He came out to my home himself, looked at the issues and immediately sent out someone to fix the painting on the stairs. Elmer (the painter) did a fantastic, meticulous job and made the staircase look beautiful. I really appreciated that the company took the time to make the time to make things right and after seeing their level of customer service, wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing floor work in the future! Original review (3stars): I was super excited to get my floors sanded and refinished by Absolute Flooring. Their quote was great, they did the project in a timely manner and their customer service was spot on--until the very end. The floors ended up looking beautiful and I commend them on a job well-done there. Unfortunately, they got the stain everywhere, including light switches, walls, and all over the white paint between the stairs. I requested someone come in to fix it and make it look finished (instead of the messy look it had) and was told 'it is too small of a job for the workers to come out to fix, you should be able to do it yourself.' I was extremely disappointed that this was their reaction and even told them I was unhappy and their response was simply that I needed to pay off the balance--they didn't care that I wasn't pleased. Updated Review: I am updating my review from earlier today from a 1 star to a 3 star because I got a call from Edwhar. He was very apologetic of our experience thus far. He mentioned that we were on the schedule for tomorrow (July 15, 2017). Unfortunately we already had the work done by another company as a same day call in after I'd gotten off the call with the young lady who initially told me that we were not on the schedule for tomorrow. This incident seems more like a fluke... life does that to us sometimes. Anyhow, because of his call we will most definitely keep this company in mind once we move into our new home. To me calling a customer after a not so great review and still being pleasant earns you a lot of BONUS brownie points in customer services. Initial Review: I really wanted to give this company a positive review but they ruined it. I made an appointment for the company to come and give us an estimate for replacing our carpet in the entire house. The appointment was for Saturday, July 8, 2017. About a week before I called them back and told them that we decided not to replace the carpet but to have it restrecthed instead. I asked if they could still come out on July 8th but to give us an estimate for the restretching. The gentlemen I spoke with said that he did not need to come to give me an estimate for that service, that he could give it to me over the phone. I told him what areas of our home we need adjusted and he quoted me $575. Great. He then says they can still come to our home on July 8th and do the job at that time. The time we scheduled was for 8am-10:30pm. Great. July 8th at 8am comes and no one from the company has shown up... 8:30am... still no one. So around 9am I call the company twice and get no answer. A gentelman rings me back and tells me that there is a conflict on his schedule and that while he thought he could have the work done that he cannot. He then asked if we were going to be available the next day on Sunday, July 9, 2017. I told him no. That I would be available on the following Saturday, July 15, 2017. Then I told him to hold on and once I came back to the call I told him that we can be available on either day. He then says ok let me give you a call back. I never got a call back from him. Just to be safe we changed our plans for Sunday. Sunday came and went. No call from or sign of Absolute flooring. So I assumed that he rescheduled us for tomorrow... Saturday, 15, 2017. So I call them today just to be sure and their is no appointment in their system to come our house... usually my review would be way more animated but I am really disappointed. After seeing all there awesome reviews and photos of their work I was EXCITED to contract them to lay new hardwood and carpet in our new home. Now I have to go on a another mission to find another company. The young lady I spoke with offered to reschedule the appointment (again) and to give us a break on the price... that was nice but... I need a dependable company to work with for more than $500 of my coins. The photos that I've seen of their work look nice though... that is why I gave them a 1. Really more like 2.5 stars but I will round up. I called absolute flooring due to the wonderful ratings. I had already purchased laminate that I had planned to install myself. However, when I started pulling the carpet up I saw that the subfloor was not level so I decided I better have a pro do it. I told the lady I spoke to on the phone that I needed my subfloor leveled and then showed the gentleman who came to do the estimate my hallway where it was uneven. He sent me a quote and I will say that it did not say "leveling" anywhere but it did say "clean and prep subfloor" which I assumed meant more than the sweeping they did. Anyway, the estimate was a bit high, but the reviews were so great I decided to go for it. The Good: Showed up on time, were generally friendly, and worked quickly. I had a dispute about my bill which they resolved in a reasonable amount of time The Bad: First off, I asked the workers to be sure to mix up the prints of the laminate flooring. The man told me they were mixed in the box. I told him, no, they are not because I have opened a box and the stamps were grouped together. Well, the did NOT mix the prints and now I have repeating patterns through my whole house. In one place I have FOUR of the same pattern grouped together. It really catches my eye and bothers me. Next, they told me they were not going to remove the linoleum in my kitchen once on site. I said that was fine as long as it wouldn't hurt anything. Well, when it was time for me to settle my bill, they still charged me several hundred dollars to remove linoleum that they did not remove. I didn't notice till later in the day as I was exhausted from doing 2 weeks of renovations. Like I said, they fixed it and a few other things after I called, but if I hadn't called they would've just let me be charged for services not rendered which I feel is extremely unethical. The single biggest issue: THEY DIDN'T LEVEL THE SUBFLOOR. Literally the entire reason I paid a pro was to level the subfloor, but they didn't do that at all. In my small hallway they put cut up pieces of cardboard from the laminate packing to fill in gaps. I asked if this was appropriate and they assured me it was but now I am not so sure. I could've done that myself! Now I paid nearly $3k (not including the cost of the flooring) to have a giant and noticeable hump in my hallway as well as dips a few other places. When I brought this up to the guy who did the estimate he said his men told him that they gave me a quote to level it and that I said no. This is a flat out lie. No one mentioned anything until I asked about the cardboard and they all said it was how it's done. Not to mention that I told him from the beginning that I wanted it leveled so you should have quoted