The location was great. It has entrance to the beach right off the property. The property area was clean and accessible all around. The pool was clean and well maintained. Rooms were bigger than we had thought. Overall it was clean and setup nicely. Ample Bathroom and Kitchen supplies were provided, something that we were not expecting. Parking was right under neath the building, and conveniently accessible as well. Outside the room there are 2 separate areas with BBQ machines and picnic table. This was a nice touch especially for party traveling with families. Bathroom needs remodeling. Cleanliness was ok, but definitely can be improved. The furnitures (most of them) is due for an upgrade as the beds and sofa in our room was not sturdy. Overall a good stay.

Great updated rooms. Clean Great views! New sofa beds, flooring & mattresses! Definitely an incredible place!

My last time at the Acacia is the last time at the Acacia. I wouldn't be sending this here, but when they asked for responses on Facebook, they took this post down. 1. Entirely too small parking spaces. My wife hurt herself loading things into the car because she could barely open the doors to hang clothes. 2. Rooms very poorly maintained. Housekeeping isn't reporting to Maintenance things that need to be fixed like outlets not working, appliances that are broken. Kitchen utensil and cookware understocked. Light bulbs out. Plugs without electricity because the breaker was off. 3. Bedding seemed to be from a flea market, or garage sale. They used to have bedspreads here. Now it's army surplus blankets, and the beds aren't even made. I wonder if they are following any Covid 19 Prevention protocol at all. THIS ALONE WOULD STOP ME FROM EVER COMING BACK HERE. The first morning they made up the room they didn't make the beds. They pulled up the sheets and blankets, but didn't tuck them in, and just plopped the pillows back on the bed. For the price we paid, this is far and away totally unacceptable anywhere. I usually leave $10 a night, but due to their lack of interest in doing their job, we only left $5 for each night... which to me is pathetic, and I was questioning myself about leaving anything. TIPS = To Insure Professional Service. Total fail here. 4. The bathroom was a joke. The bathroom sink stopper was missing, so we couldn't plug the drain while shaving, or if something fell in there it'd be gone down the drain. The outlet in the bathroom was not working. At first, I thought the nightlight just needed a new bulb. Towels weren't replaced, just depleted. 5. The refrigerator worked but just barely. The control for the freezer was broken and spun like it wasn't connected. When we got to the room, the refrigerator temperature was so high, I wasn't sure it was cooling at all. They don't have ice cube trays either, so you must buy ice from the front desk. 6. We called for an early check in the day before and were told to ask on the day we were coming. No problem, we called on the way down about 1pm while on the road and were read the standard response that they can't guarantee it but would certainly allow us to park and use the facilities. After this experience, I think that management is afraid of housekeeping, and they didn't want to push them to take a step out of their routine to accommodate a border coming in an hour earlier to an empty room. 7. The last night we were there, some of the guests decided to ignore the 'quiet time' and were out on the deck babbling and cackling until 3 a.m. I'd have called management, but by then I was sure, no one would have responded. 8. no phones??? - so we couldn't even call in a pizza if we wanted. Their site says there are phones in the room, which haven't been there in years. 9. btw, the dude on the other end of the phone at Mack's was a D**k!

A special thank you to Bonnie, the owner, who truly went above and beyond to help us book our stay and make sure we got the exact room we wanted. Her kindness, responsiveness, and genuine care for her guests make all the difference and set the tone for a wonderful vacation. The hotel and our room were spotless. One thing that really stands out is how dedicated the staff is to keeping the property clean. Throughout our entire stay, we constantly saw people cleaning and maintaining the grounds, and it definitely shows. Everything is exceptionally well cared for. The pool is fantastic! It is clean, inviting, and a great place to relax after spending time at the beach. We also loved having the option to barbecue, which made family dinners easy and enjoyable. The location couldn't be better. It's right next to Centennial Park, and the beach is literally just a few steps away. Being able to walk everywhere made our vacation even more relaxing and convenient. From the outstanding hospitality to the immaculate property and unbeatable location, Armada by the Sea continues to impress us year after year. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, welcoming, family-friendly place to stay. One small tip for moms of toddlers...don't forget to bring some safety items for the hotel room. For example, outlet covers and covers for the stove handles. Thank you, Bonnie and the entire team, for another memorable family vacation. We are already looking forward to seeing you again next year!

