CALL DAN - don't bother with those "closet-world" garage organizing services that will come out, waste 2 hours of your time, and try to up-sell you into something four-times as much as you wanted to spend to begin with, regardless of whether you told them ahead of time or not. Dan was professionally skilled, with great customer service and response time. Pricing is direct and up front. Work is done on time, and Dan did a great job with installation! He even helped me organize a little :) We had floor shelves installed, wall shelves and overhead shelving. Unbelievable how much room we have in the garage now! Let me just tell you straight up: Dan is a professional, all the way. He called to give me his ETA, showed up promptly. When we determined that my garage was actually too small for an overhead rack, he quickly helped me problem solve to create more space. I love it when people are honest and helpful like that. Did not try to sell me something that wouldn't work. I then sheepishly asked him if he'd help me hang something in the garage (a chandelier that had candles in it). In a flash, he had his ladder and his drill out and we got that thing hung right away, within minutes. I was so grateful. I also asked him if he does other projects, like building wooden planters. I texted him a photo. If he can't do it, he probably knows someone who can! So although I cannot Yelp about storage racks, I can attest to his good character. And that's worth a LOT these days! I was referred to Dan by a neighbor to do my roof - he has since shut down his roofing department. I should have known he was trouble when he said he'd come Friday to measure and instead came Saturday, didn't even knock on the door, just hopped up there. We were under contract, come start day he didn't show. Or call, or text. I called him - he said he had his license suspended for workers comp issues. We went back and forth for 2 months on him saying he'd start and he didn't show, and didn't warn he wouldn't show. Finally after he was supposed to show and start he didn't - only after I called him he told me he was shutting down his roofing division because it was too much trouble. Given there are so many quality contractors out there, I wouldn't waste my time with this company. read more

Our experience with both Dan and Safe Racks was as great as everyone else's. Dan was professional, on time and made the installation in an hour. He had great ideas on using the small amount of space in our garage. The 4'x8' foot rack Dan installed is great. It will hold lots of bins plus we have three bikes hanging from it as well as beach chairs. Another bike sits on the garage floor below. That's space for 4 bikes, stuff and a car in a tiny one car garage. What a problem solving product. Yay! Dan noted that we can fit another, smaller rack in if we need to. Our garage ceiling is very busy - with sprinkler heads and lights - so we thought it would be difficult to place the Safe Racks.
