WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! My sister and I arrived with our SPECIAL NEEDS AUTISTIC children and Baby on a Thursday night for Labor Day weekend. We have been coming the past five years so we were excited to have a nice time . We were trying to put our children to bed and baby to bed at midnight after a long day on the boardwalk when there was banging on our wall 3 times scaring the children. I called down to the front desk to report the banging and they told me that we were making noise and to be quiet because the room next to us were complaining, even though the front desk never called us once to say they were complaining. I informed them that we were trying to get two special-needs children and a baby to bed and we are doing the best we can. This was all in the span of one hour. The front desk called my room twice at 1:15 and again at 1:30 am in the morning telling us the room next to us are still complaining even though I told them we are trying to get them to bed as soon as we can. I informed them that my children were going to be falling asleep within 15 minutes and they told us if they were still making noise at 1:45 am that they would call the police or make us move out sleepy baby and autistic children to a "room next to no one" at 2 am! We were so upset and crying, trying to be very quiet and she woke up my baby with a second phone call. I talked to the manager the next day, and he apologized and told us it is not protocol to call the police unless it is a life-threatening emergency . Our children were scared, and we were very upset and he promised us to "do something to compensate us for the first night experience to make things right and to contact him when we checked out. On the day we checked out Saturday I asked for the manager and he told me that we would not be compensated because we "Trashed" the room and damaged a toilet( We called maintenance about the toilet because my autistic nephew threw a toothbrush in there and they fixed it and retrieved the toothbrush and it was working when we left the room.We spent one hour cleaning the room, collected two bags of trash, washed all the dishes, put all the towels in one area , did not have Maid service because of the children are scared of people coming in the room which I didn't even have to because they have made service included in the hotel stay. I said how did I trash the room when I did all that cleaning? they said well there was wrappers on the floor and a little bit of shampoo spilled in the living room. I was so upset. I asked to speak to the manager's boss in which Josh the manager told me " The only person ahead of me is the owner and I will not be giving you their information and you cannot contact them" when I asked for the phone number. This hotel is HORRIBLE to stay at If you have children with special needs, lie about providing compensation when they are wrong and then try to blame you on checkout for a "trashed room" just to get out of promised compensation . Please do not stay here if you have children with special needs it was very traumatizing for all of us, and I will never be returning to this hotel again! read more

Very nice property with a onsite restaurant that made breakfast convenient. The rooms were small but nicely furnished and beds were great. Great proximity to the beach and boardwalk and the pool are was clean with plenty of chairs and towels. Like all jersey shore hotels the price is very high in the summer but i get it . Wanted to give it 5, but for the price its lack of amenities knocks it down. Staff friendly and helpful, rooms clean, nicely designed, comfortably furnished, great views. Restaurant has very good food if you avoid the pastas. Beach and Boardwalk access on point, free parking spot with room a must. Lacking for price: no fitness center, sauna, hot tub, room service. Free coffee and cookies - but stops at 7:30am. Should at least go until 10 for a traditional Italian brekfast sans cigarette. Understand no bar- not legal there. Pool hours way too limited- closes at 8pm, should be 2am; at least up it until 12 on weekends. I suspect other hotels not so different. Glad we saw it, but point forward sticking to OC, Maryland, or Gulf Coast Florida . Much more bang for the buck. read more

We had our family reunion this past weekend at the Pan Am and we had the best time!!! This hotel is SO clean and everyone was so nice and helpful. We never needed anything they weren't already prepared for. We had our dinner in the restaurant and that also was so good, the staff were all so nice and the food so good. For the price which is pretty much double most places in area it's not worth it.... No hot tub ... no gym... coffee not served in morning only free at night lol.... Having worked in retail, I'm not one to leave bad reviews, but I feel obligated here. The place changed owners since the last time we were here. The menu for breakfast is so limited. To get eggs bacon and home fries is a la carte. The bacon was rough like it was microwaved. We come down this week every year and while it's off season it was always busy. Today it's dead. I would actually give it 2.5 stars due to the price of $500 per night (this is with an alleged group discount and we pre-paid about a year ago). The hotel was clean, but very dated with no amenities expected of a $500 a night hotel (no gym, no room service but there is an on-site restaurant, no jacuzzi). The pool closes at 8 PM, which is quite early. There is also no coffee maker in the room but they serve coffee in the lobby from 9 PM until 7:30 AM (odd times for coffee except in the morning). They should serve coffee until at least 10 AM. Our room was not even oceanfront or an efficiency despite the price. I would have given it 5 stars if the price were $150 per night. I noticed that the price drops to appropriate levels in September. read more

