I'm just getting started with this place but I can tell already that i am hooked. They have settled in to a tiny little triangle of a space near B-E Highway and they are absolutely making the most of it. There's a long, low counter with stools, a short, low counter with stools, and a few plastic and pressboard booths. The cashier is shoved in the front corner with the Jarritos, and the menu is gigantic on the wall past the kitchen pass-through. There are enchiladas, tortas, burritos, a frillion tacos, a bunch of sandwiches, and a few other things. That tacos are most of what you need to know about at this point, though those pollo enchiladas were pretty damn awesome too. You might get a real crockery plate, or maybe a plastic basket, or maybe a throwaway picnic plate. You'll definitely get plastic cutlery. The food is great whether you get it to go or to dine in. Everywhere you look--and I mean EVERYWHERE--there is futbol-related art. ESPN Deportes are blaring futbol highlights from the little tv in the corner, Fernando Messi stands guard over the recycle bin and garbage bin, and there are framed jerseys, trading cards, stadium glamor shots, team photos, and every other flat thing you can think to frame and mount on the wall that has anything to do with futbol. There's even an Aca las Tortas jersey near the front. Didn't look to see where the team was from. Not just Mexican or Latin American teams, either, though most of the pictured players are clearly Spanish speakers. There are teams and stadia from all over Europe on display as wlel. The staff here all have heavy accents, and the connection to the old country seems strong in every way. The food is awesome, the prices are super low, and I imagine I will be back an awful lot. read more

My little brother was about to cross the boarder to play a show in Tijuana (I didn't even know bands toured there), so of course this inspired me to stop by here for some lunch. My boyfriend got the Argentina (breaded steak with pineapple) and I got the Monterrey (carne asada steak with caramelized onions) we ordered them to-go but they ended up bringing them over to us as dine-in. Instead of reminding them we wanted it to-go we just sat down to eat quickly. The tortas were ok... this was a first for both of us and we both agreed these sandwiches packed the flavor we came to expect. They were tasty and very filling but nothing I would go out of my way for. We were the only ones in there the entire time (around 3pm on a Saturday). The waitstaff was friendly and made us feel welcome. We may come back here. I wish they offered a chicken torta, but all I saw was turkey breast. I think next time I would order a burrito- I like the flavor of a tortilla over the bread for this type of cuisine. The tortas here are tasty, however a little high on price. I ordered my husband one from here the other day, and it was supposed to have pineapple on it, however they forgot to put the pineapple on. It was still good without it, but would have been better with. With tax, you're looking at about $8. If you're looking for a really good, knock your socks off torta, I'd say go to Julio's in downtown Bothell and order the Cubano Torta (it's also a couple bucks cheaper). However I do like that Aca las Tortas specialty is tortas, so they have a pretty large menu to chose from, and they are definitely worth a try, especially the sandwiches that have Milanese style beef; super tender and delicious! read more

We've been here once before but only to order my son a takeout burrito while we ended up with takeout from the Indian place next door. The menu looked really authentic and my husband and I have been eager to come back and try the food for ourselves, despite the lack of vegetarian options. We do eat fish and they carry a tuna torta, as well as shrimp and veggie burritos. Good enough. We were expecting to order at the counter and then sit-down. Turns out order at the counter is for take-out only. Seating is very tight here. Only a couple of tables that can seat four. Most tables were two only. We had to take two two-person tables next to each other. It would have worked but nobody ever showed up to take our order. My husband went up to the counter to ask about it and was again told that somebody would come to take our order. We hadn't even been handed menus, but fortunately the entire menu is on the wall. After 10 more minutes of waiting (we probably waited a total of 20-30 minutes), we gave up and went to the pho place next door. It's too bad. Our area is over-abundant in great Asian food to the point that any change would be welcome. We are really desperate to find decent Mexican. If you want to try it, go for take-out. read more

