Not impressed. My son wanted his hair to remain long on top and to clean up the sides. He ended up with all of his hair cut and short. Almost a buzz cut. I called and spoke with the individual who did his hair and was met with defensiveness and an attitude. I did not plan on making a negative review when I called as bad hair cuts happen. This is a quality barber shop. The kid, I use that term loosely just because AB is like 22, is on his game. The barbers in the shop all seem like stand up guys who do quality work. This barbershop is located in a prime spot, very spacious inside and has new equipment from head to toe. There are more flat screen TVs to count and wonderful artwork on the walls. If you're looking for a great spot to get a haircut, this is the spot. I've been to several around the IE but haven't found a shop or barber that I'd be willing to go back to until I found Ab's! I travel thru California as a physician and grab a cut every two weeks, and by far the most appealing barbershop I have ever seen and experienced. This young man with a dream is making it happen. I'm very disappointed with Marcelo. I have been going to him for haircut and beard trimming and line up, for like 3 years now. I missed my appointment this past Saturday. for the first time ever in the past 3 years. (I understand on the website it states that for no shows on appointments there is a $20.00 fee) but i get a text from Marcelo that the fee is $35.00. and i tell him it says $20.00 on your website and that is all i am willing to pay. it's really sad that he tries to get over on people like that charging more than what his company states on it's website that's fraud!!! i don't think i can support a company that condones this type of behavior. read more

These barbers are serious about their craft. Im a picky client and they always treat me right and do a great job on my haircut. I have a busy schedule so I can't always commit to a time for an appointment so I usually walk in and this is the only barber shop that I've visited where the barbers dont treat me like crook for walking in without an appointment. Most of the barbers are booked with appointments(good barbers are in high demand) but they have a few barbers that keep their schedules open so they can accept the walk in traffic. I spoke to one of the owners ernesto about my situation and how I didn't want to hassle the barbers as a walk in due to my usual experience with other shops and he was very accommodating. He said walk in anytime and somebody will take care of me. They close at 8pm and one time I was running late from the office and I called and asked if somebody was willing to take me if I showed up at 7:55pm and Ernesto said he would get me no problem. I appreciated that type of effort and of course I took care of him for taking care of me. Overall great shop, great atmosphere, great shop banter and jokes. This is my hometown barbershop now and I won't be changing that any time soon. Thanks Ab's!!! read more

We've been coming here since they opened and usually the barbers show up when we make appointments, but the last couple times they decide not to show up when my children have their appointments. No one calls to tell us they canceled our appointments or aren't coming in they just don't show up. That's horrible customer service. They also come in late all the time and have their appointments waiting. When you make an appointment the barber should be there on time, not when they feel like getting their. I've been coming here since day 1, there are a few good barbers here but other then that they're unreliable. Ab needs to fire all these guys who flake on all their clients. We get charged a late fee but barbers can just not come in whenever they feel like it. I'll never be back. read more

I wanted to try a different barber place and I tried this one for the first time. I was greeted in and they were able to take me right then and there.
