Bathroom. Vanity and toilet were taken out and put back after installation.

Entire experience was positive despite a couple hiccups. The first visit was on time and quick to get a quote to install about 150 SF of luxury vinyl plank (LVP) in the basement. I received several other quotes that varied because some installers suggested removing the old laminate and others (including Absolute Flooring) suggested laying the new LVP over the old laminate. Absolute Flooring returned to examine the old flooring more closely and suggested that the old laminate in the laundry room be removed since some pieces were loose. The bathroom tile was already part of the quote to be removed. The old laminate in the utility closet would remain since it was glued down solidly. At the time of the second visit, new LVP samples were provided so I could look and feel each type. Other installers emailed photographs of samples or sent me links to visit stores to look at samples. I don't mind doing that but appreciate that Absolute Flooring returned with samples. Absolute flooring changed its initial quote after suggesting that the old laminate in the laundry room be removed. Even though it cost a little more, it was worth the updated suggestion to avoid problems down the road. Installation began on time. LVP and baseboard installation was completed the same day, however, they were a few tiles short, so another box was ordered. Follow up installation was a 3 days later at which time a few caulk spots along the baseboard and bathroom vanity were touched up. The follow up installation date was set up immediately, but the time changed three times. I assume it was because my follow up installation was pretty minor, and they had to work around larger jobs especially with traffic in northern Virginia. I was home all day, so it was ok that they changed the time so often. The missing tile pieces around the water heater and inside the utility closet were installed. I appreciate the attention to detail and tidiness. I also liked how text and email updates were provided.

Based on research, calls, and reviews, we selected Absolute Flooring (Edwhar, Carlos, and Tony) to refresh our hardwood floors and install a new set of stairs and railings in our 1810 home. New carpet was installed upstairs and the original flooring downstairs was refinished. 200-year-old wide-plank floors require a delicate and thoughtful approach. We thoroughly discussed the best solution for the few splintered boards that had reached the end of their useful life, how to manage gaps, and how to stain the final product. The best testament is that you cannot tell the difference between original and replacement boards. That was due to the craftsmanship and dedication Edwhar and his team provided to make it absolutely perfect. We love our new and refinished flooring, stairs, and railings and recommend Edwhar and his team without hesitation.

I recently got my flooring redone in both my basement and my bedroom. Although things did not go 100% as expected, Edwhar was extremely helpful in making sure everything was completed and the finished product looked great. Absolute Flooring installed the Luxury Vinyl Plank. The thing that made them stand out above the others was the attention to detail. They made sure that the trim was installed and there was a clear separation between rooms. I was very pleased with the end result.

My wife and I have dealt with a lot of contractors in the process of fixing up our house, and we…read morecan say that the team at FloorCraft is among the finest and most professional we've dealt with. After another contractor we used did an abysmal job installing LVP flooring during a renovation, we did extensive research on flooring companies (not wanting to be burned again by a large company with too many employees and not enough supervision). Marty had extensively excellent reviews across every review site his company is listed on. Now that the process is complete, we understand why those reviews were so excellent. The work crew who installed the flooring was phenomenal -- quick, professional, tidy and adaptive to our requests. Somehow, I think they left our home cleaner than when they arrived, which is not an experience I've had with any other renovation contractor before. The flooring installation itself has far exceeded our expectations, with FloorCraft proactively identifying problems and fixing them along the way. The finished product -- both the flooring and the trim work -- looks great and we've received nothing but compliments from those who have seen it. Marty was also honest throughout the buying process about what he thought would work for us and what might prove challenging, costly, or require trade-offs (like needing to move out temporarily if we chose to re-sand, which we did not). We felt that we received an accurate, complete picture of the variables involved in the process and were able to come to an informed decision that worked for us, our property, and our budget. With respect to the cost of the process, we felt that the bid we received was extremely fair. Marty's bid to us was detailed and provided a breakdown of where our money was going. Marty was also extremely patient answering our questions and helping to track down answers, making himself available by email and personal cell phone before, during and after the installation. We always felt like he was responsive within a reasonable time frame. We can't recommend FloorCraft (and Marty) enough after this process, and we're looking forward to using him and his team again for future flooring projects.

The team worked relatively quick. That's all I can say that is positive. The work looks sloppy…read more They made a huge mess, only cleaning up partially. There are still shavings of material all in the carpet. They didn't lay anything down clearly. They spilled something on the counter top that dripped onto an appliance. They ran the quarter round behind the fridge but not behind the oven, leaving the sub floor exposed. Worst of all is the puddle of urine they left around the toilet. I don't understand how one could miss so much. The bathroom smells like urine now. It's very hard to believe this company has such a high rating. I guess you have to be home and watch the team work for them to be respectful of your home. I'm disgusted.