Sometimes you text the family asking what to pick up for dinner and someone says "tacos" and you know what one kid means the Bell but the other is begging for street tacos and luckily they are right across the street from each other. I'm with kid #2 and I sometimes forget about Aca Las Tortas and it's a shame I do. Super flavorful, wide variety to pick from and that's just the tacos (the birria isn't my favorite, bit on the dry side).The Tortas are big and flavorful, and I still have 80% of the menu to explore. It's like a taco truck in a strip mall - indoor and outdoor seating; crowded at lunch. Ordering online is super easy and pickup is pretty fast;okay but as fast as the Bell, but in all seriousness are those really tacos that they serve? Service is always friendly and with great humor. The chicken burrito is not bad either. Chicken taco was weirdly grounded up and a dark brown color. Fish taco was meh, and much pricier than the rest ($2.75 vs $1.65). Best torta I have had. I have tried the carnitas torta and the lomo torta so far. I haven't been disappointed thus far. Also the the tacos de lengua and consomé were very good. The meat seemed very fresh and cooked to perfection.The Consomé tasted home cooked. I have never craved tortas but since coming here I can't stop craving them! Definitely will be back. read more

Good tortas, and even better tacos! Tortas is a small space in a strip mall, with a soccer theme. Soccer games are on TV, the walls are filled with soccer pics, and many of the tortas are named after famous soccer players. Tried the Monterey Torta, which had carne asada, cheese and condiments. The torta was a little light on meat, but the bread was very soft and nicely toasted, and there was more cheese than in other variations I have had in Seattle. For $2 more, you get a soda and some fries, which makes for a nice meal. However, the tacos were even better though and reminded me of the taquerias in the Bay Area. The asada was solid, but the spicy pork was my fave, as it was very flavorful. The tacos were under $2 so 3 or 4 makes a nice lunch. The place gets crowded during lunch, but service is fast. Located right off of 405 in Bothell, WA, this is mexican restaurant has a great local feel to it. When you enter, the station to order is immediately on the right hand side; however, you have to walk around the corner to the "dining section" to see the menu. This can be a little confusing, but is only a minor inconvenience for the greatness about to come. The staff is beyond friendly and treats you like friends. They have a great caring attitude and really appear to want to serve their guests. Prices are a little bit higher compared to similar food choices (just under $7.00 for a chicken quessedia); however, this is freshly made, high quality ingredients and large in size. I dont see why anyone would EVER go to Taco Bell when this great option is available. They are known for their Tortas though, which I did not try. They also have a punch card available, so if you frequent here, it can help reduce the cost of the meals. My only issue, which is really more of a personal preference, is the entree was very juicy with overflow of sauces. This place is really good. Very authentic. They actually have legitimate spicy salsa. We order from here all the time.