We booked a room at Icona Diamond Beach at literally the 11th hour (3:00 PM on a Friday for that…read moreevening). We decided on a whim to spend the night in Cape May (we were already in Atlantic City), and we managed to score a discounted room through Hotelstonight.com. Our room was bright and seemingly recently renovated. I love the suite effect (bedroom and bathroom away from the sitting area). They have a nice outdoor bar on the beach, but due to the insane wind, it was closed. Tropical Storm Debby was working her whorish way up the coast of New Jersey that weekend. We left the property for dinner, but we regretted it upon our return. The hotel restaurant (Coastal Blue) is beautiful! We enjoyed a night cap at the restaurant bar while we learned a bit about the history of the hotel from the bartenders. Check-out is at 10:00 AM. And they MEAN 10:00 AM. We were getting ourselves ready to go and at 10:00 AM on the dot, housekeeping walked in. We heard them before we saw them, and we said, "We need a minute". It was a little off-putting. We even had the "do not disturb" sign on the door. We did not hear a knock. At any rate, don't expect to linger for even a minute. We were worried they would charge us for the extra 10 minutes (they didn't). I can't help but wonder if it would have been a different scenario if we booked our stay through Icona directly. Hmmm... At any rate, clean hotel with good amenities and shuttle service for local jaunts.

I think they hire are international people, none of them speak English or understand English. They don't want help their customers. They make you feel like you're inconveniencing them. We had a wedding here, not too sure I would recommend. The Bri is the wedding planner for the hotel. Good luck dealing with her. She is not ever nice. All the rooms are the same expect some have two entrances to the bathroom. It's really too bad because this place could be great if they just hire better workers. Phi is in charger food I think. It was greatest to deal with. He was super nice, very friendly, and fixed any problem you have.

    Madison Resorts

    (35 reviews)

Overall, I had a great stay at Madison Resort and would definitely plan on coming back…read more One thing the website could do a much better job of explaining is that the resort is split between two buildings with one building in between them. At first, I thought this would be confusing, but it actually worked out well. Both buildings have their own pool, and guests are free to use either one. The pool areas were one of the highlights. The water is heated, although not overly warm, and the lounge chairs are surprisingly comfortable. I also liked that you could easily move the chairs around to sit together with your group. The pools provide towels, which is one less thing to pack every morning, and they usually had good music playing that gave the whole place a fun vacation vibe. I booked a suite with a kitchenette, and that ended up being one of my favorite parts of the trip. It gave us the best of both worlds. We could enjoy a Jersey Shore vacation while still bringing food that we knew our kids would eat. It also saved money and cut down on waiting in long restaurant lines every day. Another little thing that made a big difference was that they had plenty of luggage carts available. It made unloading the car and getting everything up to the room much easier than at a lot of beach hotels. If you decide to eat on-site, Vinyl has excellent breakfast sandwiches. I didn't try enough of the menu to recommend much else, but the breakfast I had was really good. The shuttle van was another standout feature. It completely changed the experience for us because we could explore Wildwood and even head into Cape May without constantly worrying about parking, time limits, or paying parking fees. The housekeeping staff was also great. They were friendly and easy to talk to, and we were able to coordinate simple service during our stay, mainly fresh towels and trash removal, without needing a full room cleaning every day. There were a few areas that could use improvement. The Wi-Fi wasn't just slow, it barely worked during our stay. The water pressure in the shower was very weak, and I couldn't wait to get home to my own shower. The paper products also felt pretty inexpensive for a resort at this price point. The parking spaces are also extremely tight, to the point where some guests were taking up two spots just to avoid getting their doors dinged. One thing worth mentioning for families is that the resort isn't specifically designed around kids. If you're looking for organized activities, this isn't that kind of place. We've stayed at ICONA before, where they have staff running kids' activities throughout the day. Madison doesn't offer anything like that. On the other hand, my kids mostly just wanted a nice pool, and this delivered. Plus, it's located right next to a large park with a huge playground and splash pad, so there was still plenty for them to do. The marketing makes the resort seem geared mostly toward girls' weekends and adult getaways, but don't let that fool you. We stayed with kids and found it to be very family-friendly. My overall takeaway is this: if you're looking for a traditional, quieter family beach vacation, I'd probably lean toward Ocean City. If you're okay with a livelier atmosphere and want to be in the middle of Wildwood's energy, Madison Resort is a great choice. It's not the most luxurious resort on the Jersey Shore, but enough has been renovated and updated that it feels like one of the nicer places in the area. If you're looking for peace and quiet, this probably isn't it. But if you want a fun beach vacation with good pools, convenient amenities, and a great location, it's an easy place to recommend.

Disappointing stay despite high-end price The silky-sand…read morebeach, free lounge chairs and umbrellas, and beachside food service were the best parts of our stay. Our two-room suite was quiet, and the restaurant staff were pleasant. Unfortunately, the bathroom looked grungy with a rusted toilet paper holder and poor cleaning, and the bed was uncomfortable. Both the bedroom and bathroom were tiny, and I kept hitting my leg on the bed frame when walking around. We were handed one vague sheet of information at check-in, and when my husband went back for clarification, the front desk still couldn't clearly explain the amenities. Most of the staff were unable to answer basic questions. The towel attendant stayed on her phone, and the manager seemed "put off" when asked anything. For a hotel on the high end of pricing in the area, I expected comfort and at least a touch of "luxury." Required valet parking added to the inconvenience. I would not stay here again.
