They charge you an xtra dollar when u use your debit card . they dont even tell u that

I hope you pay attention . This business does NOT have a server. BUT they expect you to leave a LARGE tip. DON'T be like other naive and ignorant ppl that never check their bills. First time i went this year for Picarones, they're good , i cannot lie. I ordered an alfajor. It was COLD as an ice-cream. I have to get what I order at the register. The prices that they have on the menu are NOT as they are on they POS (computer). My second visit they told me that they ONLY serve picarones on Saturdays. Once again I have to pick up what I order from the counter. I did not have enough CA$H , so I almost pay with my debit card. THIS THIEF ADDED THE %18 tip . they do not have the NO TIP-Option on their payment device. As soon I notice he got embarrassed. I was like WHAT THE HECK?!!!!!. i borrowed some cashed from my friend. The Thief did not give me my change back. I had to ask him twice for my change.

I live in Oakley and I really wanted empanadas. We have two regular Mexican places we go to but no empanadas. I searched and found this place. Totally awesome. Small business owner, center of Antioch. I recommend it

So for does that went to their grand opening, and like it , I have good news they have a brand new menu and more items. I probably will not be coming back, it was overpriced and overrated. The food was ok , the packaging was 5/5 but the food was 3/5 , I ordered a Pan con lomo might as well be a Pan with onion, I tried for the first time yuca fries , not sure if they are supposed to be hard and chewy , so I can't rate that. I also got a box of Alfajores those were 5/5, in total with the Torta, yuca fries and cookies I spend $38.92 including a tip of 15%. The restaurant is nice and clean , customer service is good. Parking lot on the street or across or on the side.

Mom and pops Peruvian restaurant. Cozy home style restaurant on 2nd St. Been taking family a few times now. We always have a great time. Strongly recommend the food!

Glad to see a new restaurant in downtown Antioch. Friendly workers, Lots of seating and easy to find parking next door. We ordered: Lomo Saltado (4.5/5) very good but i can't justify paying $18 for this plate. It's not a lot of food either. Pan con Chicharrón (4.5/5) this was so good. I loved the pickled onions with the sweetness of mashed sweet potatoes and the chicharrón. Now the little orange sauce they serve is booomb! I'd probably be back for the pan con chicharrón. * Sorry no food pictures, hunger won

I love Peruvian food, so I was really excited to try this restaurant! I ordered four empanadas and an alfajor. I asked for one of empanadas to be served warm so I could eat one on the drive home, but unfortunately they didn't taste fresh they had that freezer like flavor.. I waited until I got home to reheat them hoping they'd improve, but they still tasted the same! I probably won't order the empanadas again. I was a bit disappointed with the filling I wasn't a fan of it! I paid $32.78, so you can understand my frustration with receiving something that didn't feel up to quality. It seemed like they were beef picadillo style. I thought they'd be Peruvian style beef empanadas that usually include olives, egg, and raisins, but that was my fault for not asking and I assuming all places made them the same, but I don't recall seeing a description of the filling so maybe they could improve that on their end as well. The alfajor was good. Overall customer experience was friendly and fast! Something to keep in mind the pricing shown in their yelp menu images is completely different from the prices on their website. I didn't realize that until I was already there! Perhaps I'll give them another try in the future, but not anytime soon! Overall, I was disappointed with my experience.

Abuelita's House is one of my favorites places to go. The food is very tasty, very authentic and it is like you are eating at home. My daughter loves the tallarines verdes, the sweets and desserts they have. The service is great and very attentive. I definitely recommend this place.

If it's Sunday and you're not at Abuelita's house than you're in the wrong place!

Quality Peruvian food on this side of the Bay. They offer a variety of sandwiches, entrees and dessert. The fresh juices are made to order and affordable. They give you big food portions at decent prices compared to other Peruvian spots.

    No service animals allowed.

I was so excited to eat at this new restaurant with great reviews. Unfortunately they illegally discriminate against people with disabilities so I cannot support a business who discriminates. They have a "no service dogs allowed" sign. This means people with visual disabilities, or medical disabilities do not have access. Hopefully they change their policy and I wish them the best of luck. Downtown Antioch needs unique places like this.

I just want to say im so glad this place opened up in Antioch with authentic Peruvian treats!!! Tried the Pan con Chicharrón and it was so delicious. This sandwich is hard to find and im so excited they have it on their menu. Tasted just as if I was having one in Peru. Highly recommend and can't wait to try all of the sandwiches on their menu. Also got lucky and they had picarones on the menu today again another hard item to find. They did say they have it on occasions so this unfortunately isn't on the menu regularly but very glad I got lucky today with these. Definitely coming back and recommending it. Friendly staff and parking was readily available. Inside was cozy and lots of tables available. Note at this time only accepting cash. Venmo of Zelle

I believe when we entered, we were greeted by the owner and quickly opened the door for us :) Our local fyp girl told me about this place (he requested no TikToks/advertisement of some sort ) but I'm happy she was able to tell us via word of mouth!! My daughter got a chocolate milkshake for $5 and she loved it. Comes in a regular size boba cup as well. And my affagato was strong and one scoop for $3! I really loved this cute little spot as well as how nice and sweet the owner was. Very simple shop with popular flavors of ice cream and coffee! Clean, tables, and enough space for everyone to hang while waiting! (Bathroom inside also!) I also thought how sweet it was to "pay it forward" $3 was on the menu-- it's a beautiful way to remind the community there is still kindness in the world and to share it (privately). He definitely keeps his word because he was so joyful explaining to my daughter how he loves the idea and how 5 people alone today chose to pay it forward! So thank you Eric for paying forward to us. Hoping the next family enjoys a treat from us as well. Will definitely share this spot for something on the go.