Pretty chilly waiting outside. Tacos are 1.25 each. I got beef. Cow tongue, chorizo, and BBQ pork. This truck looks like any other taco truck. Nothing special about it. They have a deal for 3 tacos and rice and beans with a soda is only $6.00. I really like how they add in the carrots, and the radishes and a slice of lemon. That was a big plus for the tacos. I wouldn't get the beef tacos in the future cause all the other meat they use seems to be better. The wait time was a little longer than I expected but that was probably due to the cold weather waiting. I could see my breath, and I was thinking, when am I going to get the food. There is Mexican Coke (sugar coke not high fructose corn syrup) here. That's always a plus. I like how they had some variety on the menu for other mexican food. Mystified by the rave reviews - the lunch special (3 beef tacos, $5.99) came as 3 soft white corn tortillas filled with bland beef and a little cilantro and onion, with some lime wedges, and some admittedly tasty garbanzo bean soup. Thats it. No sauce, salsa, sourcream, nothin. Was just devastated by high expectations. If it hadnt been for the Tapatio this would have been close to inedible, taste wise. Boring. Been here a couple times for lunch now. Very tasty food at a good price. Sort of a Mexican/Brazilian mix. It's a bit of a hole in the wall and not much for atmosphere unless you are a latin soccer fan, but the food is good. Had a torta one time and the taco special with a variety of meats, all good. THIS PLACE IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST!!!!!! I went into get a torta and ordered the Brasalena. The incompetent cashier by the name of Zulma ordered me a Barcelona instead. I notified her literally within one minute of placing my order and she responded by telling me that she thought my order had already been made. She then went into the back for about 5 minutes and came out with the wrong food and handed it to me. I told her I didn't want it and wanted what I had ordered but she refused to fix her mistake and make the right food continuing to tell me there was nothing she could do because the food had already been made!!! Her mistake, and yet I had to pay for it and just suck it up for some reason!! She continued to tell me there was nothing she could do because the food had already been made and when I told her I knew that was a lie because I watched her go into the back and watched thru the door window and the blind as they made the wrong food for me, she just walked away without saying anything more. I called a few days later to speak to the owner or manager about this incident and Zulma answered the phone. It was 11:39am and she wouldn't let me speak to the owner claiming he had already left for the day. When I asked to speak to the manager, she told me they didn't have one. Our conversation continued on for a few more minutes about the wrong food order and why she wouldn't fix it for me and she lied to me again by asking for my personal information so she could give it to the manager; you know, the manager she just told me they didn't have!!! Zulma is an out and out liar!!!! If you cant trust her, then you cant trust anything about this place!!! Go look at other yelp reviews about this restaurant, Zulma has given this place 5 stars so I guess the employees are now reviewing their own place of business to try and make it look better than it really is!!! I ordered a bunch of takeout the other day. They charged me for everything I ordered and sent me off with half of it. On top of that, 3 of the 4 orders were extremely spicy. The in restaurant and online menu mentioned nothing of any of these dishes being even mildly spicy. No warning. You think something simple like chicken tacos would be ok to order for your 5 year old. I don't normally give two stars to establishments except when the food or service is terrible. The food was pretty good. The steak was tough, but the sauces were tasty. The service was abysmal. This is definitely a "no frill" restaurant. The menu is on the wall with some outdated prices. The food is delivered on a plastic plate or basket with paper liner. Your cutlery is plastic which makes cutting your tough meat interesting. The service was terrible. It took probably ten minutes for my waitress to acknowledge my existence and me flagging her down a couple of minutes later to place the order. This place is small, I don't understand the delay. I asked for the enchiladas and asked if I could get two of them with chicken, two with steak. She said ok. I was charged an additional $1 for that even though the steak and chicken cost was the same. She never indicated that there would be an additional charge for that. She never checked on me once I received my food. From the time that it was obvious that I was done until I got the check due to me flagging her down was twenty minutes. I had to flag her down again with the payment. I bet if I walked out without payment, she would've been right on me though. It's a shame that one of the few places that is less expensive in this expensive area proved to be worth the cheaper price. Never again will I go there. read more

We ordered dinner using uber eats. Unfortunately, neither the menu on uber eats or on their website has a description of the plates. We ordered 4 different kinds of tacos, nachos and a burrito. Steak tacos - good, but they did not have cilantro and onions (we expected they would) BBQ pork- these were disgusting. They were so "pulled" it was like mush. No one was able to eat them. Crispy ground beef tacos - they had what appeared to be chunks of fat in them, could have been potatoes? The appearance of the meat was too much to look past. Fish tacos - Interesting, but not bad. A piece of white fried fish with lettuce, tomato and mozzarella. Never had mozzarella on a fish taco. Nachos - generous size. Covered in sour cream, but no cheese. It was just ok. Veggie burrito - rice, steamed veggies, sour cream, cilantro and onions. The steamed veggies consisted of green beans, yellow carrots, broccoli and mushrooms. Definitely not expected and the menus brief description only had rice, beans, cheese and sour cream. Unfortunately, we were not a big fan of this place and will not be returning. read more

I come here for lunch from time to time as it's one of the better spots near my workplace. Granted, it's not necessarily great quality, but nothing in the area is really spectacular so you have to lower your expectations if you're looking for someplace to eat along Bothell-Everett Hwy. I like the divey atmosphere and the soccer theme they have going on, but to be honest the food is quite pricey for passable quality. Apparently, the owner doesn't like new business. I got a google offer for this place, and after a night of drinking we thought a breakfast burrito was in order. We drove up from Kirkland and both ordered the chorizo and egg breakfast burritos and a side of beans and rice, they food was fine, but nothing extraordinary. The fact that we were the only white people was encouraging, and honestly, the rice was tasty. BUT, I will never come here again. I presented my google deal on my phone, the guy seemed confused, and said that I had to have the printed out deal. I told him that in fact, I don't, I am able to show it on my mobile phone(which I have done dozens of times with no problem). If they don't have a way of scanning it, they can just write down the deal #, they have all the information themselves, and that is all google needs anyways. So he said sure, we ordered our food, paid for our food, ate our food, and as we were leaving the guy came running after us and informed us that the owner said no, I have to have the printed out voucher. So after ordering, paying, and eating my food, I had to pay another $8(which I had already paid through google). I'm sorry, but that is just bad customer service, and I will not be returning here, and I will be getting a refund from google offers. I paid for that offer, and she has gotten her money for that google offer. If you don't plan on honoring the deals, you shouldn't use the service in the first place. read more

