*BAD NEW MANAGEMENT* this place was pretty good before, way better when it first opened, then they changed owners,changed menu, and took my favorite appetizers ( Thai street food ) off the menu...just went and saw it's under new management AGAIN since I went a few months ago (it was still good then)... now it's awful! my Thai tea tasted salty & wierd plus it was 3/4 full and not the same recipe! Also- my noodle dish literally had 2 shrimp! when questioned,The new management didn't see a problem with this...when is somebody going to get this place straight? used to be a great friendly guy that went above & beyond, he made the place good! now, there's a lazy, unfriendly woman...they are awful now, trying to cut corners and quality to save a buck ! saw in another review they gave a woman rotten mango twice! nope! too many other great Thai places I can go. I miss that guy that made customers feel special and gave us what we actually pay for! prices now are crazy ! for what? They have waaay too much competition for this nonsense...oh, and the ice cream was freezer burnt. read more

The food here is just excellent. Fresh, delicious, presented beautifully. Crispy, calamari, fragrant, spring rolls, pad Thai with shrimp where the sauce was the boss and a special iced milk tea Presented as an ombre in a glass. It was almost a dessert. read more

I tried this restaurant, located inside an indoor shopping center (and not easy for me to find), based on the positive reviews here. I ordered the Crab Rangoon and Pad Thai with shrimp, medium spicy. I ate the Crab Rangoon on the way home. They were rather greasy and I wasn't a fan. It was overpriced for $8.85. Once home, I opened the Pad Thai and there was no shrimp, just large, flat pieces of chicken. Not spicy, and it was not very tasty. I called the restaurant about the lack of shrimp and taste of the Pad Thai. The woman who answered offered to refund the Pad Thai. I thought she would refund the entire amount I paid, which was $18.95 for that dish. But no, she only refunded $14.95, the price for Pad Thai without shrimp. I wasn't pleased because I couldn't finish the dish, it tasted that bad. I ended up tossing it. Lesson learned for me -- I definitely won't return and I don't recommend this place. read more

Food was excellent. I had the Panang Curry and it had great flavor and good heat. I tried the Hot versus the Thai hot spice level and it was a good choice. Also ordered the wonton soup and it also had great flavor. I will definitely be back. read more

My first time ordering from here , and they did not disappoint! Everything was hot and fresh great flavor ! I ordered the drunken noodles with beef , and veggie fried rice ! I will be returning for sure ! And the thai milk tea was perfect, great flavor and not too sweet , she even waited to addd the ice until i got there so it wouldn't be watered down. Very disappointing! I got the Panang chicken and it tasted average. Worst part was the crab fried rice where they charge you $16 and all you get is four small pieces of crab meat; the crab fried rice also tasted disgusting and weird. We couldn't believe how bad they screw up on a fried rice that it tasted that bad. Will not be coming back base on first experience - not worth returning! read more

Best in northern Baltimore county. Legit flavors and tastes -not some guy who traveled to Phuket and then got curry in a pouch. If you want some unique flavors, tastes and some standards - keep this place alive. Not the coolest location, and a little strange about that choice, but you can't go wrong with the food. Tried brussels sprouts (what??) and some sort of ginger vege dish along with standards like chicken satay and curries (one Thai spicy) - all delivered as I might hope if we were overseas actually in Thailand. We're Asian foodies and have been to Thailand - so have some basic idea of legit and basics (little kids don't eat a lot of things). Thai offerings in the northern balt county are pretty mediocre to weak. Glad to see a legit tasting restaurant at a reasonable price. Ordering from them again, which is why I'm leaving this review. While the food is good, as long as you choose the right spice level for your taste, the service is below par. We ordered and paid online, then picked up our order. After unpacking the bag, we found there were missing items. I called the restaurant to let them know what was missing and to say we would be back to pick it up. Within seconds I received a call back from them to say they are sure they packed it and basically I was lying. In the meantime, my daughter arrived at the Restaurant and as they went back to the kitchen to make another, they found the missing item that was supposedly packed with our order. I will never order from Absolute Thai again. They were rude and accused me of lying when it was actually their mistake. I am shocked by their response. read more

Glad we tried this place! My friend and I had the Playboy Sushi roll (spicy tuna, salmon, tempura shrimp, sriracha mayo, eel sauce, sesame seeds) and the Gaeng Keow Wahn or green curry. The sushi was excellent! Perfect ratio of rice to fillings and so flavorful! The curry was rich and filling with great seasoning. I wouldn't have ordered the appetizer po peah sod but my friend's a fan of vegetarian and it was very fresh and light-tasting, with a good sweet nutty sauce. Portion sizes were large and the man who took our order was nice. The only issue was the seats weren't very comfortable, and the open walls meant it didn't seem to have its own style. I was excited to learn about this addition to Kenilworth. We ordered Massaman curry and Pad Thai - both with tofu and a Papaya salad. I always order a side of steamed veggies in addition to rice when I order curries. Here, I ordered the rice as the required selection with the curry and also ordered a side of veggies - both appeared on my receipt. Not only was the side vegetable order omitted from the carry out bag (which was stapled shut so I didnt check until I arrived at my final destination), but there were almost no vegetables to be found in either hot dish. The curry had two pieces of carrot and the Pad Thai had one green onion. The flavor of the papaya salad was off and the flavor of the curry was just ok. The Pad Thai was standard - not bad and great. The spice level of all dishes was accurate and reflected what we requested. Would I order from Absolute Thai again? Sure - I wouldn't go out of my way but if I find myself in the area I would give them a second try. Maybe it was an off day? I would not order the same menu items and I would definitely check to make sure everything I ordered made it inside the bag! read more
