This place was pet friendly! I was able to bring my dog Emma in with us. I asked the barista for a cup of water and he was nice enough to give it to me. Cuppa for years is a neighborhood staple to grab Boba tea and a soft serve . Due to a flood months before they have been closed for months. They have now reopened and now back in business. This is a spacious place where you can enjoy a dessert and play board games. This is the spot to hangout and meet. They also serve snacks here. I got the strawberry matcha boba here and it was tasty and it wasn't too sweet by request. There was the right amount of matcha to strawberry ratio in the drink in each sip. I then had to try peach ice tea which was refreshing and had a good taste to it. They also have smoothies here. It is good to see Cuppa back. Prior to their reopening, this used to be one the top 3 boba spots in the city and peninsula. Now it's just one of the many in the middle of the pack. It is a still very cool location that allows for people to hang out while they enjoy their drinks and snacks. But the drinks are more over-priced than before and the quality is diminishing. Service is ok overall But on my last visit, I asked for a drink that I used to get before but don't see on the menu. The staff said they didn't have it, but about 10 minutes later another customer ordered that same drink from another staff. I was so I climbed to say something at that point but figured it wasn't worth my time and gave the staff who was helping me the benefit of doubt that they just didn't know. read more

I love this place and definitely one of my favorite places in San Francisco and here is why: 1) two pieces of misubi and they are huge portions 2) one of the few places in the City that has both boba, snacks, and froyo. 3) Place allows board games and they have a few tabletop games too. We have been here before, but this was a particularly good visit. It was nice to see the place busy. Also great to see the staff able to handle it when it's crowded. We didn't have any food, but we got a couple of drinks. Mine was a Matcha mango and my husband was also some sort of mango drink. While they were on the expensive side, they were very enjoyable, flavorful and well crafted. This has become quite a spot for teenagers in the area. In many Asian households, the highest compliment for something that's supposed to be sweet is, "Yum, it's not too sweet!" Cuppa isn't enthusiastic about making sugary drinks according to a posted sign, which suits my palate just fine. Though their pretty ombre drinks are tempting (July4 is red, white, & blue, & Summer Sunsets is aptly named), I've always only ordered the unadventurous, but reliably delicious Decaf Jasmine Green Milk Tea with lychee jelly. I alternate between 50% and 75% sweet & honestly, they both taste similar & perfectly not-too-sweet for me. Love it, will continue to order it. I've yet to try their frozen yogurt, but I did buy Chicken Teriyaki Misubi (two pieces to an order) based on being told that it's made with chicken breast. Plot twist: it was made with chicken thigh, my least favorite piece. All good, they excel at making milk tea, & that's all that matters. I guess you could say Cuppa is my cuppa tea. read more

I stopped by Cuppa's booth at the Glen Park Night Market and tried their strawberry matcha and the new strawberry refresher and wow, both were so good! I have a sweet tooth, and the strawberry refresher definitely stole the show for me. I learned that the business has been around for three years, and it's now under new management, run by the owner's son and his friend. Both of them were so kind and welcoming. You could really feel the heart they're putting into continuing the business. I'll absolutely be back to try more drinks. I think this place use to be called Rock-It Swirl, renamed to Cuppa but honestly not much has changed in terms of the food is available here. Because of Covid, they closed off entry to the inside of the store, and they take orders directly from the front door. However, there isn't a clear area of where people should be if they're waiting in line to order, waiting for their order, or waiting to pick up from delivery apps. Could be fixed with signage or even stickers on the floor, especially with how crowded it can get. I got the matcha latte, as I'm a big matcha fan. This drink is a bit of a paradox- the drink was super powdery, yet the matcha flavor was very weak and the drink was watery? The food looks a bit overpriced, but you are helping a local restaurant during the pandemic. Overall, a good local boba shop, but definitely not a destination if you're from out of town. read more

Oh darn! Rockit Swirl is gone (feigning disappointment). It was indeed a child-friendly spot. The problem was that I wasn't. Child-friendly, that is. Get off my lawn! Get your mouth off the spigot! OK, I'm not that bad. Just in my head as I silently suffer from the endless sampling that occurs when a gaggle of pre-adolescent girls monopolize all the handles. Luckily in its new incarnation as Cuppa, there are only six flavors which doesn't seem bad unless they double-sample just to be sure. Somebody just shoot me when that happens, but it didn't this time. That may be because the vibe felt a little older and a little more Asian given the addition of tea drinks, boba smoothies, and Spam musubi to their menu. This review is based off their beverages and snacks. I didn't get their frozen yogurt but I would probably come back to try it. Ordered the strawberry green tea and summer sunset without toppings. The strawberry green tea is the perfect amount of sweetness and it's pretty good. I would order it again. The summer sunset is a concoction of 2-3 different fruit teas but I don't remember which ones they are. I honestly got suckered in because of how pretty the drink was. The standard drink come with popping boba but I'm not a fan so I got it without. There's like a bitter aftertaste so I wasn't too much of a fan. I also ordered their spicy crab musubi and it was ok. The seaweed wasn't crunch and more so mushy. Comes with a tiny container of sriracha which I appreciate. I tried calling in my order but no one picked up so I just placed an order in person (which was at the door). For the 3 items, I spent about $17 which is pretty average for the city. I ordered from Cuppa via doordash and the food was okay. Definitely not the best milk tea around, but it'll cut your cravings. I ordered two Thai Teas and a coconut island milk tea. I also ordered the spam musubi and the tuna musubi. they were okay but they were very plain. There wasn't any sauce on it whatsoever, nor did it come with any sauce. The concept of the place is pretty cute, however, the quality of the drinks and frozen yogurt were okay. 1) Frozen Yogurt is frozen yogurt and theres not much you cant say because its a pretty standard item. However, its the toppings that threw me off. The fruit didnt look fresh, the toppings looked old as if they dont switch out new batches. The topping station was dirty which matters in a sense where toppings were found in certain stations they didnt belong. 2) The drinks were very standard. Definitely no wow factor and nothing I have not tried before. 3) The games were dirty and lots of pieces were broken or missing, for instance Connect 4. Maybe this isnt the employees fault but i feel there could be some way to keep the games together and clean. read more
