I came here for brunch yesterday and me and my friend had a great time. He told me about this…read moreplace, and I had no idea this existed in the area. This Hawaiian French restaurant is something out of LA, San Francisco, or even Honolulu/Waikiki. Such a great brunch spot! The interior decor is like a ruined old-French still quarter building with the visuals of balconies just like Paris. There are even classic vintage French poster prints on the wall with an island touch of plants hanging and the music of Polynesian reggae in the background. The menu is great with lots of items to choose from as well as a wine list. We started with a mimosa carafe with 5 different juice flavors to choose from like mango, strawberry, passionfruit, orange, etc. I ordered their Loco Moco which was good but nothing out of the ordinary. I did love the way they cooked my burger patty (medium), so it had some nice char texture. My friend ordered the garlic shrimp with coconut fried rice. This tasted delicious and very authentic. It was better than some dishes I actually had in Hawaii. The French toast was regular and tasted nothing different than other's I've tried. It was toasted more than the usual to give it some crispy texture in which I loved. Overall, this bistro is phenomenal, and I will definitely take my family here for brunch next time. Their service is quick and very attentive which is important. Even though the place got packed up, the two employees frequently checked on people. I want to try more, and I'll be back soon.

The food did not disappoint. My boyfriend ordered the chicken and waffles, and the chicken was flavorful, well seasoned, and cooked perfectly. Philly Cheesesteak was so bland... seems that it wasn't seasoned at all. Instead of sliced beef with cheese it was with overcooked cube steak with shredded melted cheese. Steak was touch and bland. We also ordered a cinnamon roll... we had to ask twice since we were already done eating and we still dis not get the cinnamon roll. We asked to take it off our bill since we are already done. They just gave us the cinnamon roll on our way out and said it's on the house. Duh!!!! We tried the cinnamon roll upon reaching home.... pastry was dry... you can really taste that's it's old. Not good at all. Overall... it was our first... and Last visit. Very disappointing.

The bar room was offered and based on our experience of a live band or good music we chose of our area. Unfortunately, the service ( if there was any) was non existent . We sat there for more than 10 minutes. No one asked us a question. Came to check on us or anything. They watched us. Do you have a food return to the dining room with menus and hand and no one attempted to see what was going on There were only two other couples sitting in the room. It was almost empty. We wound up moving back to the dining area because we plan to have tea and coffee. Once we or seated in the main dining area, the service was stellar. They checked on its regularly. We got water immediately. They took our order within 3 to 5 minutes that continue to check on us throughout the meal refilled our beverages. It is regularly crowded there the beautiful world that room is covered by direct sunlight from the windows that show you the waterfront there's plenty of seating, the music is loud enough to enjoy but low enough to have conversation and enjoy your meal simply perfect I got my favorite the crab sand, which is at market price and delicious. My husband had a jumbo shrimp scrambled that comes with bacon and avocado, and it was delicious. I adore this restaurant and I really enjoy the fact that they've started covering the outdoor patio area so you don't have direct Son. How am full of live with people enjoying their meal Except to spam $50-$75 a person depending on what you choose to eat from the menu and what type of beverage you have and that only includes one beverage Your average brunch scramble or omelette runs about 30 bucks. Anything seafood will be 40 bucks plus coffee and $3.75 and refillable which I love and I can't really show you the cost of a cocktail. It's been a minute.

The coffee was cold, the service was slow, and the food was lukewarm at best. They took over 10 minutes to even get us started on drinks, then it took 30 minutes to get the food. Once I got my plate, nothing was close to warm, and tasted oily because everything was cold. They took the plate back and offered to remake it, but after how long it took, I passed. I won't be back again.

It didn't look like the food would be really good but this is taking me back to the old style original local neighborhood good eats, great service, and nice clean bathrooms!! We ate here because my partner's band had a gig on a Sunday night to play from 5-8. I was impressed when I saw that the band was eating pork chops (full dinner with garlic toast, veggies, baked potatoes with the works (we are talking bacon, cheese, sour cream, and good old butter). Veggies weren't over cooked either! I ordered liver and onions because I was very much caught up in eating food from my misspent youth. It was very good. Not overcooked and that is amazing. And the gravy was really good too. I had the baked potatoes with the works and promptly forgot my resolutions eat less carbs. (In my defense, I was left unsupervised.) You really need to try this place out!

My first two experiences were mediocre at best, the food was lack luster, uninspired, not fresh seeming. HOWEVER, they have a new chef now and it is NIGHT and DAY. If you came before and weren't wowed, give these guys another shot. The food was unbelievable, best I've had in Brentwood or the surrounding towns, hands down. The fried chicken was moist and seasoned to perfection, the mac and cheese with house smoked pulled pork, the bread pudding. Every thing they are putting out is fire. Full stop. Not to mention the beautiful grounds as the weather gets better!

The pork belly was more along the lines of shredded pork but extremely tender and juicy, the link was "ok", the corn was grilled beautifully and was delicious, the potato salad was a little bland for my liking, the deviled egg a little too salty). The strawberry salad was yummy and the added goat cheese neutralized the peppery nature of the arugula. Hubby had the fried chicken, I thought it was supposed to come with a thigh, but maybe I was wrong. I'm not a fan of fried chicken breast and think fried chicken is best served dark meat lol! That aside, the crust was on point! Flaky, crispy crunchy not too heavy and seasoned just right! The collards were tender, but I typically don't like vinegar in my greens- I know a lot ya'll do, just not a fan. They were definitely seasoned with a smoke ham hock for the win- actually the only way to do em right! (ALL my family and hubby's too originated from the south, we regularly cook soul food so we know good fried chicken!!'). Anyway, the cheese curds are good but not Wisconsin cheese curd good - although to be fair, I don't think anyone's cheese curds are like they do in Wisconsin:) The mushrooms were also delicious! Overall, it was a very pleasant experience and good food with great ambiance! Who knew such a cute place in a beautiful setting would be amongst a residential neighborhood in Brentwood! I will definitely be back! Hopefully when I do, the flourless tort will make an appearance!
