I love coming to Abu's for some fresh baked goods. They are a Brooklyn & Fulton St staple. It's small inside but there's a lot of yummyness going on. They offer pies & cakes. The bean pie here is legendary. I like their spicy cabbage patty it's got a nice zing to it and the callaloo patty is also very good. This is one of the very few bakeries left in New York City that still bake bean pies so what're you waiting for? Come & get yourself some.

Love the courteous, welcoming and professional customer service. The pie crust on all the pies has great texture and flavor. I have had four of their flavors. I can not decide which is my favorite. I love them all. The coconut custard is filled with coconut flakes and an egg custard. The sweet potato is delicious. The pecan pie has plenty of chopped pecans and great gooey insides. The bean pie is above every other bean pie I have had in my life. You can taste the fresh ingredients, vanilla, butter, cinnamon etc. All the pies are delicious and perfect anytime if the day. They also come in different sizes. Pocket size, pocketbook size and shopping bag size. If you want to order for the holidays it is best to order in advance, they may not have the size you want. Love these pies!

Sorry to say it was just OK there was too much of something In it or maybe not enough of something else...I couldn't put my Finger on it but it wasn't bean pie that I knew back in the day. It wasn't bad but when you have a taste in your mouth for something from way back... I don't know maybe my bougie palate has surpassed my Brooklyn roots. The shop is cute the people are awesome my niece loved the pie so I guess that's all that really counts.

I tried Abu's bakery for the first time last week and I am amazed at the quality! I bought 4 mini-pies so that I could try all the flavors. This is my personal chart: 1. Bean pie: it's simply amazing. I would have never thought a bean pie could be so good. It tastes delicious, the texture is great. 2. Pecan pie: it's great! Intense nut flavor, just the right amount of sweetness 3. Coconut pie: it's good. I often crave custard pies and this one fits the bill. Not mind-blowing like the first two, but solid. 4. Sweet potato pie. This one was just ok. I'm not a pumpkin or sweet potato pie aficionado, but this didn't impress me. Anyway, 2 dollars per mini-pie is a steal. I'm so happy I live close by, so I can get those delicious bean pies on a regular basis!

Disappointed that I received an uncooked bean pie this time. I've been coming here for over a decade, every time I visit NYC and the quality has definitely gone downhill. I brought my pie back to DC had to cook it for 20 minutes to even get the top and crust brown. Then it was still mushy on the inside. Not sure if they aren't watching them or whats happening, but as the price increase I expect the quality to as well.

Cute little bakery, friendly staff and a wide variety of sweet treats. Unfortunately, the strawberry cake I purchased was a little on the dry side for my taste as I prefer moist cakes but I would probably visit and try a bean pie to see how they taste sometime in the near future.

I do a love a nice baked good. I'm happy I finally stopped into this place. First of all, this is a community staple for not just the local Muslim community, but for Bedstuy and Brooklyn as a whole. I finally decided to try a navy bean pie after all my years of life thinking "ill...beans...and pie...nah, I'm good." The adult me has to constantly remind myself to branch out and taste what this world has to offer. I am a fan and I'll probably come back every couple weeks now. I also want to rifle through some of their other options such as the banana pudding and maybe some cakes as well. The people are charming and the atmosphere is warm in here. Definitely check them out.

Sweet potato pie is the best. I'll never bake another pie. I will buy my pies for them.

The space is relatively small, with a line inside and outside and a few tables outside. The length of the line and wait time varies based on the time of day and if you go on a weekday vs weekend. Go early if you don't want them to sell out of anything or purposely go a little later if you want one of their lunch sandwiches on focaccia. I have had the tomato and garlic focaccia twice now and each time it has been exceptional. Minor critique, the slices of garlic could be a bit smaller. I also had the shakshuka focaccia which is divine and I would absolutely recommend both. I need to come back to try their sandwiches as well. I am not a sweets person, but everyone I know loves their pastries. Getting someone a gif tcard here makes for a great gift.

I'm usually more of a savory girlie but all the sweet items we tried were great, especially the rhubarb croissant and the earl grey morning bun. I really enjoyed the focaccia sandwiches (smoked salmon and pea/mint/feta were elite) and the artichoke green garlic slice. The flavor of the sesame stirato was excellent but the bread itself was a tad too chewy for the filling we got with it (tuna salad), so that style probably works better with the jambon beurre. Will definitely be on the rotation whenever I'm in the city -- would love to try some of their seasonal/limited edition items one day, though not sure if I have it in me to brave the lines that can form on the weekends, lol! We'll see :)

Radio Bakery... is perfection. I completely understand the line…read more I first ordered the heirloom tomato & feta sandwich, which was unbelievable. It is so clear that they use incredibly high-quality ingredients and carefully curate each component, which is exactly why everything comes together in such an elevated way. The tomatoes reminded me of the ones I grew in my garden during California summers as a teenager. Perfectly salted, layered over soft, not-too-tart feta. The focaccia was made with beautiful olive oil and, while a bit chewier than I usually prefer, gave the sandwich a satisfying bite. I had to close my eyes while eating it just to savor it. The chocolate cherry almond croissant... wow. Such a creative combination, and it did not disappoint. Soft, buttery, and filled with a sour cherry compote that reminded me of a cherry cordial from a box of chocolates. 5/5. Hainsley, who helped me, was exceptionally lovely. Everyone even in line was very nice, the vibes were awesome. I'll definitely be back to try the spicy tofu sandwich and the heirloom tomato tart!

While they didn't have their full selection available, there were still plenty of pastries to choose from. We ended up getting the vanilla kouign amann and the chocolate PB&J croissant. The kouign amann was flaky, buttery, and beautifully caramelized. The chocolate PB&J croissant was easily our favorite. It was filled with rich, decadent chocolate and a layer of jelly that balanced everything out without making it overly sweet. My significant other hasn't stopped talking about it since! We're already looking forward to coming back to try more.
