Ludlow Coffee Supply became my daily stop during my entire stay in the Lower East Side and I am not even a little sorry about it. I had about ten lattes over the course of my trip and every single one was perfect. I ordered the bourbon vanilla latte and it was absolutely incredible. Service is super fast too, you are in and out with a latte in about three minutes which is ideal when you are exploring the city. What makes this spot even cooler is that there is a really rad clothing store in the back which makes it a fun little discovery every time you walk in. Great coffee, great vibes and a hidden shopping moment all in one. If you are staying in the LES this needs to be your go to morning stop. read more

I was up early and looking for a coffee shop open in my neighborhood. Saw that Ludlow coffee supply opens at 7 so I strolled over. I entered at exactly 7:01am, and said 'hello' to the girl behind the register. She proceeds to stare at me without so much as a reply and then shares an eye roll with her co worker, as if my mere presence there somehow offended her. I tried again: "good morning," I said- to which she finally replied, with quite the affect: "what can I get you" Truly the only thing I could reason was that the barista was bothered that a customer came in as soon as they opened and she somehow thought it appropriate to not only ignore a friendly greeting, but to quietly (very visibly) gripe with her colleague about it. Hate to break it to the barista there, but the place opens at 7, so maybe dont act so flabbergasted that customers might enter and do something crazy like say "hello" and ask for a coffee... Maybe I'm getting old, but I find the Gen Z affect truly shocking sometimes... they seem to think they can behave with total impunity, broadcasting without shame their inane, acidic, and constant state of 'omg I am not ok right now.' They throw it at anyone they please, all with a complete disregard for simple human decency. I must say, I did have a pleasant remainder of my day. I needed an afternoon pick me up and came here for coffee. My friend and I got the Vietnamese iced coffee ($6.50). I was disappointed. It was not that strong or flavorful. The flavor was there but not strong and hit me in the face kind of strong which is what I am accustomed to/like for my Vietnamese iced coffee. read more

Cool spot, and I came in with a simple plan: grab a coffee, knock out some work, be on my way. Turns out that was everyone else's plan too. There's ample space and plenty of seating, and if you want to be the person visibly typing away on a MacBook, working on a screenplay or vibe-coding something, this is unmistakably the spot for it. Cute little coffee spot downstairs of an office building. It's beautiful inside, with comfy seating. They also have an outdoor area where you're surrounded by plants! Really nice and calming. The baristas were great, and very helpful when I was decided what I wanted. They have seasonal drinks, so it was nice of them to recommend some of the favorites and most popular. Great coffee, service and space! Barista had great technique and service. Soy flat white came out perfectly and looked nice. I appreciate the both being able to taste the beans through the soy milk and the design. Im obsessed with lighter single origin roasts in my flat white but the espresso blend they use here was great and made a tasty cup. I really attribute it to the artful skill of the barista because lately everyone's been screwing up temperature and foam, but he got it right. Space is also warm and cozy, good music, good vibe. Cute coffee shop and vintage apparel shop combo with a laid back vibe. Dropped by on a Saturday afternoon around 2pm and it started out pretty empty though got crowded soon after. Ordering is at the counter in the front and you pick up drinks around the side. I placed my order for a flat white with oat, grabbed a seat, chatted with my friend for 5 min, went back to the counter and the barista told me they just made the drink but apparently someone else had grabbed it, thankfully they were quick to make another. One of the better chai lattes! You can taste the spice and chai herbs. You couldn't adjust the sugar level but it wasn't overly sweet. Get it with oat milk for a silky finish. It was so convenient having Ludlow Coffee Supply be right next door to the Ludlow Hotel where I was staying. While working, I would swing by for an afternoon matcha. The drink was consistently rich and flavorful each time. I ordered the Bourbon Vanilla Latte on another occasion but was not a huge fan. I left it for the hubby to drink later in the day. However, it got much sweeter as I got to the bottom of the drink. Not sure if the flavoring was mixed well, or it just naturally sinks. Other than that, I enjoyed it. Grabbed a seat at the bar table to get some work done. There is free wifi. Not all the outlets work, but there are a decent amount. There isn't that much seating available as the back area is the HQ for Sweet Chick. Stopped by Ludlow on the last morning of our visit to NYC a couple weeks ago to visit our daughter. I ordered a hot mocha with oat milk and it was excellent -- one of the best I've ever had. Don't remember what my wife and daughter got, but they enjoyed their drinks too. Icing on the cake were the vegan cinnamon roll and maple bun that we bought to take along with us on the flight back to San Diego. I haven't written a review on yelp in years but my unfortunate experience at this coffee shop made me come out of hibernation. Went here for a cappuccino and they used spoiled milk... it was made in a rush and the foam was completely messed up. The coffee tasted weird while I was drinking it but I wrote it off as a fluke... perhaps they just burned the coffee a bit. An hour later my stomach started to feel awful. I hadn't eaten anything else that morning (I typically skip breakfast and just have a coffee) so I knew it had to be the coffee. Given the weirdness with the foam and the taste, it had to have been bad milk. I had bad stomach pains for 2 days before things started to feel normal again. Apparently spoiled milk is poisonous... There are tons of other great coffee shops in the area.. walk a couple more blocks and go to those. read more

I stopped by Ludlow Coffee Supply in Manhattan and ordered a small hot chocolate. While a bit on the pricey side for its size, $4 + some change, it was totally worth it taste and texture wise! I ordered it with oat milk and it was very creamy and flavorful. It tasted similar to a mocha and was nice and hot on a cool day. As an added bonus, the cashier asked if I wanted a free baked good on the house and I chose a blueberry muffin, which I ate for breakfast the next morning. I got a matcha latte with oat milk for $5 which is an unbeatable price here. There are bathrooms at Sweet Chick, the restaurant next door. Came here immediately after flying in and needed some caffeine to keep me up from the red eye flight. Thanks to Yelp, I found this coffee shop that is near Russ and Daughters. Absolutely cute with an old school mixed with modern feel, the front looks like it would be small but the seating area extends to the back. We were lucky enough to grab the seating in the window and it was a perfect first time experience. Staff was friendly and efficient and I had a delicious maple latte. My visit was a week before COVID19 Shelter-in-Place was instilled so I am not sure what their operation is like right now.
