We had booked this motel for two nights but checked out after 2 hours…read more The unit was filthy (I would know because I always clean a hotel room upon checking in and my paper towel was black when I was wiping down the kitchenette) AND had a flea infestation. We were going to try to make the best of the situation but once we found fleas we left immediately. We attempted to receive a refund and since we'd gone through booking.com, they reached out on my behalf and assured me that the owner agreed to a refund but this was not the case. The owner never responded to the email confirmation booking.com sent them and did not reverse the credit card pet deposit we'd paid. I'm currently still waiting for my chargeback through my credit card company to be resolved but this owner has NOT been cooperative with the full refund. I understand not issuing a refund for other reasons but this room was uninhabitable. I feel that failure to provide a hospitable room is a breach of contract on their end and upon principle, they should be willing to refund us. I mean, we LEFT AND WENT HOME so we could immediately treat our pets for any possible infestation. AND -- since we've returned -- my one dog has been sick and I'm nearly positive she picked up some kind of virus or bug from those filthy floors. There's PLENTY OF RENTALS down the shore. You absolutely do not need to settle for this one. Save yourselves.

This is the first time that I stay and the cleanliness of this place is horrible. I had to buy swiffer and used up the whole container and it was still not completely clean. I told management and showed then how dirty the pads that i used were and I was advised to tell the housekeeper. Shouldn't that be your responsibility to tell your staff? I never saw the housekeeper and they had the nerve to put an envelope for tips. There was pet hair all over the place, it was dusty, the cushion and pillows had stain on them. I saw a small mouse near the stove and reported it.. I was told that no one else had complained but they would look into it. They should use a vacuum with a hepa filter to clean the sofa and the unit. Thank God I brought lysol wipes. I was disappointed given that I was charged over $1600 for 3 nights and in addition $60 for my 5 pound dog. I'm not sure that I would stay there again if they don't make improvements on their cleanliness

We booked two rooms, and the second bed in our room was unused until the last night and then we couldn't use it because it reeked of urine. The sheets were clean, so it was definitely the mattress that smelled terrible. On top of that, the refrigerator and microwave in one of the rooms were dirty and rusted, which was both gross and unsanitary. Overall, a very unpleasant stay--I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

You can walk to the boardwalk and hence the beaches. The price is right. The accommodations are okay if u don't mind not having the extras like coffee makers in the room but no coffee to prepare it with. Or cups, meaning glass ones instead of rinky dinky plastic ones. There was a refrigerator and a microwave which is a def plus if u want to store leftovers and chill your favorite beverages. The woman at the front office is super friendly and helpful. :) she gave us directions and good suggestions on what to see and do in the area. The room has an "old world" charm. If you like that sort of thing. If u don't then u won't like the decor. Amenities are okay. Not great. U get your basic needs met in the bathroom. Towels cups moisturizer and a rinky dinky soap bar. No shampoo. Or hairdryers here. Cons: The room is NOT soundproof. I heard people walking above us and I heard when a sink was being used as well as the sound of water while the shower was being used. And I heard these noises CLEARLY.

They have a washer and dryer on premises, barbeques for guests to use, everything is just perfect and gave us a true sense of relaxation, fun and peace. We recently lost my soul pup Vito, who had medical needs that kept us from traveling for five years, and we were so happy to secure a pup friendly room with a kitchenette to accommodate our 15 year old Pomeranian Rocco. This stay helped heal our broken hearts. The suite smelled fresh and clean, bright and airy, I cannot say enough great things, Rocco loved it too can't wait to return!

Needing only one night I tried to book something we could walk to dining. Arrived about 1:30 to see if we could check in early, we could. The front desk lady was funny and personable. She was efficient with check in/checkout rules, hotel features. All rooms are keyless. Upon entering the room has been fully updated, bright, clean but on the small side. The pool busy but the noise couldn't be heard in our room. Kitchenette had a stainless steel fridge and a four burner gas stove. Everything you need to prepare a meal. Plenty of towels in the bathroom. Air conditioner worked a little to well in our room, it was freezing. Two pool showers, one pubic pool restroom, small designated smoking area, ice machine that actually works. WI-FI signal strong with no issues. Start of the boardwalk across the street. This motel was awesome and I actually think I like it better than our normal place. Two things I'd change. The parking. Finding a spot to fit our small SUV was challenging, only three available with two having poles making them even smaller than the other. The walk to the beach.

