Of all the places I spoke with, Speedway seemed the most knowledgeable about my Jeep, their pricing was reasonable, and they were confident they could fix the problem. They did :-) Afterward the Jeep drove so smoothly. I felt safe in it again. I was so happy with that experience that I came back when I needed more work done, and I'm finally writing the review they deserve. Most recently, I was dealing with a check-engine light while trying to get my Jeep ready for its required STAR smog test. Mike and Fred didn't simply replace parts based on a diagnostic code. They took the time to determine what was actually wrong before I spent the money. They diagnosed a failed EGR valve and also discovered a cracked spark plug that was affecting how the Jeep was running. They showed me what they found and explained everything clearly so I understood why the repairs were necessary. What I appreciate most is that Mike and Fred are thorough, knowledgeable and meticulous. Their prices have been fair, and I never feel as though they are trying to sell me repairs I don't need. Instead, I feel like they genuinely care about keeping my Jeep safe and running well. It is rare to find a mechanic you can really trust, especially when you have an older vehicle that needs extra attention. I feel very well looked after at Speedway and am genuinely grateful to have found Mike and Fred. After reading glowing reviews, I called Hyperion to ask if hey could schedule the installation, expecting to wait a few days. Instead the guy on the phone said to bring it in at 10:30 the next day. I didn't get there as a tweak in the door itself caused my overhead lights to stay on and drain my battery. I arranged for a friend to take me home, expecting to leave the car for at lrast the afternoon. But manager (I did not get hois name) said it would just be a half hour. He called over a ytechnician and 20 minutes later the car was ready! I had some body damage and the manager quoted me a price apologetically, noting that Lexus Parts are super expensive. I said well, it's a 15 year old car - probably isn't even worth the cost of the repairs. I started to walk away and stopped, turned and said, "Wait, I haven't paid you!" And he said, "no charge". I was dumbfounded and only hope I thanked him emough. Great work, fast, and even complimentary. I'm in awe. Go there!

I went for an oil change and had also wanted to get the rubber seal on the door frame replaced. Mine had completely ripped and kept disconnecting from the frame. After a year of dealing with it, it became difficult to close my door without having to move the rubber aside. Instead of replacing it, the mechanic offered to tighten it/glue it and see how it holds up first. Currently, it has been holding up with no issues, but he told me to give them a call if it doesn't hold up so they can order the part. Service was pretty quick. I went on a Friday morning and it looked decently busy. I expected to wait 3-4 hours as I walked to a nearby coffee shop while I waited for my car to finish. He found a few different issues, including the throttle body, a leaking valve cover, bad spark plugs, and a dead battery. He took care of everything, replaced the air filter, did the throttle relearn, and even power washed the engine to clean off all the oil at no extra charge.
