Guacamole is to die for!!! I had the Asado Tacos-they were good. Rest of the ordered food looked tasty. Server, Juan Carlos was amazing! So attentive, unlike the host and waitress. The waitress only took our order then never saw her again. Host didn't greet us at all-spent a few minutes counting cash-didn't acknowledge us-no "hi, welcome be right with you" nothing! 1st words out of her mouth were "how many." No eye contact, no "enjoy!" Nothing! We followed her to the table, she dropped the menus and left-felt she was somewhat rude. Ambiance was cute, very traditional. Only reason I'll be back is for their guacamole! read more

As someone born and raised on authentic Mexican cuisine, I don't say this lightly -- Don Arturo's is easily top three in all of Middle Tennessee when it comes to flavor, price, and real-deal Mexican food. I've tried plenty of spots across town, but few deliver the consistency, seasoning, and value this place does. Their tortilla soup (pictured) is absolutely packed with flavor, and the chips and salsa are always fresh -- no shortcuts here. Everything tastes like it was made with care and real ingredients. It also has a cozy, local vibe -- definitely feels like a spot where regulars come to eat, which I always appreciate. Now, let's be honest: the ambiance doesn't match the food. During one visit, some of the servers were tremendously louder than the guests, which threw off the atmosphere a bit. But even with that, the food spoke louder -- and won. This place was hopping! Got to our table and waitress was right there, took our drink orders and was back in a flash. We ordered the Best Arturo and it did not disappoint. It has shrimp, beef and chicken with all kinds of vegetables. It came out sizzling and smelled so good. There was so much food and we shared this meal. Have enough for lunch next day. It was a bit noisy but it was a good buzz with all the people in there. The prices are unbelievable we couldn't believe it. Go for happy hour. Jumbo margarita $5.07, 20 ounce draft Pacifico $3.24. Just wished we lived closer since we are here on vacation. Great place !!!!! read more

I'm so glad we tried this restaurant. First of all their horchata was great. It's sad when you go to a Mexican restaurant and they sit don't have horchata. Second, their cheese dip is great, it's both spicy and flavorful. I ordered the steak and chicken fajitas and it was seasoned very well and came with a side of rice, beans, tortillas, guac and pico. Our group also ordered a fajita quesadilla, mixed fajita plate with veggies, shrimp quesadilla and 3 chicken tamales. We had 5 dinners for about $80. This will probably be our new go to mexican restaurant. read more

I took my family and parents here to eat dinner. My wife and I have two small children. While taking my son to the bathroom, an employee for the restaurant was vaping in the stall, and attempting to blow it up the vent. As the clouds billowed around the room (it was a lot), I couldn't help but notice this was not tabacco vapor, and quite dangerous for me and my three year old son to be inhaling. Needless to say, I will never return to this restaurant. Be careful in the restroom! Maybe skip it entirely if you have kids. read more

I am from Southern California so Mexican food is my favorite and I was little worried about moving to TN and how the Mexican food would be. This place made me not have to worry anymore. The chips and salsa are very good. The salsa has a great taste. The salsa verde was so good it was fresh and spicy. I got the carne asada burrito and it was aweosme. The flavor and tenderness. The rice and beans are very flavorable as well. The house margaritas also were very good and didn't taste it came from a mix. It tasted freshly made. I will be a regular here read more

My wife and I are always looking for places to try that are either new or new to us. We were in Spring Hill and decided to give Don Arturo's a go. Good decision! We were seated promptly and served chips and salsa almost immediately after sitting down. Our server was at our table less than a minute later for drink orders. We both ordered a Jumbo House Margarita and they were delicious! Plus, we discovered it was happy hour, so the drinks were half price. My wife ordered combination chicken & steak fajitas. I opted for a combination plate - burrito, enchilada, and tamale, with rice & beans. The food was delivered to our table less than 10 minutes after ordering. We were shocked it came out so quickly. Everything was hot and very tasty. The only minor negative thing I'll say is that the salsa was not spicy enough, but otherwise this was a great experience. And the prices are exceptional. Our entire dinner, with the 2 Jumbo Margaritas was only $41! If you're looking for good Mexican food at great prices in Spring Hill, then I highly recommend checking out Don Arturo's. read more

This is an authentic Mexican restaurant in the heart of Spring Hill ( next door to church of the city ) I highly recommend the shrimp tacos. The chimichangas are the bomb as well. Their white cheese dip and salsa is excellent. Service was fast and helpful. The restaurant is decorated with Mexican art and dim lighting. I totally enjoyed my dinner. read more

I don't get it. You're welcome to discount this review by a Texan, perhaps I need to stop using familiar tex-mex as my base of expectations. Arturo's was packed early evening on a Tuesday (maybe taco Tuesday is a thing?). It felt pretty authentic, nearly every person on staff was Hispanic and Telemundo was on the bar tv. Arturo's also scores a lot of rave reviews. So I can't say it's not popular, and I can't say it's not authentic, but the food is just not very good. Salsa came in a cute little carafe, and the chips were ok. The queso (sorry, it's called "cheese dip" here) is fine, particularly after it cools off a little and is thicker. Perhaps tacos and enchiladas are not what to order here. They come out fast, basic and bland. Maybe I should give Arturo's another shot from the "specialties" section of the menu. This place is fantastic. Probably the best Mexican food I've had since coming to TN from.... California... My waiter, Carlos, was awesome. I got the Cali burrito which was good enough for me to totally ignore the fact that Don Arturo's, like pretty much everywhere here, doesn't fully enclose the burrito; one has to eat it with a knife and fork. The cheese sauce is a trap. Get it grilled, without that goop, and it'll knock your socks off. read more

The food is always good. Service is fast and the drinks are never empty. They are always busy but the wait is never long. It's a little loud at times but everyone in the place seems to enjoy themselves. I truly enjoy taking my TN grandkids here for their favorite dishes. read more

If you or your party have allergies, stay away from here. My wife has a severe lettuce allergy - strange, but true - so, we told our waitress about it and told her that we didn't want any lettuce on her tacos or on her plate. Well, thank God she looked before she took a bite because there were multiple pieces of lettuce in her tacos. I spoke to the manager and let him know that the kitchen really needs to be careful when people have allergies, especially when they're anaphylactic in nature, and he said "oh, I'm sorry" and proceeded to remove one of her tacos (which she didn't even eat) off of the bill. After 10yrs of avoiding this place I was asked to try it again. Not sure if it has changed owners or mgmt. But seems they have figured out how to cook food with flavor in a good way and service was not bad. Had the three seafood tacos special. One fried fish, one shrimp & scallops and final one was listed as crab. What came out for these crab tacos was a crab cake placed on a taco. I would never order the crab taco again. Not even sure if it even had crab with all the filler breading within it and so much oil left within it after they fried it. The fish taco, fried and crispy like it was done on a flat grill versus deep fried was way too greasy and really fishy tasting. I will say the shrimp & scallop was taco had good taste and flavor. I would order this taco again. Rice and refried beans were good but nothing special. But this gave me hope to try again versus waiting another ten years. So not bad Don Arturo's this time around. read more