But this year, they decided to stay somewhere else. So we decided we wanted to stay at their place again. So I had to book it. When I called the heart of Wildwood motel to make a reservation i spoke with the owner Rakesch. We told him the dates we were planning to come and booked everything through him! When he asked us for a deposit we requested if we could zelle him the money and he said that was fine. So the reservation was book and i recieved an email conformation and everything was completed and set for our trip in August. The next day comes and I received a phone call from Angie (who is the owner as well) as soon as she heard my voice she seemed very irate and started questioning me about who I was, how do I know Rackesch, why I booked for 4 days and why he gave me a discount. She came off very aggressive, hostile and had a MAJOR attitude on the phone. She didn't even give me chance to explain myself and who I was. She then proceeded to ask me questions about my reservation and how I can't zelle my money for the deposit because her and her husband and her are divorced and how he is not a nice man and that he will take my money and pocket it. She also then started bashing him about how hes ruining the business they have together and that she divorced him for many reasons as I could tell. ** When I picked up the phone call from Angie I was at work and just so happen to be on my lunch break and I was able to have a phone conversation. I was in front of my co-worker, and he heard the whole conversation and could not believe that a owner was talking to a customer like that about her family issues, her divore and her trying to find out information as if it was my fault. And how she called frantically thinking that I was doing something wrong. When I wasn't doing anything wrong, I just booked a reservation with him. First off, I had NO IDEA they were divorced and quite frankly I really dont care because its none of my business. They BOTH are running their business TOGETHER and from what she was accusing me about was VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND DISGUSTING it made me feel VERY uncomfortable. I guess when she heard a females voice she automatically assumed I may have interest in her ex- husband and that he was giving me a deal to stay which wasn't even the case everyone who mails a check gets the 10% discount offered!! I told her that my family and I booked a trip and that we would be staying there. We have booked our vacations with them for the last 3 years. And since my friend didn't book it, and I did as soon as I told her, who my friend was, she was very apologetic and said, i'm so sorry I was unprofessional and questioning you about all these things. She demanded me to pay with a check for our deposit so i did and then asked for my credit card information to hold our reservation and I booked the trip with her to confirm it. When I got off the phone she called me another 2 times and didnt realize it was me again. Once we ended the call I wrote the check immediately and mailed it to her for the deposit. I asked for Angie to call me when she received the check. She didnt call and just sent me an invoice via email when she got the check and I then I called because the money for the deposit was still in my account. When I called again, she had an attitude and I was very thrown off and I asked her why the check wasn't deposited yet she said she misplaced the check and she couldn't find it. I asked her where the check was and she said, I must have lost it in the paperwork (not what I wanted to hear)..... I was very thrown off and extremely upset that she lost my check knowing it was posted and could of been cashed by whoever at this point. Angies response back was to call my bank and cancel the check. I told her to try to find my check that she misplaced and I would call back the next day to see if she found it. I called back the next day and another girl who works there picked up and said Angie wasn't at work yet to call back in an hour. So, I did, and when I called back again, she had another attitude. I asked if she found the check, she said, no. And she got very angry and said to call my bank and cancel the check. Like, she told me the day before. During the conversation she got even more angry and started yelling and being disrespectful and she responded to me and said, "don't you ever make a mistake in life?" And I told her nicely that this has nothing to do with a lost check! I said I just dont get it and how she could be so careless with someone's money when she owns a business! We stayed for July 4th weekend so rates were a little higher than I would like to pay for a motel, but that was the case everywhere for the holiday weekend. We felt safe on the first floor but maybe the second floor would have felt a little safer because not as many people would be walking by. A/c worked well and we were nice and cool.
