Rated #1 by the Açaí Queen

Hands down the best açaí spot in town, because: 1. The açaí here is fresh and solid, not syrupy; 2. This place is consistently clean; 3. Large açaí is Large; 4. All fruits are fresh; 5. My daughter the Açaí Queen keeps making me take her here every chance she gets!

This is my go-to acai place whenever I'm craving it. I love how customizable the bowls are and there are a lot of options to choose from. Inside has some seats with two big tables. There are also no extra charges to add on anything.

The açaí was cold and the nuts were crunchy and granola was crispy. The Bananas and strawberries were fully ripe so they were perfectly sweet . The small bowl was filling. The taste was very good,The service was fast and efficient. I love that you can order in a kiosk so you can make your order fast and easy . A lot of younger people were around maybe because It's a weekend. So the place was pretty alive and fun.

One of the best Acai bowls in SF. Very generous portions and fantastic "build your own" combinations of ingredients that let's you combine multiple options to create a customized deliciously healthy meal. The mango chia coconut is delicious, and the honey roasted peanut butter is a must. Super low key location on a busy street but worth the trip.

Tried the açaí bowl recently - delicious! Love the chia seeds and coconut flavor. The banana and I think some chocolate was in there but still fairly healthy with the oats.

One of my favorite spots for a healthy treat. I have a little ritual of ordering on Saturday mornings. I truly love this spot.

I love acai bowls and fresh watermelon juice so much! I always come here bc their bowls are so good, as well as their watermelon juice! They make the bowls in front of you, employees are very nice and they work really fast to get everyone's order done. The inside is super aesthetically pleasing, good for people who want to study here or just eat their acai bowl right away ! I definitely recommend this to lots of people who love fresh fruit juices and acai bowls.

First time going and it was a blast! So many flavors and interesting tastes to choose from, tons of fruit packed in a bowl, love the ice. I prefer the new açaí based compared to the old as it has less sugar an and more açaí. I didn't realize how amazing apples were in açaí bowls and I love how the fruit is cut thoroughly. Will be back for sure. Location is hard to find parking, you also get a free chocolate toast for checking in!

Acai R has a wide variety of bases such as, spirulina, acai (and their new acai base), matcha, coconut chia, tumeric chia, pitaya (my favorite) and more. There are many options for toppings, which include fruit, granola, seeds, and peanut/cashew/almond butters. Everything is very fresh, the fruit is sweet, and they give very decent portions!

This is one of the best Acai bowls I've ever had in my life. Parking is kind of difficult in this area but this place is worth it. They have two kiosks for people to order and I decided to create my own bowl. I'm a bit indecisive so I almost put everything in it and in the end it still tasted amazing. Also it's unlimited toppings with no increase in price. There's plenty of seating inside as well.

The açaí is just not great - the bases are too frozen, with an unpleasant texture, as well as far too sweet and lacking fruit flavor. The interior of the business is very nice and modern and seems like a great study spot. The service was also fast and friendly. There are some freebies for Yelp check ins as well.

Monday, 9:30am: I don't often go to Ocean Ave, but here I am, searching for breakfast. Acia R caught my eye with its sparkling clean interior, sadly, no chairs with back support. (Not everyone is 16). Impressed that all ingredients posted on the wall. I'm in. Bonus points for reasonable pricing. I usually hate ordering on a computer, but it was a breeze. The woman at the counter was super friendly. Thought I would write my review in house, but even after I asked for the password I couldn't understand her directions. Wish it was written somewhere. Maybe it was? I heard something about my receipt, but nothing written there. Anyway, glad to see this wasn't a laptop village. Most of the orders were pickup/ takeout. I took a risk & ordered Avocado Toast at an Açaí Bowl establishment. Score! Absolutely delicious. One slice of bread with an insanely generous amount of avocado, mixed with seeds & bits of cucumber adding a delightful crunch. Think I'm going to stop going to cafes on Monday. Bread was good, but tasted day old. Really loved the watermelon drink- no sugar added. Yay My loaded toast was presented in a to-go container, even wrapped the sando with cellophane to keep it from falling apart in transit. The acia bowls looked delicious, glad to see you can skip the sweeteners, keeping glycemic index in check. I've always been suspicious of food I can't pronounce, and those bowls looked like dessert. If I'm feeling adventurous this is the place I'll return to. No regrets.