me for that from the beginning. He then said that he would send me a quote to level it (which he never did) and that they could come pull up the floor and level it and put it back (all at an additional charge to level). Again, this was the sole reason for hiring you. I should've been made aware of the cost from the beginning. And finally, and not as bad but still an inconvenience, they left extra baseboards here. I will note, they did NOT charge me for these baseboards so some would look at it as free stuff. However, I live in a condo and have nowhere to keep 16' long baseboards and no way to dispose of them. I was told they would come pick them up. That was nearly a month ago and they never came. Basically, I spent a lot of money that wasn't in the budget to be very unsatisfied unsatisfied. Update 3/4/2017: After leaving my first review the owner of the company contacted me that day (he obviously knew my job just by my review since he called me directly). We made an apt for him to come out and look at my floor. He came and while he obviously couldn't fix every issue I had, he agreed that the hump in my hall was unacceptable and should not have been handled that way. He also agreed that my marble threshold should not have been removed (this was yet another issue that I forgot to mention before). He said he would send a crew the following Friday to remove the flooring, level the area, and relay the flooring. He also told me to get new marble thresholds and they would replace them so that the wood flooring didn't go in the bathroom anymore. (They replaced both thresholds so they would match) Well, they came yesterday, chiseled down the hump and poured concrete to level it. Then they came back today to replace the flooring, thresholds, and baseboards. The area now looks great and how it should have the first time. I don't think my experience as a whole was a 5 star one as there are still the other things that happened and this issue definitely should have been fixed the first time. However, I am giving 5 stars for the way my problems were handled. There really wasn't anything more that they could have done after I left the review. My floor is fixed and I am happy. read more

So I can sit here all day and write the longest review on how professional and how satisfied I am with Absoute flooring along with there staff but I can only write so much lol. Basically I had gotten in touch with absolute flooring on a kitchen project I been wanting to do with my floors using tile or vinyl plank. So basically I got in touch with Edward and he helped me through the whole process of what I needed and what he recommend and also how it would all go down since the start with texting and phone calling at all times . He was very responsive and professional with his advice along with being very knowledgeable and friendly answering all my crazy questions and text . Then he sent his crew to my house shortly after we spoke several times in the early morning just like he said they will come. Man his crew were so clean while working and hauling all the old stuff out as they worked. I was very impressed by all that on how clean and how good they were doing the install. Then Edward came out to make sure everything was going smoothly and assured me the project will be done when he said it will which was only couple days from the start. I wish I knew these guys before I did my other flooring for other rooms but now that I found Edward and his crew I'm definitely going to use them for further projects! A note of caution about Absolute Flooring, LLC. They were recommended by a neighbor who had new hardwood floors installed, so we had Edwhar Nunez and his associate come by to give us an estimate to put down new hardwoods in our family room and re-stain our existing hardwoods. After providing an original estimate, he sent a draft contract and we went back and forth and agreed on a price. Mr. Nunez sent a second contract for review, and we noticed that he had changed the guarantee from one year to six months. Also, the contract stipulated that Absolute Flooring LLC was not responsible for "accidental furniture dings" as part of their $250 charge for moving and replacing furniture. When I asked to have him change the guarantee to the original one year (instead of 6 months) and to include a provision that Absolute Flooring would be responsible for any damage to furniture when moving it, I received an email from Mr. Nunez that same day saying that he "did not think we are the best match" for our "specific needs" and he decided to pass on the project. This came as a shock to us because he had said the day before that they could start the project within 3 days. It seems to me that Edwhar Nunez was not interested in working with homeowners who are attentive to details and catch "bait and switch" tactics such as alterations to the original contract. If you do decide to go with Absolute Flooring, LLC, make sure you read the fine print of their contract before you sign and pay the 50% they require before the job starts. The manner in which Mr. Nunez handled this process calls into question his company's trustworthiness and reliability. Beware of potential unscrupulous and underhanded business practices when dealing with Absolute Flooring LLC. read more

Edwhar and his team did a fantastic job refinishing my floors! I recently bought a house with original hardwoods, which looked like they had never been refinished (the house is 60+ years). The floors were in realllly rough shape with dark spots all over, dings,separation, and hardly any finish left at all. Absolute Flooring walked me through the whole process and was very upfront about the shape of my floors. They helped me to choose a stain (they put down samples of my top three so I could decide) that would hide any remaining dark spots they couldn't get out. We had old carpet removed and the wood floors underneath sanded stained and coated with Poly. These guys powered through a weekend and got all the work done by the end of the day Sunday. Edwhar and all his staff that we dealt with were professional, friendly and communicative. They responded quickly from the beginning and started the job right away. They were hard workers and you could tell they take pride in what they do. They were all a pleasure to deal with and we felt totally comfortable leaving them alone in our home. Edwhar and his team were great with timing and price. They were efficient and professional. However, what I noticed almost a year later is the gaps between our new carpet and the walls. We had Orkin come in and service for summer bugs and he noticed the gaps because the bugs were hiding under there and easily coming in and out as they pleased. He said he's seen flooring contractors who just pull the carpet with the knee pads (which is what Absolute Flooring did) and that is considered the lazy/cheap way of installation vs getting it under the baseboard which is supposed to hold it tight to the wall. All this considered, we would not use Absolute Flooring again and would definitely be willing to pay a higher price to get it our carpet looking great or years to come. read more
