First time visiting Chrome Coffee, and I'm already looking forward to coming back! I was just visiting the area and decided to stop by. The staff member who helped me was super friendly, patient, and took the time to answer all of my questions. I had a hard time deciding what to order, but I ended up going with the Salted Honey Vanilla special--and wow, it was one of the best coffees I've had in a long time. It was creamy, perfectly balanced, and still had that rich espresso flavor that really came through. Not overly sweet, just smooth and delicious. I don't live nearby, which makes me a little sad because I'd love to come back and try more of their flavors and specialty drinks. I wish they had a location closer to San Francisco! If I'm ever back in the area, I'll definitely be stopping by again. read more

I really hate to write this review because I LOVE the drinks here, but I've noticed that almost every single time I mobile order a matcha, my order is always incorrect. I thought it was a mobile order issue, but last weekend I ordered in person and my drink was made into a coffee latte instead of matcha. And unfortunately today, I ordered a $10 matcha and got an iced latte one again that my brother didn't catch to remake because he didn't check my receipt. I really hate having to wait to get my order remade and having an extra drink that's not needed and most of the time goes to waste. All I ask is to make the drink correctly for how it was ordered because I'm sure it causes stress for the folks that are having to remake the drinks when they have other orders to also work on, as well as the customers who pay for one thing and end up with something else. read more

This is one place that changes the norm of just going to a commercial coffee shop. I've noticed this coffee shop ever since I moved to Oakley. I finally checked this out, and it didn't disappoint. The coffee shop is small, so expect the tables to fill up quickly. They have a variety of coffee specialties so I just opted for their Cookie Butter Latte. The drink is good. You can distinguish the homemade cookie butter sauce in the drink. I enjoyed this drink and it tasted different from the other major well-known coffee shops. I have to try their regular coffee next time and see the difference from the other well-known coffee shops. I have a good impression of this place. Before heading back home, my husband's family recommended to grab coffee here and chat. When entering inside, I fell in love with how spacious and aesthetically simplistic their decor and furniture color, simply pretty. Their menu is not overwhelming at all. Again, it's kept to be simple which makes things easier to order. I'm a matcha lover and ordered their regular size and added vanilla syrup to have it subtly sweet. Their matcha I can definitely tell they use high quality because you can still taste the slight bitter matcha flavor and the aroma of the matcha. Loved it so much. Really solid coffee! The Americano was chocately and it was Pillow Talk from Wrecking Ball coffee. Taylor was super nice as I was super early. Service was quick and there was plenty of plugs for anyone looking to stay lounge or work. Would definitely recommend for an elevated coffee experience this side of town. read more

This cafe gets everything right! Friendly and great customer service- (the baristas are so sweet and they smile!) The music is calm but upbeat, and it's low enough you can study and chat, but loud enough you can tap your foot, and never too loud. The AC is the perfect temp. Not an ice box like some places, I still don't have to wear a sweater inside. I can feel a cool breeze but it's very gentle and Imm so comfortable! It's clean! Bright and charming/ well decorated! One of my favorite coffee spots in Oakley!! I love the coffee here! I've tried several of their drinks on their main menu. However, my go to drink is their ice latte with oat milk and a pump of simple syrup. Occasionally, I do like to try their seasonal menu or limited-time menu. The most recent drink they had was their black sesame latte, which was also one of my favorites. Unfortunately, it's gone now, but I really hope they bring it back! Helpful staff and a cute coffee shop to visit in Oakley when you feel like making a date of it. I tried the Salted Maple Latte and it was delicious. It is a little pricey, but that's everything these days. I would rather pay a bit more for a latte and support a small biz versus Starbucks. I tried my sisters latte and it was delicious too. Can't go wrong with their seasonal drinks. Only thing I could recommend is more milk options like nonfat and 1% and smaller ice cubes/portions! The ice took up 50% of my latte. Omg! So glad I came in to try their coffee! I was in the area for work and had not had coffee yet. I came around noon on a Thursday. There were two staff and plenty of open tables. The shop is really nice, clean, and great vibes. The staff is so friendly and helpful. I asked some questions and ended up getting a banana bread latte and the good good. I got one with less ice and one decaf. Overall, a great experience. I got the banana bread latte for my husband but I honestly like it sooo much. I considered going back for another but didn't want to seem strange lol. But seriously if you are in the area, check this place out! The place is rather nice and open, a typical coffee shop. The menu was very straightforward, but the "almost summer" menu caught my attention. Lavender Haze: This was a cool and refreshing drink. It is a three shot latte (opted for oat milk) with pumps of lavender and strawberry syrup to give it a floral and sweet flavor profile. The coffee was not too strong, but still had that midafternoon kick. The large cup is plentiful and the subtle hints of lavender wafted throughout the drink. W O W Amazing coffee shop. Finally a coffee shop that has Ube in Oakley! I got a Large Ube Macchiato with Oat Milk +1 stevia packet after work. I just happened to pass by it & decided last second to get something. I ordered on their website and it was ready for pick up quickly. When I walked in, I was greeted right away, which was nice! First off, the coffee looked amazing! At first sip, it seemed pretty strong without any sweetness, BUT then I stirred the drink, which made it a deep purple, and tasted perfect! It had a nice balance of the espresso and the Ube with the right amount of sweetness. I almost wanted to sip it slow to savor the drink, but me being me, i drank it almost instantly. Chrome is one of my favorite coffee shops in my area! They're always so friendly and welcoming especially if you have any questions. I'm glad they opened up several locations near me. I've been to their Antioch, Brentwood, and their Oakley location. I'm not much of a coffee person but when I do have coffee I tend to stop by and it never disappoints. I tried their signature drink: that good good and it was my favorite not too strong and the perfect amount of sweetness. I recently tried their chai but I wasn't a fan of it. I remember when the owner used to make coffee outside her trailer at summer lake in Oakley so it's super cool to see her opening up more locations. This location in particular is really convenient for my family and I. There's not a lot of places that make matcha lattes but chrome really got this down for sure. You can tell they use good quality ceremonial matcha powder which I love so much. If you're trying to lighten up on the sugars but still want a bit of sweet in your cup of coffee, they have stevia and other sugar free syrup. The people working here are always kind and attentive. New spot here in Oakley so we had to pop in and try it. Apparently it's a small chain but I was not aware. Inside is super simple and clean. Staff greeted us right away, was kind and helpful. Menu is very straightforward and they have some small bakery items as well. I got a beautiful Ube coffee. It was on the sweet side but it hit the spot on a hot summer afternoon.
