    Layered Avocado

The avocado cream . I've always drove past this place heading out to NS but decided to try here since I hit up another spot I've been eyeing out. But anyways, this little shop is a true hidden gem. The lady helping us was the kindest person. Even though it was short staffed she was extremely kind and empathetic to each and every customer waiting. Their payment system is self ordering and she fulfills the orders behind the kitchen. I ordered the Layered Avocado cream with banana, bee pollen and coconut shreds. The açaí was nice and tart with the hint of sweet but once I got to that avocado cream... Omg!!!! So creamy and a nice avocado flavor. I asked if they sold JUST the avocado cream but she said they don't. . The view was an added plus. Downstairs bar seating with the sunny view of lake Wilson. It's truly a relaxing spot I'd come back too and I hope they'll be able to sell me the avocado cream too! Ahaha

This place is located in Wahiawa. It's by Schofield barracks. Parking sucks but it's worth the parking. This is a chain located in California and i am surprised they made their way here. The acai here is way better than California. I was surprised. I got the layers of paradise with mango cream and boy, that hit the spot. The acai mix with mango, honey, and granola hit so good on a hot day. The acai is ice cream texture. The ones in California is liquid and melts too fast. I give this acai a 5/5. You can't leave unless you get the cheese bread. It's so hot and cheesy and it was amazing. Overall it's not much to say but 4.7/5. The service is pretty fast for only 2 people and they're super friendly. It's a grab and go type ambiance and overall I recommend this place.

I had hear about the layers of paradise, had mixed feelings of the thought of avocado being in it but I gave in and tried it. It's delicious. The avocado is creamy, sweet, nutty tasting. Goes well with the Acai. Bruno great choice on adding to the menu. Thank you for sharing a piece of your home in Brazil. The only interaction I had with someone was when they called me for my order. Plenty seating that views the lake Wilson.

We have been coming to you for a few years now, but today had to be to worst. So much garlic Paste, and little to no meat. Claudia wouldn't have fixed it like that.

Came in today and I got the large açaí bowl with almost butter topping ( extra charge ) and extra granola ( extra charge ) . Acai itself was pretty good and the view was nice. I do have a few ehhhs about my experience though. No one greeted when we arrived . Person inside who makes the available saw us ordering on the machine but not even a hi or welcome ! Even the other service who brought down açaí bowls for the customers downstairs didn't even say hi .. okay cool that's fine . I ordered extra granola which didn't look like nothing was in the açaí bowl , I love granola like I need it lol . That's why I ordered extra ..... couldn't believe how much granola ( that comes with my order ) and my extra order I placed on the side was put in my açaí bowl .... So in the picture I ordered another group of extra granola which is in the container .... $1.60 + tax's for this small portion cup .. kind of sad but I needed my granola with my açaí.. I've tried many açaí places , even though price is high it's pretty worth it with the portion they provide but kind of sad with my açaí and granola today ....

I loved this place! Great vibe with a pretty scenery. The Acai was amazing So so good!

This place is amazing! If you love Açaí this is the place to get your fix! Try the Layers of Paradise with avocado, so good! Thanks Bruno!

Parking was pretty full out front so we parked further down in the parking lot that says for pick up only and walked. My husband got the large aloha bowl. Which was the basic açaí bowl with bananas and strawberries and granola. He said it was delicious. I got the layers of paradise with lilikoi cream. This was absolutely delicious the creaminess went so well together. I did wish it was in a bowl not a cup so I could eat both together. But overall delicious. In the middle of no where but so good!

Woman behind the counter was extremely nice. Answered our questions on menu items. We tried the layer Acai and cheese bread... OMG DELICIOUS! We will be back soon. Cute lanai that overlooks the Wahiawa Reservoir with a nice breeze.

layers of paradise with avocado and nutella

Service 5/5 love the vibes I was getting from the lady, I went 30 minutes before closing so they were only doing acai bowls and i asked for her recommendation between the layers of paradise or the oahu bowl and she enthusiastically replied with the layers of paradise. She then suggested Nutella and I'm glad I got it in the end!!! Soo ono and service made it even better. Returning soon, and don't be afraid to try the avocado :p

The lake behind the Açaí restaurant

Some of the best açaí I've ever had. The service was fantastic! The woman running the place was so kind and you get to eat your açaí while looking over a beautiful lake. We couldn't have had a more incredible experience.

Perfect stop on the way to the North Shore!!! Hands down, best acai I've ever had!!! We tried all the 3 flavors of the "Layers of Paradise" - the mango, lilikoi and avocado! I thought I'd like the mango best, but surprisingly, they were ALL equally delicious!!! The granola they top it with was so crunchy and flavorful and they add condensed milk too which made it so rich and creamy!!!! Our daughter also got the cheese balls which were freshly made and Guarana drink, which are 2 more must haves! Our family is hooked and definitely coming back!

