We didn't stay at the hotel but we ate at the restaurant inside the hotel on the first floor. The food service was good. Our waitress was nice she took a picture for us when our food came.

[741] We decided to try a new Wildwood Crest Hotel this year. Stayed here for a week in July. Right off the boardwalk and across from the ocean. We picked the Ocean view/pool side as it has an unobstructed view of the ocean. It's on the side of the building so not a direct view but that's ok. There is a small patio which fits two chairs and a small table. One parking space per family unless you reserve a larger room. We decided on the D room floor plan as it has a separate sleeping room (well it's separated by a accordion door). Our room was on the smaller size as one of the beds were sideways and not directly next to each other. Plenty of dresser space. Bathroom was small so only one person at a time. The kitchen has a full side fridge, electric top and microwave which worked for us. The building has a restaurant which was always packed. It has a laundry room. The pool was large and nice. We really enjoyed the pool. There were a few outdoor spaces which was great as we sat outside and played cards. Plenty of luggage carts to borrow. The two elevators were slow and HOT. We took the stairs many times. Air Conditioner worked in our room, but it struggled. We had it at 61 degrees and it felt like 75 which was comfortable. We really liked this location and will be back.

Pros: Location, right on the beach. Private balconies. Restaurant on site. Large rooms with full kitchen. Top sundeck. Cons: Extremely slow elevators. Top sundeck furniture is ripped to shreds. Parking garage is very tight. Restaurant is overpriced. Staff wasn't very friendly. Room smelled musty. Tub did not drain when taking a shower. Bathroom light was not working properly. Most of tv stations were full of static and no sound.

    Thick dust on bathroom baseboards

We have stayed at the Adventurer multiple time in the past 18 years. It's inexpensive and a hop skip and jump to the beach. However, we noticed that it is not the cleanest place to stay. Our most recent stays we were upset with how unkept the room was. There is a very musty smell throughout the rooms. The bathroom was a disgrace. The toilet needed a very deep cleaning. The ring inside the toilet was unacceptable. The baseboards had a thick coating of dust. And there was black mold on the shower wall. We did our best to clean the room with the supples we brought with us. We actually left the room in better condition than we found it. The front desk staff is top notch. If I could give them a side rating it would be 4.5 stars. Super friendly! Hope they retrain the housekeeping on the benefit of a clean room.

Yummy salt water taffy at check in.

Really 3.5. Amazing location. We had an oceanfront suite room with fabulous ocean views, from sunrise through moon rise. You cannot beat the off-season price for this room. Could sleep 6 if necessary. Check in was smooth with a delicious bowl of salt water taffy right there to welcome you down the shore. Hallways very well done with ceramic tile and Wildwood themed photos. Right next to entranceway to boardwalk. Decent little pool and sunny exposure into late afternoon. Sundeck above too. Some parts of room updated. Older coach and chair need to be replaced when they can. Bedspreads old. Kitchenette fine and we like having one. These are the fatigued aspects, but not terrible. We did not eat in restaurant but looked clean and nice. But nothing like that oceanfront balcony. We would return off season for the value and the location. We would try summer too if we could get a price point for us. Right on a gigantic and gorgeous Crest beach.

This hotel is a convenient place at the tip of the boardwalk and could use a little help. I don't dislike it fully but I probably will not stay again, but I'm bougie when it comes to my hotel room. House cleaning definitely has to be better. They need to care about this hotel. It has a lot of potential. Pros: Nice pool Great view Affordable Friendly staff Plenty parking Nice sized room with mini stove full fridge double room. Cons: Dated hotel Room semi dirty Dirty Linen Elevators tough to get to your floor with so many people.

Nice glassed in area poolside that has TV's

Stay: midweek, early May. I consider myself exceptionally lucky to have seen their FB $50/night special. I stayed three nights. I had an incredible first night's sleep and awoke and went to breakfast in their wonderful restaurant. My server was Christine from Romania and not only was she very nice but she's a very good server. Everyone at the front desk has been wonderful. Shout out to Mary D. Who went above and beyond acquainting me with what this part of Wildwood Crest has to offer. Two friends of mine stayed there the second week of June and had an equally pleasant stay. I usually stay further up in the Crest at a friend's motel but as they are not open preseason this will be my new place to go in April and May, Especially if they run another Facebook special.

The hotel is well maintained and has great views of the beach. The room was clean and slightly dated but it's more about the shore and being out than staying inside :) I think all rooms have a balcony which allows you to enjoy the area even more when you are in the room. Heated pool with plenty of lounge chairs with another sun deck up some stairs. There is also a nice covered area to sit and relax if you want to get away from the sun. The hotel is at the very beginning of the boardwalk. You get the best of both worlds at this location, close to the fun but far enough away to just soak in the beach life.

