A friend of ours recommended AC Florist to be our florist for our wedding at Sunset Ranch. At first, I was a bit nervous about using a more mom/pop operation to handle a 150 person wedding, but she did an amazing job! She exceeded my expectations with the final product and I am extremely grateful to have selected her to do our floral arrangements! We had purchased the signature package at Sunset Ranch which they introduced the best florist in HI as a vendor. Even though they were great, they were also priced at a huge premium compared to others. So we decided to look for other options. This was a destination wedding so we were so grateful that we had a friend in HI that was able to introduce us to AC Florist. Although the owner is not fluent in English, she does have others who help with planning that can help with the language barrier. I sent a floral proposal and asked for a price range and she was able to get everything done at a cost that was within our budget! In addition, the final product was better than I imagined! I was nervous at first since she didn't have many photos of weddings that she did before, but if you select AC Florist for your wedding needs, she definitely would not disappoint! My bouquet was SO beautiful and she did not skimp out on any flowers. My bridesmaids had great sized bouquets as well! My BMs also had flower crowns that looked amazing! Our triangle arch was decorated very nicely and our reception tables had long garlands that matched exactly what I had sent over as an example. Definitely a hidden GEM! Don't judge them by their cover as it is a super small shop. They really dedicate themselves to make their clients happy with their final product! AC Florist made Mother's Day magical with a bouquet that really wowed my mother. I think that the owner really felt a bond with my mother, because she made the bouquet extra special! I honestly think she gave us a much nicer and fuller bouqet than I paid for. Our budget was tight this year, but our hearts were very full with love for Mom, and I know it sounds sappy, but these flowers really expressed that love without holding back. Great service and product here! I came in here for some very last minute on a big holiday (I'm talking day of) to get some flowers AND it was a Sunday, when a lot of other florists are closed. Thankfully AC Florist was open and ready for business. I originally came in looking for some pre-arranged flowers but decided to just get some loose roses, thinking it would be too late for them to make me an arrangement. NOPE! I was wrong. The sweet shop owner was happy to oblige my request and made me a beautiful 8 rose arrange and threw in a few extra roses to make the dozen as well as other embellishments. I asked for red roses with a puppy... The staff texted me a picture of the finished product and I was speechless to see that it was 10x better than what I imagined it to be.. The colors and the details were perfect! Every single part of the arrangement was high quality! I have ordered puppy flowers from other florist but this is the best one so far! I must say, if I experience bad service, I will not hesitate to let management know. Sometimes when we get excellent service, we don't even think about letting people know. I wanted to Yelp about the awesome service we had with AC florist. Not only once, but twice. Sometime last year, I decided at the very last minute to order a haku lei for my daughter's championship game. Of course it was that night. I sent my husband to AC, since it was close to my hair salon. They didn't have any at the shop, but the owner said he will go to Chinatown to pick one up. We had to wait an hour. Awesome!!!! Couple of weeks ago, I preordered two more haku leis. One for senior soccer night and the second one was for my daughter's NLI signing day. Again, I sent my husband to pick up the haku for the signing day. I asked him if he could check to see if they had leis for her other teammates. AC had enough flowers for 4 leis but told him to check Times downstairs. He went downstairs and luckily they had 2 leis. When he went back upstairs, AC was finishing up the leis and even asked to see the Times lei. They noticed there were no ribbon, so they added it! Awesome, awesome experience! As I entered he was very attentive and offered to put together an arrangement for me. This review is a month overdue. I live on the mainland and wanted to send some flowers to my aunty who was admitted to Kaiser Hospital. After discovering that some florists required a day or two to deliver I looked on Yelp and contacted AC florist to see if they could put something together for me and deliver it the same day. I gave them my budget and asked if the arrangement could be colorful and cheerful. I was asked to send a text with the address and i also sent over a message to be included on the card. A few hours later, i received a text back with pictures of the arrangement which was really pretty - the flowers were really fresh. I went here on January 3rd in the afternoon and asked for a lei for my mom's birthday. At first, the lady said everything is sold out, but than she looked in the case and she said they have 1 more lei left and that I could have it for free! I was very surprised. I think she offered it for free because 1 of the flowers was a little wilted but I would've been totally willing to pay for it. Furthermore, even if it was free, she still took the time to take out the wilted flower and subbed it with some baby's breath and some other green leaf thing and attached a ribbon and sprayed it w/ water. She calls you like 10 times, she texts you 10 times, she sends a pic 3 days before the event, but DOES NOT LISTEN!! My favorite Auntie passed away, the Yelp reviews told me to go with this florist. AC FLORIST YOU ARE SO WONDERFULL!!!! So here's my experience dealing with this one of a kind flower shop: I wanted to send my mom flowers because she recently moved to Hawaii from California. I heard horror stories of those online delivery services so I went Yelp to find a local business I could support, as well as ensure the flowers wouldn't be crappy... I called for a quote and a Korean Lady (I'm also Korean btw) answered-- and might I add, she was so incredibly patient with me as I was a bit ambiguous with what I wanted. I knew I wanted something "beautiful and big and pretty and lovely and lots of flowers... oh maybe sunflowers??? or something... pretty! and did I say big? and nice and yeah". (Seriously, that was my description.. I am not a flower expert so... I couldn't even really name flowers and I don't really order flowers so... yeah..... ) Even with my shotty description, the lady was patient and worked with me every step of the way. She told me the delivery cost to Waipahu, and promised that the flowers would not disappoint. I was also able to add a message and send my mom's address to her via text to ensure no errors -- which was also extremely helpful since I didn't know how to pronounce my mom's street address (sounded like Dragon ball Z's kamekahamaheame thing). After telling her my budget, I gave her my card info only to have it constantly decline on her and ultimately had to call my bank to tell them that the transaction wasn't fraudulent. (Annoying, but hooray for good banks!) I think there were a total of like 5-6 calls back and forth between me and AC Florist, and the entire time, she was helpful, understanding, and a delight. She had zero frustration and was so extremely patient with me. (Most people would get annoyed or at least a bit peeved, but she was so sweet and so so so nice! Seriously though, imagine me giving you my card info, then we hang up, then the card declines, and then you have to call back, and I give you the number again and then it declines, so I give you another card and then that card declines-- and then I have to call my bank to straighten everything out, and then I have to call back and give you my card info again.. talk about tedious! Any normal person would be like EFF THAT, but the Korean lady was a saint! ) My mom received the flowers today and she was soooooo sooo happy, which makes me even happier! She said they were the best flowers she ever received and that she would send me a photo when her house wasn't so messy (and then I will upload it onto yelp~). All in all, I really can't say enough how amazing this business is. Ordering flowers is always so tricky and such a gamble, but luckily AC Florist is a business you can completely trust !!!!! I feel so lucky to have found a wonderful florist that I will always be using when I want to send flowers to my mom in Hawaii!!