Just came by with the family and had the best Açaí ever. Seriously! 3 of us had the "Layers of Paradise" with Açaí and Mango. Really quality açaí with a creamy mango layer and granola & condensed milk sauce on top. So good! Our daughter had the Brazilian Cheese Bread. Never had it before, but now I want to order a lot of it next time! Crispy flaky outside and soft & cheesy inside. New favorite spot in Wahiawa. You can sit and eat on the nice deck overlooking the lake. Owners are super nice people. Try it and you won't be disappointed.

Ube mascarpone pancakes!…read more I've dined here and at the Aiea location a few times. To my surprise, Guieb was introducing an updated menu when my friend and I visited earlier today. Our server explained that the menu is more streamlined with favorites. He mentioned that all pancake dishes can be interchangeable to waffles and that the waffle in their chicken and waffle dish can be any flavor! can My friend and I ordered new menu items, the Aria Plate for her and Da 3-Bite Feast for me. We enjoyed our plates! I love when restaurants offer samplers of sweet and savory breakfast items. The ube mascarpone pancakes were as legitimately ube and not too sweet as ever. The crab cake Benedict was great with a crispy crab cake patty and the poached egg a good medium (huge improvement from the bao bun Benedict I ordered for takeout years ago). The egg from the Wagyu loco moco was cooked exactly like the over easy I requested. The meat was moist and the gravy was flavorful. Good to know I don't always have to get the same ube mascarpone pancakes every time! One of our servers seemed a little hurried when my friend just arrived, even though the restaurant wasn't busy. I gently reminded him that my friend needed time to look at the menu. (Maybe he got too excited, haha!) The rest of the staff were friendly and attentive. I seem to forget about Guieb's parking in the back, or even the 1-hour parking around the block. The closest untimed street parking I'm aware of is near First Hawaiian Bank a couple blocks away. Guieb Cafe Wahiawa is always a favorite whenever I have visiting family and friends, or for loved ones moving away.

****CHECK YOUR RECEIPT PRIOR TO PAYING****…read more ****CHECK YOUR RECEIPT PRIOR TO PAYING**** I had lunch with my wife and had a wonderful experience (she had the country fried steak and I had the Korean rib-eye with an order of 4 beignets [2 of the Ube and 2 of the Strawberry])... ...until I got the receipt for our meal. The cost for the whole meal was reasonable until I saw the price for the beignets that were the special menu item. THEY TRIED TO CHARGE US $25.00 for 4 beignets. (For reference: Price was: 1 for $2.75 or 4 for $10.00) I only ordered 4 (two of the Strawberry and 2 of the Ube so my wife and I can try both flavors), which should come out to $10.00. I confronted the waitress about the mistake, and was very apologetic about the error. She returns to the register to fix it and the total came out to $11.00, not $10.00. The math doesn't make sense. So I approached the waitress and she said and I quote: "We charge the $2.75 price because you ordered two orders of two different types of beignets. Since each cost $2.75, the total comes out to $11.00". THAT WAS NEVER MENTIONED WHEN THE WAITRESS TOOK OUR ORDER OR WAS NOT PRINTED ON THE MENU WHEN WE WERE LOOKING AT THE ORDER I asked her why wasn't this mentioned while we were ordering it, even though she was present when I was having the discussion of the beignets to my wife. All she did was apologize but didn't change the ticket. I didn't want to cause a scene, so I paid the bill and took off. I only state this because even though it is only a dollar, this could have been going on for a good amount of time where they can rack up a good sum of money from customers if they kept this act going. And restaurants wonder why people don't go to their establishments: because occurrences similar to this dissuade people from going out to eat. This is why I check my receipt before paying. *see picture* Don't get me wrong, food was wonderful and the ambiance was laid back and relaxed, but they should make it known of their EXACT pricing before advertising a food item on the menu

They make them in a unique way, pressing the dough on a waffle iron so the outside comes out crispy and crunchy while the inside stays chewy. The four-pack is the way to go--plenty for one person and shareable for two, but I wouldn't try splitting it beyond that because you'll definitely want more than one for yourself. I've also tried the coxinha and the ham and cheese pastel, which were good, though not as much of a standout as the pao de queijo. Everything is served very fresh, so fresh in fact that I burned my mouth on the pastel because of the steam pocket inside, so it's worth letting things cool a little before biting in. Seating is all outdoors at picnic tables with umbrellas, and while there's usually space available, you might need to share a table if it's busy. There's no cooling, so it can get hot during the day even with the shade. Parking is on the street out front. I've never had trouble finding a spot, but pulling in and out can be tricky if there's traffic going by. Overall I'd give Crispy Grindz 4 stars. The pao de queijo alone makes it worth stopping for, while the other items I tried were good but not the best I've had. I haven't tried the bowls or other menu items, so I can't comment on those, but if you're in the area the pao de queijo is something I definitely recommend.
