They really pack your bowls and it turns out looking great! The acai and pitaya tasted just the wee bit off to me--did they put juice in there? Or did it lie out a wee bit too long prior to being frozen? That weird taste threw me off, but I do love the variety of dry ingredients they have (cacao nibs? Blueberry granola? Yassss!) I also wish they gave me less chia pudding, but I'll know how to order next time--the chia pudding is quite refreshing though; this is probably more a personal preference. I have a favorite spot a few miles away that I frequent, but this is an okay spot for an acai snack--I think I need to try it again to see if the the weird taste is actually part of the sorbet or if it was just a one time deal. read more

This place is very clean. The portions are great for the price. Service was fast and the servers were very nice. I wish the açaí was a little more tart. You know when you're craving something cold, nutritional, and tasty? Yeah this Acai joint was super refreshing especially in the summer, the day after your hungover. I had to try this place out after all the great reviews. The decor is modern and clean, the place has friendly staff, and good portions for decent prices. They have different sizing so maybe get a large and share? Personally I like the Acai, and unlimited toppings?! Nice. The concept is great. The place is a little further from where I'm located, but if I'm in the area again I'll be sure to stop by. Didn't take photos cause I was too hungover, but I will when I'm back!! read more

I will admit it, I don't really go for acai bowls too often, but this place impressed me with its overall quality and bountiful selection of toppings. Though the shop is situated in a dowdy and forgettable plaza, once you step inside the decor is pleasant and inoffensive. They offer signature bowls, but I decided to get a large acai bowl knowing that I would just about put every topping on there since toppings are unlimited. No complaints about the super selection of superfoods offered that included goji berries, chia seeds, hemp seeds, and diced almonds just to name some, but more fruit choices would be an added bonus. I'm sure this is something they will look into. I absolutely enjoyed the matcha chia pudding, though you really can't go wrong with any combination of their fresh tasting toppings. Skip the basic Jamba Juice acai bowl and come here for so much more. I'm definitely trying a bowl with the pitaya base next time! read more

So I found out I've been pronouncing acai incorrectly. I love matcha, so their matcha chia pudding was great, there were so many options you could tell that they put in so matcha effort into it. :' ) I'm also that asshole that likes to arrive a minute before closing but customer service was still A+ This also motivated me to do sit-ups, so 11/10 would recommend. Acai done right! I finally found the gold standard of Acai establishments. Great service, quality fresh fruits and lots of toppings to make you the perfect Acai bowl. One of the friendly workers compared it to the Subway of Acai establishments. Very well accurate description in regards to building the perfect bowl to satisfy your craving. Unlimited toppings, fresh ingredients, a solid acai bowl place for a good price! One small bowl was just the right amount for me without feeling too full. Their granola layer is a little thinner than I'm used to, but if you get overnight oats instead of chia pudding that might create a better 1:1 wet:dry ratio (personal preference). Hands-down the best açai place I've been to. I went there recently for the first time and ordered 3 medium bowls. The staff members were so sweet and carried great energy. I loved the unlimited topping options. The chia pudding and granola complemented each other well + their fruits were so fresh! The açai part of the bowl tasted really refreshing and it was overall SO GOOD. Their bowls are all so aesthetically pleasing too. 10/10! Plus, I heard they're hosting a FUNDRAISER with my local high school to fundraise for the students there!! It's next Saturday (MAY 1st) all throughout the day from 9AM to 7PM!! Friendly staff and delicious acai! They let us sample all the flavors before ordering. What I love about this place is that you can make your own bowl and they offer unlimited toppings!! My favorite is the chia pudding! They have a larger selection of fruits and toppings compared to other places. Everything just looks aesthetically pleasing inside and I leave feeling guilt free. I wasn't sure what to expect coming into this place, especially since it was in a small strip mall but don't let it's looks fool you, Acai Joint packs a punch in the flavor department. When you first arrive, you'll be greeted at the station and asked whether you'd like to get an acai bowl or one of their smoothies. Although their smoothies looked AMAZING, I opted for their bowls which were priced very well! For about $7 you get roughly 12 oz which is what they consider small and although I usually get a medium at most places, the 12 oz was more than enough. The base is pretty standard, you can get acai or pitaya, and both are pretty good but sometimes I like to be basic and get the standard acai which is always super nice and thick which I really appreciate since some places make it super watery. As for the toppings, I added chia pudding, their honey almond peanut butter (was an extra charge but SO WORTH IT), cinnamon granola, bananas, strawberries, blueberries, goji berries (hard to eat because they stick to your teeth but still fun nonetheless) and lots honey. Overall it was a really nice treat that didn't break the bank and satisfied my cravings. Would definitely recommend checking this place out if you're in the SGV and looking for something to satisfy your sweet tooth while still getting your fruits in. ;) read more