Granola bowl rather than açaí bowl
    Vina T.

I used to love this spot--always chose it over Palmetto for the fresh, high-quality açaí. But recently, it's been disappointing. Every time I order, the bowl is packed with way more granola than açaí or fruit. It honestly feels like I'm paying for a granola bowl, not an açaí bowl lol It's usually the same young Asian guy making it--he seems like a Gen Z kid who's still learning, and that's totally fine, but he definitely needs more training on portions. Two big scoops of dry granola, a tiny dab of almond butter, and barely any fruit or base? It's not enjoyable to scoop into a bowl and get mostly dry granola with no balance. If the owner sees this, I hope it's taken as constructive feedback. Customers are paying for açaí and fresh toppings, not filler. If this is how the bowls are going to be made, it would be more accurate to advertise them as granola bowls. Please help guide your staff to portion the bowls with the focus on what people actually come here for: the açaí and fruits.

Is the seating area currently open and is wifi offered?

Yeah seating is open. I've seen people with laptops so I assume wifi is offered but haven't used it myself.

What's the difference between 100% organic acai NEW and 100% organic acai ORIGINAL?

NEW has less sugar, healthier. Not quite as creamy as their original, but still good and not much of a difference.

How long can I keep it in the fridge and keep the consistency intacted or do I have to eat it right away?

Always best to eat right away--but if unable to, I suggest removing & refrigerating the toppings. Put acai part in the freezer. When ready to eat, let acai thaw a bit, add back toppings.

By the time I open it to eat at home, the butters have frozen. Should I microwave the butters to soften it again?

Hi Katrina! We don't recommend microwaving the butter because it also softens the granola. Our butters are made with coconut oil base, so it turns hard just like the chocolate shell on ice creams. Some customer likes it this way because it tastes… Read more

What is the blue spriulina base? and what is the difference between the two chia puddings?

Hey I get the blue spirulina base because it's a heavy metal detoxer. It comes in a yummy light blue almost ice cream/gelato consistency. It's quite yummy. How ever the chia puddings I'm not sure about but I bet it is amazing too.

Do any of the bowl's base(s) contain dairy and/or soy? For example, Jamba Juice's acai is blended with nonfat/soy milk unless specified. Thanks!

The only base that contains soy milk is overnight oats, all bases are non-dairy.

Which food items have added sugar?

The base(s) contains either organic coconut sugar or organic cane sugar since acai puree is not sweet at all. We are working on a new "keto base" but the taste was rather bland. We can offer sample tasting if there are customers on a keto diet, pm… Read more

Is there somewhere I can find the ingredients of the bases?

I did ask the owner what they sweeten the bases with and he said it's with organic cane sugar.

Why does your Acai look like sorbet? I thought Acai should be blended into smoothie texture?

The sorbet texture is the only way to make a pure Acai base, without the mix taste of other fruits. We don’t blend our Acai with other fruit juice and/or fresh fruits, this way you can actually taste a pure strong Acai base. This Acai base is… Read more

I think Cafe de Casa also used to make them, but I haven't been in a couple of years. The Brazilian Spot offers açaí bowls, baked goods, and juices on the menu, as well has a small, hot buffet-style section where I think you pay by weight. There's also shelves of imported, Brazilian grocery items on the left wall, which is pretty cool if you're looking for more specialized goods that aren't typically available in your regular grocery store. There's a handful of tables and chairs, but not a lot of seating otherwise. The pão de queijo was still warm in the bag when we picked them up. Their version was too salty and dense for my taste; the pão de queijo of my memories from that spot on Balboa Ave was bouncier and airier than The Brazilian Spot's (they also had fun flavors like guava). If I *really* get a hankering for pão de queijo again, I might come back, but otherwise, the search continues.
