Today I had the worst experience at the ABS 1.0 location on 4th street in Rancho Cucamonga. I have been getting my haircut there by the Co-Owner, Ernesto for 2 years. My appointment was for 10:30 am. I was there early. I walked into the shop at 10:28 and the Co-Owner, Ernesto said, "Hello" as I sat in his chair --the second on the east side wall. The last time I was there was over a month ago. Instead of asking how I had been he was heavily engaged in a conversation with a barber next to him talking about movies. I sat there and listened to this banter go on for at least 5 to 6 minutes before he finally turned his attention and asked me what I would like to have done to my hair. I basically told him the usual as he has been cutting my hair now for over two years. He then continued with the banter with the barber next to us who had no client about movies and irrevelant chitchat. When he finally got around to actually picking up the clippers to cut my hair, he still did not acknowledge me but continued having this side bar conversation. This went on for at least 10-12 minutes before I finally said something. The smell of marijuana was extremely pungent coming over the back of my shoulder from him. I told him that what he was doing was extremely unprofessional and that I had paid for a service and I should be treated with respect instead of being ignored. There were three other barbers in the shop at the time engaging with their clients as barbers do when they have a client in their chair. He has never acted this way in two years but today he was a completely different person. Maybe it was because he was so high on marijuana that he forgot what professionalism is and how to treat a client. After I said something he stopped the conversation with the barber next to us that had no client. The entire time until he finished with my hair he did not say word to me. It was an extremely uncomfortable experience. You could just feel the tension. I was watching all the other barbers laughing with their clients and here I am in his chair feeling completely unwelcome and disrespected wondering what the heck is happening. When the haircut finished up, I got out of the chair and walked to the front counter to pay. I figured this was a good time to follow up on what had just happened before giving him my credit card. I said to him, "I don't know what just happened but the relationship that we had as a barber and a client has deteriorated." I said, "you haven't even apologized for what just happened." He said, "for what?!" With an attitude. I said, "you made me wait at least five to six minutes before you acknowledged me and made me listen to you talk about movies with your fellow barber.. You ignored me the whole entire time in your chair. I'm looking at the rest of the barbers engaging with their clients and you supposedly are the owner and you just acted this way and say, 'for what?'" He looked me in the eyes and said, " I don't have to talk to you." Whoa!! If this guy has a boss, he should be fired! This attitude and behavior is completely unacceptable! At that point I said, "I shouldn't have to pay for this haircut. You are completely out of line." He then said, " Don't pay! Just bounce and get the f#@k out out of the shop and you are not welcome to come back --weirdo!" I said, "I don't plan on ever coming back here again." I walked outside to my car and the Co-Owner came out the front door and stood at the front of the shop and continued yelling at me and disrespecting me until I got in my vehicle and drove away. My advice --stay away from this location. There are plenty other Barber shops that understand what professionalism is and take pride in their craft without showing up to work "high" and belittling a client as their breathing their marijuana breath all over them. read more

Walked into this establishment in two separate occasions and all I heard was whom I believe to be an owner yelling at his staff, berating them. How unprofessional. As a supervisor I would never speak to my staff like that especially in front of other customers. As a customer I would never support a business that has no respect for their staff. I think I will go to The Barbershop down the street and get a cut from barbers that are respected. A management class may be helpful but my first and second opinion will not change. read more

Been a couple times on a day's notice and my cut came out real good! Edwin would pop up on my feed a few times a month from mutuals and they were happy with him so I gave it a shot. Clean Atmosphere, and even heard some of the barbers talking about going out and bringing in more clients. Something usual shops don't do, just have their guys waiting in chairs hoping for walk in's. The service was exactly what i asked for. The barber was super friendly. All the barbers were very friendly and said welcome when I came into the shop. I was a walk in they took me right away. I went yesterday right after work at like 5 ish and didn't have to wait to get a cut and beard trim. That was really cool. Worst service ever. I did a walk in and the barber i got was very rude. Wont recommend this place to anyone. The barber name is Saul. He blamed the mess up on me looking down on my phone when he could have asked me to nicely to put the phone away or to look up. Never had this issue at any barbershop. I am also shocked because this is the second time i go to your barbershop and the first time i had a great experience but the second time was really bad. My work schedule is not what it use to be so I'm not always able to keep my normal barber Enrique, but with a shop with so much talent I did not need to look far for a second barber with my crazy schedule. The boy ALEX is a young talented man with the blades. He will not have you looking like a clown in the hood with a chili bowl hair cut. So bad .. we brought 3 boys with and appointment and there were people waiting for over 2 hours .. each one of the boys took AN HOUR!!! Really?? No wonder the waits are so long! I asked for a certain style of haircut and got a buzz cut instead. Took two hours and I came out looking like I just got drafted. Showed the barber two pictures before going in, specified how I wanted it and ended up having it look like neither. Chopped all my bangs off, went way shorter than in either picture, and didn't texture it appropriately. I originally wasn't planning on writing this review but after multiple looks in the mirror, I cannot be happy with this. This ruined my self esteem, and I know I won't be getting it back until it grows back in. Nothing personal to the barber that cut my hair.