View from room- shame on the neighboring establishment to let it get this way

Pros: Location, staff, room was clean. Restaurant on site is quick & food decent. Pool is nice as well as upper decks. Cons: needs updating, ac struggled to work, balcony is small, view was good as long as you ignored the garbage on the street across the way, which is not hotel's fault, parking is ridiculous spots too small, needs to be reconfigured. Elevator way too slow easier to use stairs. I'd go again if updates are made

Been staying here for a few years now, wouldn't think of staying anywhere else. Supper clean, super nice staff, very nice rooms, underground and out door privet Parking. Can't beat the location less than 100ft from the start of the board walk and. Even closer to the beach. Don't hesitate about this place just book the room and you'll be thankful you did. Can't wait to come Back next year.

there are not enough stars to give ! we stayed this summer never thought twice about one elevator being down . after all waking is good for you so we didn't mind taking the stairs . And came home to this nice surprise today in the mail . Well done Adventurer well done !

I wiped the bedroom nightstand. This is the dust on the towel. This is day one of check in.

This is a long post, but hope it helps anyone considering the Fleur…read more Our stay here in August '22 was our second year. We were so impressed with everything we just had to come back. Like everyone else has said, staff is very nice, from the front desk to the maids. Especially the latter, they even set my younger son's stuffies in different positions each day after making the beds, so it's become something he's fond of and wonders every day what they'll do next. They do come around very early -- by or before 9am when we're still making breakfast, hey we like to sleep in on vacation!! -- but I've never felt that they were put off by it, we just put the "service required" sign on the door, go to the beach, and it's always been very thoroughly cleaned by the time we come back for a late lunch. The room (type "E") was on the 3rd floor again as I had requested the year before, and they even moved us down closer to the shore end of the building as I'd requested this year! These rooms are very nice as you can see in the site pictures. But it's the things you wonder about, whether they are as good as you could hope -- double beds are super comfortable (memory foam it seems, with good support for my creaky back), AC/ventilation is great in both front and bed rooms (we keep the fan running as my wife and me are used to fans and the noise helps us and the boys get to and stay asleep). Bath is great, never had problems with water/temp/pressure, and even though it's a little cramped it's still fine. Plenty of towels! Clean! Nice hardware! They provide plenty of pans/pots/utensils for making basic stuff, but I suggest bringing your own metal grill spatula and tongs to save having to borrow one from the front desk each time (which they happily will do). Their grills are great. The cooktops in the rooms work great too, and the fridge is plenty big enough to hold everything we need for a week. They provide both keurig and drip coffee makers (including the paper filters), just bring your own coffee. Nice big LG TV screen with DirectTV, plenty of channels, but who needs TV when there's the most beautiful beach, wonderful salt water pool, bike rental just a couple blocks away, several restaurants nearby, and that fantastic boardwalk a few more blocks away. The MonsterCone ice cream truck always visits the block each night, best (and reasonably priced!) ice cream you'll find other than Kore Bros on the boardwalk. For breakfast or lunch, the Tangiers across the street is really good. The Crusader next door is also decent. I love Mexican/tex-mex, so several short blocks away is Bandanas, HIGHLY recommended. For frou-frou food, I hear Alosi's at the Pan American a couple blocks up is nice (but expensive). The Do-Wop breakfast/lunch joint is also within walking distance, not to be confused with the Do-Wop restaurant on the boardwalk (which is really good btw). So, now for the ONLY thing I've had an "issue" with when staying at the Fleur the past two years mid-August: there is a group of families who've rented out several first floor rooms, and they seem to stay at the hotel all day in the pool area, drinking and having "fun", but they just take it over. And several of them set up and play cornhole on the sidewalk right next to the parking where our car was, drinking the whole day long... I changed from second week of August last year to third week this year, and they were still there anyway.... The mid-sized pool (which includes a cool spiral water slide for the kiddo's) is so crowded throughout the day by them that my boys don't want to go in. We look longingly at the near-empty Nassau or Tangiers pool across the way and have started thinking... But none of this stuff is the Fleur's fault at all. Just timing, and you can't choose your co-guests. So are there better motels to stay for the price and quality? Maybe. I've read/heard the Aquarius is pretty nice/competitive, and the nearby Starlux is also top-rate (it's a Morey's motel after all), both of those are further up on the boardwalk stretch to boot. I love love love the Jolly Roger (I stayed right down Palm Road from it as a kid in the late 60's and always went to their movie night!). Maybe it's a better deal, and the Tenaglia's are a fantastic family-owner business, but it's further down the Crest. Not so much of a biggie since there's the Jitney Surfer shuttle to the boardwalk if you don't want to drive (and who really wants to), but it is an older property with commensurate "issues" like in-wall A/C that may not cool both rooms as well, quirky retro-deco you might not like... whatever. Bottom line, you really can't go wrong staying here. It's a great stay, and the beach location is perfect. Really hard-pressed to find a better place than this. I'm getting the feeling we might try some place else, say "Meh", and just come back to the Fleur.