This place has so much potential. I was in the area so i decided to yelp around me. Found this spot in the corner of a run down plaza. I wish it was in a better location. Anyways, i went in and ordered the larger sized cup of acai. The ratio of ingredients to acai is way off. I hardly got any acai for the big cup that i paid for. Let alone the guy that made my acai bowl filled it with SO MUCH cacao nibs and almonds. It was so damn crunchy. I had to scoop half of it out! I couldnt even enjoy it at this point. Just disappointed. The way they cut the fruit isnt what im used to either. Strawberries and bananas were cut so thick. The acai was too frozen. Maybe not enough juice to smooth it out? Not sure but i tried mixing the toppings into the acai but it was kinda hard. They have the concept down...they just need to tweak a few things. I am appalled by the response of the business owner. How are you going to tell me i didnt come in? Which ever customer you're describing as far as going in to ask for an extra cup, it aint me. Youre a business owner and im the consumer. Two males were working Saturday early shift. One of them made my bowl. Noones trying to sabotage your business. I simply went in and ordered a bowl and gave my opinion on Yelp. read more

So hard to find an acai place anywhere near me, this place was perfect! Very clean interior design, also great for photo opportunities with a super wild things vibe! Love it ! They have different size bowls from small to medium to large. The best part is that you get unlimited toppings! Speaking of toppings they have a wide variety of toppings you can choose from as well.I had ordered the og bowl, because I was too indecisive on what toppings I wanted. The service was quick and friendly. Parking: acai joint is located in a mini plaza they do have their own parking lot. Taste: Fruits were fresh, love the thicker coconut shavings, only thing i had an issue with, was the chia seed pudding it had a after taste to it. Been so, so excited for this to open bc of my love for Blue Bowl in the OC area and not being able to find a comparable option in the 626. Finally an acai bowl place that is customizable and so close to home!! YAS. Now I can eat dessert without feeling tooooo guilty, lmao. Their prices are super decent with bowls being ~10 and customizable w any topping you like. I like their acai bc the texture is so nice and does not melt immediately like you would find elsewhere. Also important is the granola, and I found myself loving the vanilla almond one!! They offer a lot of other toppings that are super healthy as well. Service was nice, decently fast, and knew all the answers to my questions that I had!! It was only the soft opening and I enjoyed my bowl. I'm sure there are plenty of adjustments and more ingredients to add, and I can't wait to see it. read more

Love this hole in the wall located in Baldwin Park. Customized bowls made to fit your own taste. I never made an effort to drive to OC for acai bowls. Now that there's one in 626 definitely don't need to make any effort to go there just for an Acai bowl. The acai has a perfect texture. With a scoop of some granola. My favorite is the honey almond. Add some chia pudding (the OG or matcha) and your bowl is almost complete. The matcha chia is my favorite. Add some fruits and shredded coconut flakes and hemp seeds. Just add one last touch of agave and almond butter and it's time to devour this healthy snack/meal/or even dessert. Will definitely be coming back often!! read more

I had my friend show the female worker my order that i had sent him through text and he said that he asked the same thing for himself. When I got my bowl back i noticed mine didn't have pitaya so he went back to ask the worker if it had pitaya and she had said yes (the bowl to the left) even though it clearly didn't have it. I went back in myself and said that there was no pitaya and she had tried to blame my friend saying she had asked him but it was his FIRST time and he specifically said that he asked her TWO of the same orders and he had shown her this specific text. If the order was mishandled it was her fault and there's nothing wrong with that because miscommunication does happen. My problem is, when I had gone back in, she could've just said sorry it was a genuine mistake and i would've honestly walked away, but she was RUDELY aggressive and had said "if you want I'll make you a new bowl but I asked your friend" with so much attitude, clearly not wanting to make me a new one. Not to mention she rolled her eyes at me. In addition, when she made my second bowl (bowl to the right) she barely put any pitaya and I had clearly asked for HALF. It is frustrating because she put an excessive amount of toppings because I can tell she was upset with me. The quality of my second bowl was terrible as you can see that majority of the bowl at that point was toppings and barely any pitaya like had I originally asked for. I'm giving 3 stars only because this is one of my favorite Acai places and I was here yesterday and my bowl made by the male worker was fantastic and he was really nice and had great customer service. Something I wish that was instilled in the female worker working today :( read more