I was very excited to try Aca las Tortas because a co-worker was raving about all day so after looking up the pics I was pumped to try it. I ordered shredded beef flautas and an order of chips and salsa. My roommate had a barbacoa burrito. The flautas come as an order of 3 which is very large. They come with shredded lettuce, crema and tomatoes on top along with a spicy salsa verde. Overall I found them to by very salty. All of the food was overly salty for my tastes. The salsa for the chips and salsa was a salsa verde which was good but too much cilantro. I would order from Aca las Tortas again because the menu was large and I would like to try other items but overall I cannot say I am overly impressed. I am a huge fan of this place. The restaurant has gone through a number of updates as they continue to grow and be successful. The addition of some booths is very welcome! Restaurant has a soccer theme, and soccer can be found playing on flat panel TV,s albeit en Espanol. The food. The tortas are amazing. Mexico city style sandwiches. Served on bread baked special for the restaurant. The small kitchen serves up great eats. If you get tacos they are the smaller variety, just like you would get off a taco truck. The options for meat are near endless including a hardboiled egg, cactus, tongue, tripe, and crispy pig skin. The tostadas are also excellent. They have another dish that I could best describe as fajitas meets a Philly cheese steak. Grilled bits of marinated beef are covered in melted cheese, onions and peppers; you eat it with tortillas. The sauces are great, as is the large bowl of pickled carrots, jalapenos, and radish. Portions are huge, prices are reasonable, you cannot go wrong. This is a very authentic place to eat; if you're more of a fan of Tex-Mex style like at Azteca, this may not be a place you'll like. Also, the staff is wonderful. Sometimes, you just want street tacos smothered in salsa. Aca las Tortas fits the bill. I ordered what I consider to be the benchmark for any Mexican restaurant--carne asada street tacos. The tacos here were pretty damn good. The meat had a nice mix of charred bits and meaty chunks of beef. I dress my tacos modestly--cilantro, onions, and a fat squirt of whatever salsa is available. Both their red and green salsas were good. I'm a huge chile head and wish both sauces were spicier, but I know that is one wish I am unlikely to have granted. Holy mole! Or rather, holy squeeze-bottle salsa-liciousness!! This was the best post-backpacking pit stop EVER! They were even kind enough to pretend not to notice our aroma. We got a combo of veggie and meat options and everything was delicious, especially slathered in homemade salsas (LOVE the squeeze-bottles for drowning each bit of a burrito/torta/huarache/taco in slightly spicy goodness). Plenty of options for everyone and the prices were right. Service was fast and friendly, and what's not to like about old-school telenovelas, orange walls, and a soccer theme?! I will now be looking for excuses to get out to Bothell. Seriously, it's closer than California, and I haven't had anything this good since I moved away from the SF Bay. YUMMY! read more

As a native San Diegan I am always looking for a good hole in the wall type taco stand. This place semi fits the bill for me. Thier tacos are fantastic and cheap. The basic street taco with 2 small corn tortillas, meat, cilantro and onions. Yummy! There are other more exotic varieties of mexican fare and I have gone back a couple of times to try them but can't resist getting a variety of tacos instead. My companion got a torta and it looked delicious and was huge. This is the their signature dish and there is a huge selction to choose from. They have a variety of fun drinks including coke in a bottle and some mexican fruit drinks. the prices are reasonable and the food is yummy BUT they seriously have some customer serivce issues to work out. The first and most frustrating thing is the chaos at the counter. It is very unclear where to order and when to pay. The restaurant layout forces patrons to walk around the corner to find the menu and then come back around to order. There is also a ton of confusion about whether you pay when you order or when you pick up and since the line to order gets very long I would suggest that they finish the transaction when you order rather than having to deal with each customer 2 times. Today I waited nearly 30min for 3 tacos which is pretty bad. The staff is friendly though and the interior is colorful and tidy. I am SO happy to have found this place so close to work and am excited to have my family try it out. ______________________________ They seem to have worked out a few of the kinks (pay when you order, etc) and the menu is evolving.
