Wow, this place is an absolute banger and a vibe. Dimly lit, communal tables, feels like another country like Portugal or Brazil. Something along those lines since Abraço means hug in Portuguese. I loved this place so much. Got a cortado and an egg and pesto sandwich. It was small cute and delicious. They were spinning some sort of Brazilian music. I need to come back here and try more cafe items; the sparkling espresso caught my eye. LOVELY place.

Quality of coffee was very good. There was a line Saturday afternoon but it moved quickly. Service was quick as well. Would definitely recommend.

I'm in this phase right now where I get annoyed when I see latte art on a cappuccino because, honestly, I don't think you can have the proper foam for a cappuccino if you can also do latte art on it. I prefer the 90s style ones. So I went into Abraco and asked for an extra-dry cappuccino, because that's the only way I know how to get a real one. (Yes, I know how pretentious that sounds, but as an ex-barista, I'm allowed.) The barista told me they couldn't do that, which was annoying. I got my cappuccino, saw the latte art, and got annoyed again, but then I was totally humbled when it turned out to be super foamy and very perfect. So, to the worker... my bad for doubting you. You got me. The vibe here is really nice. They play good music, the seats are comfy, and the overall atmosphere is great. There is a weird sign that says something like, "If you are waiting for someone, do not sit at a table to wait for them." I hope that's just there for show and not something they actually enforce because policing customers like that feels a little much. All that aside, it's a solid spot with a very foamy cappuccino. Again, sorry for doubting. You win you win.

    Picture that was so offensive

do NOT waste your time money or effort. I really don't go out of my way to leave reviews and as someone who has tried a LOT of New York City restaurants and coffee shops I'm trying to save you. The attitude is RANCID in this place and the misery is so loud. My boyfriend and I were having a lovely Sunday stroll when he said this place looked cool and he could go for a coffee. As soon as I walked in I was excited because he was right this hidden coffee shop in nyc was super pretty inside so I excitedly got out my phone to take a picture of it. Well apparently in 2026 that might as well be a criminal offense. The barista with mousey brown hair clear glasses and apparently a miserable home life immediately had a sour expression. She starts gossiping in front of my face to the customer in front of me about how obnoxious it is I'm trying to photograph her in her place of work. Very passive aggressively and miserable and immediately throwing out the worst vibes and energy. Some serious issues were on display. Other reviews have said it felt like getting yelled at in high school and I couldn't agree more. First of all please I'm begging you LEAVE CUSTOMER SERVICE ITS NOT UR CALLING and it's taking a toll on you. I have held customer service facing positions and for one you represent the establishment you are in, you're at work clocked in, please be a professional upstanding functional member of society. I can't think of a single boss that would like you gossiping about their patrons because they were enjoying the vibe that was curated. I have had children rip my hair out and didn't snap at anyone or try to gossip about it. I have had customers be unprofessional, wrong, loud and guess what I held my composure and continued helping them with a big smile. If a phone camera is all it takes for you to absolutely lose your cool I think we seriously need to consider therapy or at least a job in the back of the house. Second of all please get over yourself, I can't think of a single reason I would want a picture of you. Patrons are obviously excited about the effort that was made to curate the vibe inside and want to document it. You were aggressive nasty and I hope whoever manages this restaurant understands your employees set the tone. I will absolutely never be returning here and I have started spreading the word far and wide. It's disappointing considering we are local to the east village and were just excited to be enjoying a Sunday together, capturing memories to cherish. I happen to like taking pictures of everything and scrapbooking. I wasn't aware I had to get your royal highnesses permission before snapping a shot in a coffee shop im paying to be in. Unfortunately the photo just represents a bad memory now and I really need whoever owns this place to realize the harm you're doing to it by ignoring these 1 star reviews. It's hard to make it in NYC as a restaurant and especially as a coffee shop. In just two years I've seen many come and go and you're not doing yourself any favors. I hope you catch the wrong person on the wrong day and they put you and this entire coffee shop in your place online. To top it all off the coffee is SOOO nasty. I've had better coffee at a 7/11, but honestly that's to be expected. You can't make good food or drinks with a miserable heart. I also wanted to add the vibe is hostile before anyone even opens their mouth. There's several aggressive signs that you CANNOT use a laptop and you can't even look at a table until you have gotten in line to order. I've seen other reviews talk about getting kicked out for waiting for their to go drink NEAR a table not even occupying it. Overall this place has super dark rancid vibes and it's making me super suspicious that they're still in business. They have horrible customer service horrible products a pretty hidden location and no class. I def think someone should look into how they're still in business.

Stumbled upon this cafe when it started down pouring and so glad we did! The coffee, pastries and vibes were all on point.

Coffee was fantastic. It was very busy and there was a line, but it moved quickly. We were lucky a table opened up so we could sit and enjoy our cappuccinos. Everyone was friendly and this is a definite stop if you haven't tried this place before. I highly recommend it.

Great espresso, reasonable prices, and lovely people. Also great music playing. I've lived in the area for a while and never stopped by because I saw that there are no laptops welcome, and I usually only go to cafes to get work done. I can't wait to come back, and I feel like an idiot for not stopping by sooner!!

It's kind of a punk rock hipster yet very European vibe in here. Disco balls, fun music, and music stuff with funky artwork on the walls. My first time coming here after brunch I was a little put off because I wanted to look at the menu and the woman behind the counter got mad at me and pointed to the end of the line. Uh okay. There's no signage anywhere else to view the menu and I'd just hold up the line if I read it over when I got up there to order but fine. The coffee is super intense as a warning. Like nuclear levels intense but in the good way. I ordered a macchiato the first time. Not really knowing what a macchiato is intently but I thought it was bigger than an espresso. Literally was an espresso with a dash of foam. I've seen them cup sized instead of shot sized before though so was kind of hoping for that. Second time I came back to give them another shot I got something more my speed with an iced latte. It was delicious. Intense but still great. They also serve Spanish beer with olives dipped in them. It's quirky and eclectic. I like it but if I was trying to get work done I'd probably be way too distracted. It feels like a more social coffee/bar type of place. But Abraco anyway means a "hug" in Portugese. All this time I thought they were Spanish. That's pretty cool.

SHE LOOKED AT ME DEAD IN THE EYES AND HANDED THIS TO ME IT WAS NOT EVEN FILLED TO THE TOP????!!!!??!!!!!

I got an orange juice to go, lady hands me the smallest cup known to man AND DOES NOT EVEN FILL IT UP TO THE TOP. Keep in mind already have tiny ass hands and this cup was not even breaking 4 inches in length. AND SHE DID NOT EVEN FILL IT UP TO THE TOP. it was 6.83 AND they were tryna sell rotten tangerines for a dollar each. I hate New York

Luckily, there was one table available on the side to enjoy my olive oil cake along with a piccolo latte in a tall glass.
