Visited the NEX and Commissary and walked through the food court around lunch time on a Wednesday and it was busy with active people on duty, retired people, and family members. I just wanted a nice green smoothie and service was pretty quick! I got a small Dr. Green which had spinach, mango, and ginger, and my dad wanted a Pitaya Passion. Lanikai Juice has the best fresh juice and bowls. Sunrise Chill (juice), Monkey Biz (bowl), and Kailua Monkey (smoothie) are a few of my faves. That said, the NEX location is probably the worst one. It's a small popup in the food court - finding seats is a hit or miss. The service isn't very good, which doesn't bother me since these are just a bunch of kids making minimum wage. What does bother me is that they're supposed to be open until 6pm but I've come as early as 5:05 and was told they're no longer serving as they clean. I've only had Lanikai Juice twice and this time I ordered a Açaí extravaganza bowl. So delicious, I ordered the largest bowl they had and it took me half a day to finish, so it could be worth the price. I would go back and order something new to try, I'd also recommend their monkey bowl and pitaya smoothie. I ordered the Dr. green smoothie in a medium. The smoothie was very sweet and tolerable as a "green" smoothie even my husband tried it. I wasn't sure what to expect but this was really enjoyable. Service was quick and there is ample parking as it is located above the commissary outside the NEX. The choices on their menu and plentiful and they have weekly promotions. Plethora of bowls, juices and smoothies. I needed an energy boost and inquired about bowls without bananas and chocolates. Five stars for above and beyond, excellent customer service! Owner was very considerate, thoughtful and recommended Berried Treasure without organic cacao nibs. She offered chia seeds in place of organic cacao nibs which I'm very grateful and didn't expect. She disclosed to me that she used a clean and separate cutting board so there's no cross contamination. Berried Treasure in large size fulfilled my appetite. Enjoyed the fresh ingredients. I will take into consideration ordering a Knight Rydah minus organic cacao nibs next time. read more

Newly opened location at the Navy Exchange (NEX). Located in the food court on the 2nd level just off the escalators. When I'm in town Lanikai is always my go to for Acai Bowls and smoothies. My favorite is always the Extravaganza Bowl because it has all the delicious fresh fruits, crunchy granola and topped with honey. My kids like the Acai Monkey because they enjoy the creamy peanut butter and cocoa nib topping. Definitely a delicious and healthy treat for the whole family. Went with a monkey biz which had banana, protein powder of your choice, almond milk and peanut butter topped with banana, chocolate chips and granola. Ordered 3 smoothies at different times here and all three time I haven't been impressed with the quality or price of the product. First time I ordered something with the word splash in it and that was probably the best drink. The next time I ordered the monkey one with peanut butter in it and they didn't even have the proper ingredients to make it. I drank half and threw the rest away bc it tasted weird (waste of money). Today took the cake though bc the employee clearly made a medium instead of the large which I ordered and instead of properly fixing the issue, decided to just add more ice and re-blend it LMAO. You guys need to do better. Or, just go to orange julius or Jamba Juice instead. Probably not going back here again. Save your money. You've been warned. read more

I've been meaning to give this review because it's long overdue. First thing I want to give a huge shout out to Analyn. She makes the Best bowls hands down! Just go to her you can't go wrong. She's been consistently amazing. She's my go to whenever I see her and I even ask what days she'll be in just to have that peace of mind. She's so nice and easy to talk to. I'd have a picture of the bowls she makes but I eat them before I can stop myself long enough to take one. By then I tell myself next time, but I've been saying that for quite some time. Extremely disappointed with my experience at this location. Came in at 5:39 to order and they said they had shut down their juicer area at 5:30. Hours online and in-store state that closing is at 6:00pm. What really irritated me is the fact that I saw 2 people walk by with their juices after 5:45 which makes me think that the staff here are lazy. Workers lack manners, professionalism and are immature. Recommend going to a different location for better experience. Lanikai please hire more competent employees or put a visible notice saying that the juicer area closes at 5:30. read more

Been ordering the berried treasure smoothie ever since I found out it doesn't have bananas! Been to this location several times however a couple of weeks ago they messed up my order and someone added banana to it. However, I didn't discover this until I started drinking it and was too far away to turn around so I called the store to request a refund. However, after several phone calls and limitless amounts of explanation the manager, Anna, ultimately told me she could not do anything to help me other than request IT department support to refund my online order. She apologized but I could tell she didn't care that I was having an allergic reaction to the banana. I've never had this problem at any other location or this location before. I haven't been refunded. I'm bummed that I won't be going back because they are the only ones who offer a decent tasting smoothies without banana. She did say that I didn't declare my allergy but their online store doesn't give you the option like Mala Market or other stores. I recommend they add that to their ordering options because she said it was my responsibility to notify them. That doesn't sound right because the smoothie doesn't have bananas in it. Why would I mention no bananas or a banana allergy if it doesn't include it. I wouldn't want to confuse the employees. I'm sure they are nice people but poor customer service. read more

I went in to order two bowls and a smoothie however I asked the female cashier if they had a matcha smoothie and she very rudely said yes it's up there. I then proceeded to ask if it had caffeine in it and she said yes matcha has caffeine in it already and rolled her eyes. I asked if she had tried it before she said no. I placed my order and told her it was a to go order and she very rudely rolled her eyes and when my acai bowls were ready she didn't put lids so I had to ask for lids as well as a bag in which she handed them to me and told me to put it on myself. I am an açaí bowl addict. My wife is close behind. The Lanikai Juice açaí bowls are wonderful. I have been getting them there for several years and the consistency is amazing. What is even more impressive is the service. I go to the Kahala store but have found the service to be excellent when I have gone to the Lanikai Juice's other shops. The staff is mostly young. They are hardworking, conscientious and, very importantly to me, kind. Obviously, over the years the staff has turned over. But the quality of the employees and the product remains high regardless. This can't be an accident. Kudos to the owner. read more

I'd give this place 4 stars even 5 but they need to work on their customer service. I go pretty frequently and for the most part everything is good. They have a good menu, quality food, and pricing isn't crazy. Usually I'm helped by an older Japanese lady and she's great. She can be a little slow at times with the ordering system but she's very friendly, helpful and always in a good mood. The times when she's not at the register is when I see the true colors of the other workers. I get they're busy and it may not be "their job" to work the register but at least acknowledge me. A quick "be right with you", "sorry our cashier is cleaning dishes" or just a simple hello would go a long way. I work in a similar environment and whenever my cashier isn't present when a customer comes up I always let them know we'll be right with them. This isn't the first time this has happened to me which I why I decided to write a review. I'd brush it off but nothing has changed. I like laniKai juice and will continue to support them, I just want to see the workers smile a bit. read more
