Food is amazing! My first time trying Peruvian food. [[HIGHLIGHT]]And the ambiance made me want to try more things on the menu![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have many things so we are trying to try everything.

Absolutely Delicious! A True Taste of Peru I had an incredible lunch experience at this Peruvian restaurant. [[HIGHLIGHT]]From the moment we walked in, the warm hospitality and vibrant set the tone for a memorable meal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The lomo saltado was flavorful and tender, served with crispy fries and perfectly cooked rice. The Chanfainita perfectly balanced with just the right amount of spice. And the Picarones Desert Cripsy on the outside fluffy inside Amazing Delicious Brought me back Home. One of the best Peruvian restaurant! In the Antioch Area with a Variety of Plates and Desserts. Will definitely comeback!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]My first time here, was pleasantly surprised to see that this place had a small display with pastries and a little grocery section for what i figured were peruvian imports[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Love it, was looking for Mate de Coca, but i settled for a glass of cold Chicha de Amarillo. The sandwich de chicarron, very good. the bread is soft and seen homemade. Overall, delicious

I live in Oakley and I really wanted empanadas. We have two regular Mexican places we go to but no empanadas. I searched and found this place. Totally awesome. Small business owner, center of Antioch. I recommend it

So for does that went to their grand opening, and like it , I have good news they have a brand new menu and more items. I probably will not be coming back, it was overpriced and overrated. The food was ok , the packaging was 5/5 but the food was 3/5 , I ordered a Pan con lomo might as well be a Pan with onion, I tried for the first time yuca fries , not sure if they are supposed to be hard and chewy , so I can't rate that. I also got a box of Alfajores those were 5/5, in total with the Torta, yuca fries and cookies I spend $38.92 including a tip of 15%. The restaurant is nice and clean , customer service is good. Parking lot on the street or across or on the side.

Glad to see a new restaurant in downtown Antioch. Friendly workers, Lots of seating and easy to find parking next door. We ordered: Lomo Saltado (4.5/5) very good but i can't justify paying $18 for this plate. It's not a lot of food either. Pan con Chicharrón (4.5/5) this was so good. I loved the pickled onions with the sweetness of mashed sweet potatoes and the chicharrón. Now the little orange sauce they serve is booomb! I'd probably be back for the pan con chicharrón. * Sorry no food pictures, hunger won

They charge you an xtra dollar when u use your debit card . they dont even tell u that

I hope you pay attention . This business does NOT have a server. BUT they expect you to leave a LARGE tip. DON'T be like other naive and ignorant ppl that never check their bills. First time i went this year for Picarones, they're good , i cannot lie. I ordered an alfajor. It was COLD as an ice-cream. I have to get what I order at the register. The prices that they have on the menu are NOT as they are on they POS (computer). My second visit they told me that they ONLY serve picarones on Saturdays. Once again I have to pick up what I order from the counter. I did not have enough CA$H , so I almost pay with my debit card. THIS THIEF ADDED THE %18 tip . they do not have the NO TIP-Option on their payment device. As soon I notice he got embarrassed. I was like WHAT THE HECK?!!!!!. i borrowed some cashed from my friend. The Thief did not give me my change back. I had to ask him twice for my change.

I love Peruvian food, so I was really excited to try this restaurant! I ordered four empanadas and an alfajor. I asked for one of empanadas to be served warm so I could eat one on the drive home, but unfortunately they didn't taste fresh they had that freezer like flavor.. I waited until I got home to reheat them hoping they'd improve, but they still tasted the same! I probably won't order the empanadas again. I was a bit disappointed with the filling I wasn't a fan of it! I paid $32.78, so you can understand my frustration with receiving something that didn't feel up to quality. It seemed like they were beef picadillo style. I thought they'd be Peruvian style beef empanadas that usually include olives, egg, and raisins, but that was my fault for not asking and I assuming all places made them the same, but I don't recall seeing a description of the filling so maybe they could improve that on their end as well. The alfajor was good. Overall customer experience was friendly and fast! Something to keep in mind the pricing shown in their yelp menu images is completely different from the prices on their website. I didn't realize that until I was already there! Perhaps I'll give them another try in the future, but not anytime soon! Overall, I was disappointed with my experience.