A throwback hotel from the 60s. If you're looking for something modernlike a Marriott this is not it. I will give it this it was a clean place to stay throughout our entire stay, amazing location to the beach, and a clean and adequate pool. Was here (unfortunately) for only one night for a work trip. I loved this hotel from the second I called to verify information prior to arrival till I checked out. It was phenomenal. Their old school, retro decor was mirrored with customer service of days past. The most helpful, friendly, and courteous front desk staff you can imagine greeted us, guided us, and sent us on our way at the end. Although it was a late September trip, the warm weather allowed for some pool time and my mother and I thoroughly enjoyed the small bistro attached to the hotel for lunch on both days. Highly recommend and I look forward to returning someday soon. read more

We decided that this year was the year to try a new hotel for our wildwood stay. Pan American was a great choice. My daughter loved the bunk beds and that we had a balcony to see the pool. The room had a small kitchenette that we didn't get to use much however definitely something to plan for next time. The pool was heated, which was a huge plus since 2 out of the 3 days we were there it wasn't all that warm. The staff was friendly from our first interaction to our last. It isn't far from the beach or boardwalk but far enough away to avoid the hustle and bustle when ya want some quiet. We will be staying here again in the future. read more

This is the most magical place in Wildwood...we have been going for over 30 years! Clean and modern, always updating. Our children are now grown and coming back with their own children. We are treated like family! They have recently added some more seating, a front water structure and new entrance. Looks wonderful! It is like a private Oasis, steps from the beach, there is also a firepit to use and relax at night, a comfy lobby to get out of the heat for a bit, and of course Alosi's Trattoria owned by our dear friend Maggie, and her Chef husband and daughter Brianna. They just opened up an outside veranda, so you can enjoy the outdoors and sites. You will never go hungry...they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner- you are covered! Yum! My fav is the BLT but the turkey club is to die for! Hmmm burgers, milkshakes, italian ice ...lol! The front desk is the heartbeat of the establishment...from the time you call to make a reservation you are treared with kindness. Jim, the manager is always smiling and making sure your stay is perfect, Shelly and Sandy are just the best! Professional but friendly, always helpful and thorough...I have NEVER had an issue with my reservation...and when we have to leave, I'm planning my next visit before I'm even gone! We have been staying at this hotel for a few years and have generally enjoyed our stay. The rooms are dated and a little dreary as you'd expect from any Wildwood Hotel, but generally clean. However, our latest stay was a big disappointment. The staff at the front desk are short, rude and generally unpleasant. The staff at the pool are lazy and lethargic letting giant stacks of dirty pool towels tower above the rim of the basket with no clean towels available. This problem has been persistent throughout out years here, they always say their washing machines are broken. We booked the room we have always stayed in with a particular configuration for our family. Our original dates were not available in this room, so we had the staff alter the dates so we were guaranteed the room. However, when we got to the room it was incorrect. They said they were unable to do anything since the room we actually booked was currently occupied. They offered us a smaller room with a worse configuration for the second day of our trip, needless to say we didn't feel the inconvenience of switching rooms was worth it. On the next day they again called us and this time offered the correct room, but by this point we were settled in and already upset with the whole experience so we opted to deal as little with the incompetent staff as humanly possible. But don't worry they gave us "free breakfast", although when we went down to actually eat we get the bill and they say the coupon isn't valid. Always loved the Pan American. I am 50 years old and have been going to Wildwood for 50 years! Always staying in the crest, we have made the Pan Am our family beach vacation for 17 consecutive years. This summer 2020, with the pandemic, we had an awful experience at the hotel. They offered no housekeeping services, although some of our other family members staying at nearby hotels (Nassau) did. You had to leave garbage outside your room for pickup, which sat there all day. Towels and amenities were on request, left outside the door in a plastic bag. The front desk was also rude and the restaurant staff was worse! I was so shocked and upset how they really did not do anything to make accommodations and offered no concessions. So sad. After all these years it's time to move on. read more