We decided on a whim to spend the night in Cape May (we were already in Atlantic City), and we managed to score a discounted room through Hotelstonight.com. Our room was bright and seemingly recently renovated. I love the suite effect (bedroom and bathroom away from the sitting area). They have a nice outdoor bar on the beach, but due to the insane wind, it was closed. Tropical Storm Debby was working her whorish way up the coast of New Jersey that weekend. We left the property for dinner, but we regretted it upon our return. The hotel restaurant (Coastal Blue) is beautiful! We enjoyed a night cap at the restaurant bar while we learned a bit about the history of the hotel from the bartenders. Check-out is at 10:00 AM. And they MEAN 10:00 AM. We were getting ourselves ready to go and at 10:00 AM on the dot, housekeeping walked in. We heard them before we saw them, and we said, "We need a minute". It was a little off-putting. We even had the "do not disturb" sign on the door. We did not hear a knock. At any rate, don't expect to linger for even a minute. We were worried they would charge us for the extra 10 minutes (they didn't). I can't help but wonder if it would have been a different scenario if we booked our stay through Icona directly. Hmmm... At any rate, clean hotel with good amenities and shuttle service for local jaunts.

    Madison Resorts

    (35 reviews)

I stayed at the Madison (Ocean Tower) and definitely recommend!…read more I'll start by mentioning the three things that prevented me from giving a five star review. First, the elevator was down while we were there which wasn't a huge deal for us but since we were on the 3rd floor it made me wonder about folks with disabilities or any kind of knee or back issue. I felt this was a new resort growing pain though and hope they can get this worked out. Second, and another growing pain likely, while the pool on day 1 was heated and amazing as was the hot tub, on day 2 the heater wasn't working and there essentially was no hot tub and the pool was much cooler, though still enjoyable. The final component is more of a structural design issue that won't change but I thought I'd mention. The sink is outside of the bathroom. There is no sink in the bathroom. This means you need to exit the bathroom to wash your hands. We dealt with it but it's a bit of a design flaw. Now onto all the good! First, when I called about an early check in they said that while they couldn't guarantee that, we were welcome to come and get a parking pass and our pool passes while we wait. I think that's a wonderful alternative! It was much appreciated! Then, when we got there our room was ready! An even nicer surprise since we were about 2 hours early to check in. The place is new with new furniture and new flooring in the rooms. We had an adorable retro-looking microwave and refrigerator in our room. We even had bath robes available. The room was also stocked with really great smelling (green tea and coconut) shampoo, conditioner and bath gel. The pool area is wonderful with a cute pink and white theme. The cabanas are rentals, which we didn't do, but they certainly looked lovely. At night there are fire tables available and the deck has beautiful lighting. There is a rooftop open longe area on the 4th floor. There is also a snack stand right on the pool deck and a restaurant connected to the patio. When staying at the Madison you have access to both pools (though since we were only there a weekend we didn't venture over to spend time at the Royal Tower pool, which is the old Royal Hawaiian pool, and is still in tact with the middle island and large hot tub area). There is a small gym on site (again, talking specifically about the Ocean Tower - not sure what's at the Royal Tower in this capacity). Checked it out but didn't use it. The tower sets up chairs and umbrellas on the beach in a first come first serve capacity but again, a great service. Makes you feel elite. And lastly, something we used a lot, was the free shuttle service. The shuttle service is unique (only one other hotel in the area does this) and will take you to and from the boardwalk, local restaurants or close attractions. Tom and Jack, the two drivers we had, were super friendly and accommodating. Overall, everyone was quite friendly and we really enjoyed our stay. It was clean and comfortable. While we mostly stay in condos when down there, I would definitely stay here again! In fact, I look forward to it! #MadisonMoments

Our two-room suite was quiet, and the restaurant staff were pleasant. Unfortunately, the bathroom looked grungy with a rusted toilet paper holder and poor cleaning, and the bed was uncomfortable. Both the bedroom and bathroom were tiny, and I kept hitting my leg on the bed frame when walking around. We were handed one vague sheet of information at check-in, and when my husband went back for clarification, the front desk still couldn't clearly explain the amenities. Most of the staff were unable to answer basic questions. The towel attendant stayed on her phone, and the manager seemed "put off" when asked anything. For a hotel on the high end of pricing in the area, I expected comfort and at least a touch of "luxury." Required valet parking added to the inconvenience. I would not stay here again.

Needing only one night I tried to book something we could walk to dining. Arrived about 1:30 to see if we could check in early, we could. The front desk lady was funny and personable. She was efficient with check in/checkout rules, hotel features. All rooms are keyless. Upon entering the room has been fully updated, bright, clean but on the small side. Two pool showers, one pubic pool restroom, small designated smoking area, ice machine that actually works. WI-FI signal strong with no issues. Start of the boardwalk across the street. The pool area was awesome and kept clean. There are several chairs and three large tables with umbrellas to use. My only suggestion is some tables in between the lounge chairs to set things on. My kids loved that there were pool toys already there. Our room was newly renovated and clean. There was a small kitchen, which was fully stocked with everything you might need to cook a meal. They came and tidied up our room each day with fresh towels. Truly enjoyed staying here and would come back. Highly recommend!
