Went back to Accapello today because the salmon was so good last time. Today as me and my 81 year old mother waited for out 2 orders of salmon a little boy ran screaming and jumping all thru the rows of tables and would stop at our table and stare at us and put things on the table. I asked to speak to the manager because we didn t feel like babysitting this child. A man comes over ( the owner) and says he's a working father if we don't like it we can leave. I asked if he was kicking us out and he said yes. He yelled across the restaurant to the server/ bartender not to serve us. Working father!? He owns a restaurant. Get a babysitter. You can afford it. I'm more worried about working mothers dude. He was sitting at a booth right there in the restaurant talking while this was all going on. There was only 1 other table in there. Now I see why. Shame tho. The salmon was really good the last time I was there. read more

So far so good , we have been here 4 times for take home pizza, every time it has been delicious, and every time I've stopped in to order all the staff has been outgoing and friendly . We recently (Sunday, April 28) had dinner at Acapella in Fallston. We had not been there in a while and were looking forward to it. We arrived at 8 PM and there was 1 table taken. We sat at the bar, ordered drinks and dinner, and chatted with the owner a bit. We had the Lasagna (above average) and the Bolognese (mediocre). It was when the bill came that things got interesting. There were 4 items on the bill. The two $8 per glass Chardonnay appeared on our bill at $11 each. The Server mumbled something about a "mistake." While she was fixing that "mistake" I checked the prices of our entrees. We were overcharged for BOTH of them as well. I did not know the price of the 4th item, so I accepted it as is. I asked to see the Owner and was told he had left. She called him and he called her back quickly. He chose not to speak to me and she didn't even relay an "I'm Sorry." Seems like a whole lot of "mistakes" for 4 items in an empty restaurant. The Moral - CHECK YOUR BILL IF YOU GO THERE. read more

What a wonderful find. While passing through Fallston this afternoon we needed to grab dinner. I saw this place a few years ago while passing through and made a note to stop in some time. Well tonight was that time and what a nice time it was. Seated immediately. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Beverages were brought quickly followed by fresh rolls. Nice selection on the menu. We ordered Frito Misto which is calamari. It was brought out quickly and was very good. Fresh, not rubbery. Dinner was chicken parmigiana for both of us. It was also brought out quickly but not too fast. The amount on the plate was great. We obviously had enough for a second meal. The marinara had the right flavor. Not too acidic. I know this place is new, but I won't be returning. The owners 5 year old child was running around, blowing out candles on the tables, and complaining to the waitstaff about how her father was being mean and wouldn't pay attention to her. It was as though the waitstaff was also responsible for babysitting her. A few tried to get her attention to pull her away from people dining, but to no avail. You can't order a glass of wine, you must order a bottle. What? The bread they bring out is tasteless, and when we asked for butter, it was unsalted. Strange. The service was verrrry slow. The waitress was excellent though, as well as the busboy refilling our drinks. It took about 45-60 minutes to receive our two orders of chicken parmesan. They don't give you anything with it, I feel as though a salad should come with this dish, especially when the dish is $15.95. When we asked the waitress, she informed us that they used to serve salad with the entrees, but it became too confusing, so they stopped. Salad was confusing? I don't understand...and if you're going to drop a side, you need to drop the price, too. The actual food was very bland. The chicken of our entrees was overcooked and dry. Totally not worth the money. Spend the ten minutes and drive to Enotria's, you'll at least get a decently priced meal that's nicely sized. read more

I like the ambiance and the people who work there. I'm usually disappointed in the food, mostly for price. Last evening we had take out. The Chesapeake Pizza had some shrimp, but we couldn't discern any other seafood. It was good, just felt like a price gouge. The Lasagna was delicious but perhaps the smallest piece of lasagna ever. I keep hoping the food will improve, but for now we will stick to Basta Pasta. read more

Another great experience- great food and great service! we came in without a reservation last week; the hostess set us up in a nice booth. We had Calamari, yummy fresh hot rolls with olive oil. For dinner i had the special - shrimp, scallops in a rose sauce. my husband has eggplant Parmesan. Both were excellent. Big portions also - took enough how for another meal. Bread pudding for dessert - had to take most home, and pistachio gelato. All was excellent. The owner was out in the dining room, checking with customers. Our waiter was Jeff; he did a nice job. The atmosphere of the place is average. A little dark for some people but enough light to see the menu. The food portion and the flavor of the food was very well balanced. We got several appetizers and they were all god. Specially the mussels and the shrimp dish. We asked for a bottle of red blend wine but they were out of it, they were able to match the price of it and recommend another wine that was still good for the table. Thank you for being accommodating. Our meals were also awesome. All of the pasta dishes we received were great and the pizza was amazing too. Few minor details they missed was water refills, they also could have checked l on the table a couple more times because we had 12 people. They also missed a few salads that came with the meal but I didn't say anything because we were so full from everything else. We will be back for another dinner there. Have been a repeat diner for several years. The service is always friendly and prompt. Servers are knowledgeable about nightly specials. Beer selection is very limited but they do have the usual brands, no tap. Food has always been good, served steaming hot and typically with appropriate portion sizes. read more

Acappella's is a hidden gem! I have fallen in love with this restaurant. I was born and raised in Europe (incl. Italian regions), so I had been searching high and low for authentic Italian food for over a year, especially Bolognese sauce. This place has it! Their menu is excellent! It has been awhile since I've dropped a review for Acappella, so I wanted to update! We frequent here every couple of months since we live nearby. As I said in my very first review, I wouldn't have given them six months in business when they first opened but they proved me wrong with really taking feedback and making the changes! Now, they are incredibly consistent with their food preparation and service. Last week, we had lasagna and eggplant parm. (I know it was July but sometimes you just need the comfort food!). Both were well prepared and very tasty! The portions are generous. The bruschetta is still our favorite app for the novel ingredients that really meld together - think olives not tomatoes. Stopped in for the first time last night. Place was busy, but we got a table quickly. Service was friendly and attentive, but not over powering. We had a fantastic meal at Acapella! The calamari was tender and light with a delicious homemade marinara sauce. The house dressing on the salads was also very tasty and freshly made! Our brick oven pizza was to die for- want to try them all next time- ha!! And our entrees of tortellini, spaghetti and meatballs; and rigatoni with bolognese sauce were all worth the trip!! Our server was polite and professional. Our hostess was poised & attentive- seating us immediately and checking back with us often. The owners are in the restaurant working- running the front of house and in the kitchen- truly a family run restaurant which is so nice!! This is a new restaurant- they are working out the kinks and getting their staff trained... so be patient with them- it's worth it. We are really looking forward to our next visit!!! read more

Now serving breakfast. We went this morning and the food was excellent. It was a ton of food and all home made. I got blueberry pancakes that we're no less than 10" in diameter with a ton of blueberries. The breakfast came with 5 strips of bacon, toast and homemade home fries and two eggs any style. KITCHEN STAFF HAS MASK ON THEIR CHINS. This place is full inside but I'd expect more from the kitchen staff of a restaurant during a world pandemic! Out of five kitchen staff I could see, four were either not covering their noses or both nose and mouth. This has been the case THREE times I've visited. Something needs to happen. Went for lunch. 16" pepperoni pizza , 2 sodas and tip about $25. Empty, clean, nice decor , good music fast service. Limited menu, normal prices. Nice looking bar area. Not sure how long before the Jinxed location will take its toll. I believe 14 failed restaurants here? Have to confirm that with the 7-11 guy, he knows, it used to be his store.
