Great authentic Mexican cuisine! The margaritas are good & the ones on special are never light on the tequila. Only "complaint" is the waiter forgot my 2nd margarita but honestly, I did not need it. The food was great! I ordered the "Little Bit of Everything" & it truly was that. It came on two plates! Definitely give this place a try, you will not be disappointed. This afternoon was the first time we have tried this restaurant. We have been searching for a decent local Mexican restaurant for years. Finally found this one. We ordered the chicken fajita quesadilla and carne azada. Both were good. We do have suggestions. Great Mexican flavor, reminds me of food I've experienced in my travels throughout Mexico. My wife and I been here a number of times but we hadn't tried the Fajita's until yesterday at lunch -- they were quite good. We went here with family from out of town expecting it to be a nice restauran. We walked in and we got seated but it was in the back of the restauran. We sat down and about 5 minutes later our waitress came. She took our drinks and 10 minutes later she brought them out. After ordering we waited 30 min to get our food. Me and my family members both had complely empty cup and she never came to refill them. She never came back to ask if we had anything , we had to ask her. Someone who wasn't even waiting our table came. Finally our food came and never once did she come over and ask if eveything was okay. During this time whenever she came over she had a very mad attitude and make it seem like we didn't matter has customers. After someone else came and got out plates, she didn't even come up to get out check. I had to ask her for them and then we waited 15 minutes for her to not pick them up and us to go up frout to pay. Went here due to both convenience and recommendations from the desk clerks at the hotel across the street. Was not disappointed in the least. Got the margarita special of the day. Which was only $2.49, and was pleasantly surprised, not top shelf by any means but certainly better than most "house" margaritas that are on the "special of the day board". Ordered a dinner combination plate which had more than enough food on it. Food tasted very fresh and flavorful. Honestly, the rice was better than my "go to" Mexican restaurant at home and I eat there sometimes as much as three times a week. All in all it was a great experience staff was top notch, service was prompt and professional, food was great, and the restaurant appeared clean...Five Stars all the way!!! Truly authentic food! Fast service, staff is always friendly. The shrimp and pineapple quesadilla is delicious and the floutas are spot on.

My wife and I are regulars here. The food and prices are similar to what you'd find at most Mexican restaurants, but the quality is above average and the staff is friendly. They play live music some nights and do trivia on others with no cover charge, so that is a plus. read more

The staff is nice and the service is prompt. As someone who has eating authentic Mexican food in various parts of Mexico and around the world. I am not sure where this food is from. The restaurant was pretty busy and our food was ready in like 5 to 7 minutes. That is just way too fast to be freshly prepared. Honestly it's just terrible. The salsa is definitely water down and from the taste of it it's probably ketchup. My son ordered a grilled steak quesadilla. A quesadilla is to tortillas melted together with toppings inside. He got a grilled tortilla with cheese and steak folded in half. That is not a quesadilla that is a taco and I guess possibly you could consider it a terribly rolled Burrito. I ordered the carne asada burrito there was absolutely nothing inside it other than meat. No tomatoes no onions and no guacamole. I like to give everything a fair chance. We walked in and were greeted by an old face from another restaurant from years ago. This put me at ease....however it would be the last positive thing. It took 10+ minutes to receive two cokes. We placed our orders after receiving drinks. 40+ minutes no food...not one drink refill or a visit from anyone. I notified the cashier of our dilemma, as she was the only person around. She offered so solution, just a stare of a goat. As an overall experience, Acapulco is my favorite Mexican restaurant in town. Comparatively, I think their prices beat Pancho's and Tito's, for one, but I don't have any statistics to back this up. Maybe the items I order are just cheaper here or that I just order cheap in general! Price aside though, this place is never cram-packed or loud and obnoxious like Tito's and the service is amazing, unlike at Pancho's. The laidback atmosphere is very enjoyable and the friendly staff always immediately correct any issues with the orders (sometimes, they have brought me the wrong order or maybe forgot to include something about it, but they are SUPER fast about it and very nice). You can also get in and out of here pretty quickly, if you want a nicer, delicious meal, without spending all evening waiting for it. Definitely a favorite go-to place in the evenings when I don't want to be overcrowded and bombarded by loud music. read more

My wife and I have tried every Mexican restaurant in Spring Hill multiple times but Acapulco is our favorite by far. I'm a business owner and often treat clients to dinner here if Mexican is their choice. The food is excellent and usually served quickly.. Portions are more than generous. Upon being seated your waiter or waitress brings water, a basket of chips, and a small pitcher of salsa. Each person has their own bowl and you pour salsa from the pitcher. No worries about double-dipping! The prices are fair but for some reason they vary even when we get the same items as our previous visit. Our bill can range anywhere from $23 to $27, but I find that to be true of most of the Mexican places in town. The staff is friendly. I've had maybe two visits where the service was just okay but never rude and my drink usually stays full. You want a good tip from me? Don't let my glass get empty. The atmosphere could be better but that's true of all the Mexican places in town as well. They're a bit bland. Acapulco does have live music on some nights and trivia nights so the atmosphere isn't non-existent but far from authentic. Of course if you want authentic go to Mexico. If Columbia is as far south as you're willing to travel then I'd recommend Acapulco. read more

They have very good food and drinks at reasonable prices. The reason they did not get 5 stars is when they are extremely busy they struggle mightily. Fast service, delicious food, and a friendly staff. The atmosphere is as nice as any other in Spring Hill and can be quiet if you don't go on a weekend. Speaking of weekends, I wish the lunch prices applied then. The re fried beans are delicious as is the chips and salsa and most everything else. I like the food better than Panchos and the staff has been friendlier in my experience. The food is quite a bit cheaper (you get more for your money it seems) than at Taco Express and probably comparable to Panchos. This is currently my favorite Mexican place in Spring Hill. read more