Abuelita's House is one of my favorites places to go. The food is very tasty, very authentic and it is like you are eating at home. My daughter loves the tallarines verdes, the sweets and desserts they have. The service is great and very attentive. I definitely recommend this place.

If it's Sunday and you're not at Abuelita's house than you're in the wrong place!

Quality Peruvian food on this side of the Bay. They offer a variety of sandwiches, entrees and dessert. The fresh juices are made to order and affordable. They give you big food portions at decent prices compared to other Peruvian spots.

Luckily though, we didn't have an issue making a same day reservation. Once we were sat, it did take a bit for our server to get to us, but Wilfredo did great balancing how busy it was. So, we didn't really have an issue with it. He is so great we loved our interactions with him! For food, we ordered the Ceviche Limon, which had a combination of bright and citrusy (a lil spicy) sauce with fresh raw red snapper, squid, and shrimp with fried, crispy calamari tentacles. The combination of textures and flavors was delicious. We did opt in for the taro chips, which was the perfect vessel for the ceviche. We also ordered the Piqueo sampler, which had their chicharron de pollo, beef empanadas, platano frito, and yuca fries. Everything was delicious, though I was not super wowed by the empanadas and the yuca fries were a bit stale. The star of the show was the Fiesta de Carnes, which was their all meat platter with ribeye steak, grilled chicken, and pork belly with roasted potatoes chimichurri and aji amarillo. Ribeye was cooked perfectly, and the grilled chicken was quite literally the juiciest chicken I've had in a while. However, the pork belly was not crisp enough for both me and the amount of fat that the pork belly had. Had it been crispier this dish would have been 10/10. The aji amarillo was so good, not as spicy as other versions I've had before. I think it is worth the $2 they charge for extra. It was simplistic in decor but still fitting for the Peruvian cuisine the place executes well. Will be coming back to try pollo a la brasa or the arroz con mariscos.

We stopped in for a midweek lunch and were immediately impressed by the beautiful, quaint atmosphere. The restaurant has a wonderful Caribbean Latin feel with thoughtful decor that makes the space warm and inviting. Our server, Javier, provided excellent service. He was attentive, friendly, and prompt throughout our visit, making sure we had everything we needed. We tried the Yum-Numb Shrimp, Coconut Curry Chicken Empanadas, the Steak frites, Plantanos and the Taste of Key lime dessert. Every dish was delicious, full of flavor, and beautifully prepared. The combination of great food, excellent service, and a charming atmosphere made our anniversary lunch a memorable experience. We'll definitely be coming back to Lita to explore more of the menu and try some of the other dishes. Highly recommend giving this place a visit!

Ceviche was fresh and delicious. Oxtail and jerk chicken were on point. Their serving sizes for appetizers are a bit small but the main mills are pretty big. All drinks I've had have been delicious. The restaurant is really pretty and definitely a place for a nice date or cool brunch with friends. Service has always been fast and I enjoy seeing the chefs making the food at the bar. I recommend a reservation on weekends but overall it isn't too difficult to get a table.

The friend who had the bronzino said it was great. Service was fairly attentive, except that we had a fifth person join us late, and it would've been ideal if someone had come to take his order sooner. Drinks: I had an NA beer, which was nice, but one friend hated the white wine he ordered - if they'd had him taste it before bringing him a glass, that would've been better. My other friends had mojitos and said they didn't like the coconut rum, and would've preferred if it hadn't been flavored. Ambiance on a Sunday night was the same as I remembered when I went a year earlier - mostly groups eating near us, large TVs on the far wall showing soccer. Not a quiet place I'd want to go on a date. Note that this place is not cheap - entrees run around $40 each.
