I've had an extremely frustrating experience with Above All Pool Care / Crystal Falls Pools, and I would strongly caution anyone considering them. The quality of service has been consistently poor -- it feels like the pool techs rush through jobs and cut corners instead of doing things correctly. On top of that, the communication is terrible. Trying to reach anyone is nearly impossible; calling them turns into a constant game of phone tag, and responses are either delayed or nonexistent. Scheduling is another major issue. They show up at completely random times with zero notice -- no heads-up, no consistent service day, nothing. That alone makes it incredibly difficult to plan around, especially if you have pets or a busy schedule. To make matters worse, they've complained about animals on the property, yet they don't provide any notification before arriving. That lack of communication makes their complaints feel completely unreasonable. The biggest problem, though, is that they ended up damaging my pool and have refused to take accountability or work toward any kind of resolution. That's where this goes from frustrating to unacceptable. Overall, the lack of professionalism, poor communication, inconsistent scheduling, and refusal to resolve issues make this a company I would not recommend. If you care about your pool and want reliable service, I would look elsewhere. read more

Apparently ensuring appropriate water level for a pool is too much to ask. This company will perform a weekly substandard service, and will refuse to take ownership on the simplest of tasks. We have had a dirt pile in the corner of our pool for over 3 weeks now that has not been cleaned (I have photos with time/date stamps). Our pool level has been way too high for 6 weeks causing the pool to leak through the top and causing damage to our travertine and surrounding trees and plants. Checking the pool level and auto leveler is NOT a part of their service we have come to find out. Which in the opinions of 3 other companies, is routine maintenance. This is a shame as we loved working with Kenny when we first moved here a few years back. Once Kenny left, our services from this company have been on a down hill spiral. The pool equipment has had a leak for quite some time now which could have been easily identified by any pool technician that performs routine maintenance. This company is not recommended. read more

A few weeks ago I decided to have my pool glass beaded because of some calcium buildup around the edges. the first vendor was unreliable and then when he did finally show up, left the job 30 minutes later citing that he didnt think we would be satisfied with the work he was doing. I have now used Above All Pool Care a few times over the past couple of years, and am continually impressed. Not only do I receive prompt and courteous service, but the work is done completely and professionally, and the charges are more than reasonable. For example: my pool filtering (both skimmer and floor unit) was working very poorly and often stopping entirely. Above All could have told me anything that wanted and I wouldn't know if they were gaming me or not, particularly since it was necessary to take the filter motor apart. Problem was a stone lodged in the impeller, but if they had said I needed a new filter motor I would never have suspected anything. In any case, the stone was removed, and while he was there, Ken (who = Above All Pool Care as far as I can tell) also fixed a minor seal problem, inspected and repaired the weir (door to the skimmer) which was sticking, and, just for laughs, replaced a couple of other cracked pieces. He left the filter running and by the time I got home, the pool was pristine. The bill came today for $128, which included $30 in parts and tax. No matter what criteria you use to judge service companies -- availability, courtesy, professional ability, honesty -- Above All is above all. Nope: not a relative or friend. read more

I recently came home from a vacation during monsoon season to find I had a green "south Phoenix foreclosure style" looking pool... Happened quickly too, but I could not see the bottom. It was Sunday at 1pm. I yelped for help and Ken called in a matter of minutes. Long story short, he had someone there that next morning killing all the green and his service worked through The night on Thursday and through the weekend to empty the pool, scrub it all down, did the tiles and a complete setup. We have monthly service with another local pool company that we've had numerous issues with. When our pool pump when out, we got a quote from our monthly service company and wanted a second opinion. I contacted Ken with Above All Pool Care and he seemed much more knowledgeable and honest. He quoted the pool pump as well as giving me other advice that our regular service provider never provides about general set up and maintenance. Due to the holiday, our replacement appointment was schedule a little further out after the pump actually broke, but Ken's son came to check on the chemical balance in between at no charge. I called a few places for quotes to have our pool drained & refilled, tile cleaned, and DE filter cleaned out. Ken came out and looked at our pool and gave me quotes which were very reasonable. We had a couple other issues I wanted addressed, one being a skimmer door problem, and the other was the eyeball diverters were literally plastered so that they didn't turn or move at all. The work was scheduled about a week later, and they came out on a Sunday to start the drain, and then on Monday did all the tile cleaning, power washing off of the algae, chlorine bath, filter clean out, and fixing other things on Monday. Pool was refilling by noon Monday! Tile looks great, pool clean and fresh, and even the pool cleaner is moving much better now.