I came to açaí joint for their soft opening and I am glad I did! I'm a huge açaí critic so coming here I had my expectations high, and they exceeded that. The taste of the açaí was very good. Not too sweet, but the açaí taste was def there. I give açaí joint 5 stars for the texture. The different toppings really do bring in the entire bowl together, making it a mouthful! My only issue was with the chia pudding. I have a huge sweet tooth so this being a bit on the subtle side steered me away. But if you eat it all together with the açaí and toppings it makes the perfect combo. Customer service was also very welcoming. Each employee helped me with whatever questions I had with each of the ingredients and if I was curious they offered my a sample. Açaí joint did not disappoint and I will def be coming here more often to get my açaí fix! read more

We were hungry and it was hot, so we're looking for Acai Bowl near the area. Having high expectation with this place with such high review, we went inside. There were 2 workers behind the counter. I'm used to Blue Bowl in Orange, so this place has such a slow service, but I was hungry so I waited. The acai itself is not bad at all, but not good either. Both I and my husband got the same thing just slightly diff topping but you can see the size diff in my photo. My bowl also has tons of honey! I'm not expecting them to know my ideal, but I had to take out about more than 1 Tbsp of honey out of my bowl. The bowl is also sticky. I'm not sure if this is acceptable near the area, but I've been to a lot of acai bowl places and I never have this experience before. read more

I want to start off by saying that Acai Joint offers an unlimited topping option AND an option to choose more than one base. How awesome is that?! They currently have 3 different bases to choose from and that is Acai, Pitaya, and their newest addition Mystic Berry (strawberry). I usually go for half Acai and half Mystic berry! For a sweet tooth like me the tarte flavor of Acai pairs perfect with the sweet Mystic Berry. I go for the matcha chia pudding instead of original since matcha has many nutritional benefits and i choose all the fruits available. There are plenty of options for granola, vegan ones included. At the dry topping section they offer lots of nuts, seeds, dried berries, nut butters, and more natural sweeteners such as honey and agave. It's awesome how Acai Joint offers so many superfood ingredients. This is the place to stop by for a healthy, filling, and delicious treat! As for seating they have 6 bar stool seats and a table and bench that can seat up to 4 people! They recently added a cute yellow picnic style table and chair outside for additional seats. My favorite part of their store is the hand painted tropical leaf mural. Talk about IG worthy Acai bowl pics! Lol! Parking is available on site in their lot or you can street park too. I've never had trouble finding parking. They do get kind of packed inside around dinner time so try your best to go early as possible! Acai Joint accepts card and cash. Acai is a staple in my diet and I have to say I'm a really big fan of Acai Joint. They have a very diverse set of toppings and flavors unlike your typical place. By my company, the ones I generally buy for my meals contain the standard Acai, granola, different fruits, honey, coconut flakes, peanut butter, etc... a fixed order. Over here, you're able to order from several different bases and a variety of up to 15 or so different toppings. If I had to give it any cons, it'd be that I couldn't fit all the toppings I wanted as I believe it's unlimited toppings of your choice. There's just too much to choose from. Moreover, there is a pretty unique topping I haven't seen anywhere else and that would be the chia pudding. It's a must try as it changes the whole dynamic of Acai in a positive way! I also think the Acai itself has one of the best texture I've tried.. it doesn't melt very easily as do other places. The consistency is amazing. read more

This place definitely beats all the other acai places I have been too. Went in around their opening week, which was recommended by a friend, and was easily hooked. I got to talk a bit with the owner and several of his employees, all who helped me out in making my decisions for my acai bowl. I've been back numerous times and I enjoy the whole team of employees with how excellent they are in their service and product. As far as what I order, I guess I kept it pretty basic and go with acai and whatever granola I feel like having for that time. I usually get bananas, strawberries, and blueberries for the fruits.
