be using them for all of my heating and air services. They were very honest and very reasonable. Ability Heating & Air (AHA) and its technician Rudy provided a great service. In the middle of the heat wave, our AC unit stopped working on Monday. All the companies were mentioning minimum one-week wait time, but I was able to make an appointment with AHA for service on Friday. On Wednesday (two days earlier than my appointment), AHA called me and sent Rudy to repair my AC unit. The company gave me a few calls to make sure that I would know when Rudy would arrive at my home. Rudy quickly diagnosed the problem and got my AC unit working in 30 minutes.