I just went for a feed days and stayed here. Let me start with good about the hotel. It is in a great location. The room though small king ocean view was very clean and nicely decorated. The pool area was very nice and the hotel is located right on the ocean. The woman who checked us out was very nice and very helpful. The hotels has a shower and changing room for guests who check out but stay at the beach. I thought that was awesome. The only negative I have was when we checked in. The young man behind the desk was not really helpful and offered no information about the hotel. I would go back to this hotel again! read more

Our family has been coming to the Pan American Hotel every year since 1972 and we will continue to do so. They make us feel at home there. Everyone is so friendly and family oriented. Every year they put money back into the Hotel with upgrades to make it nicer every year. We know all the staff because everyone has been there between 10 & 40 years, including the manager Jim who used to work maintenance in the 70's and now he's been running it for many years. This was our 28th Summer here. Times change. It's expensive, the hotel restaurant is certainly not what it was 15 yrs ago, and the original owners are deceased. The new owners need to hear what their customers want, and they aren't listening. But, this is a part of my kids life, and we'll keep coming back til they decide on something else. We booked this hotel through Groupon and only paid $399 for 3 nights between me and my husband. When we checked in this blonde lady who was incredibly sweet helped us get set up smoothly! The staff are friendly and welcoming right from when you enter the lobby. The bistro was delicious for breakfast (haven't tried lunch or dinner), but the staff there were also just as great. The hotel is pretty clean and the deck is nice for sun bathing. I enjoyed the fact that the bike rental is pretty much just across the street and the beach is only a short walk on a bridge on the sand. Every room near the deck is ocean front then some of the side rooms have ocean front as well. The small deck you get it perfect size and clean. Everything feels new here I believe because they just renovated. I highly recommend this place and plan to stay here again when I'm in the area!! :) read more

Came here for a weekend getaway. There could not be a more perfect location! It's steps away from the beach but far enough from all the boardwalk noise (Boardwalk is still walk-able though!). The restaurant downstairs is great for brunch! I didn't get to utilize the pool but it looked big and clean. Our room had an ocean view and a balcony which made for a very relaxing trip. My only issue was that there weren't many other food options immediately nearby, you would have to go down to the boardwalk area. This is my 4th year staying here with my family and for Wildwood it is definitely 5 star! The place is very clean the rooms are newly redone and the pool is fantastic. Very close to the boardwalk and on the shore. Do yourself a favor and splurge for an Oceanview 419 or 319 in that order, you wont be disappointed. The only problem is that parking in the garage is the absolute worst, though, truth be told I always pay extra for it! Have fun!! read more

I have visited the Pan American for a weekend at the beach for two years in a row. The first year, my husband, two kids and I stayed in a regular sized room, which offered adequate space for us. This past weekend, we stayed in an efficiency suite with a queen bed, sofa bed, and kitchenette. Our room was clean and offered a nice view of the pool. I felt the premises were kept clean, even the bathrooms. The ground floor restaurant is charming, and the staff is warm and amicable. We were close to a nice playground and right on the beach--a priceless convenience. I felt the rates were reasonable. This is no Hilton, but it sure ain't no Motel 6 either... My family and I felt completely at home. If there were more cable channels and a fitness center, I swear I could live here... read more

This hotel is gorgeous and has GREAT service!!! Yesterday was the first time I went and I will definitely be going back again. The workers were beyond friendly, kind, and respectful! Also I recommend getting your food there because the food was delicious and they even offered my family and I seats by the swimming pool. Speaking of swimming pool, the pool is crystal clear and beautiful and they even had life jackets for the little ones! Although they don't have lifeguards there, they let everyone know but the pool area was gorgeous regardless of having no lifeguard. The room was also very impressive and has great views of the beach and water! Not to mention the beds were very comfortable! The hotel is also right next to the boardwalk so if you and your family want more things to do outside of the hotel the boardwalk and the beach are walking distance away! When you arrive they treat you like family, the rooms are great, clean and always updated.
