I was given an excellent variety of bricks/blocks to choose for the wall, and the one I chose was competently installed. I was pleased to note the block I chose would be sourced from RCP in Chula Vista, where I have been a regular customer. The two workers agreed to relocate the existing pavers for my reuse as part of the original job. I really appreciated that. Although I was in no hurry, the job was completed quite expeditiously with the exception of the iron gate, the installation of which was subcontracted (and reviewed separately). The final results please me immensely. A&F solved a major problem, and I recommend the company to all.

For the amount of money we invested, that level of customer service is unacceptable. Very disappointing experience overall. SD Paverscapes was one of three paver contractors we contacted. Luis was quick to respond and listened to our ideas. He provided us with a plan we loved and a price we could handle. The installation crew was absolutely first rate. It was a pleasure to watch craftsmen apply their skills! The result is fabulous! Honestly, it turned out better than we had imagined! As with ALL contractors, you - as the client - need to always be communicating with Luis. We made slight modifications to our original plan as the work progressed, but they all were fine because we were in constant dialog with Luis.

When they replaced the fence (between us and our neighbor), they did not put the fence back in its original position, leaving a gap on the ground on our side of the fence which is very ugly. Also they undid/pulled out part of our turf (which they said went over the neighbor's side) - they did not ask for permission or talk to us ahead of time before they did this and changed our hardscape design. They just pulled it out and cut part of it. When they put the turf back, it was so uneven and poorly placed back, like they do not know what they were doing. It was now bumpy and not of the same height as the other side (it was slightly curved downward prior) now it is more flat. We notified our neighbors about this but nothing was done to fix it. This company is very unprofessional and would not recommend.

I had been looking for the right company for a while until I found Meidan through my neighbors. From our first meeting I felt like I could really trust him. They helped design the plans, handled the city permits, and once the work started everything moved incredibly fast. Buyer beware. We feel catfished by this company. First you will meet Seth , nice person, promise…read moreyou everything 100% . He says he's the manager / foreman and will manage the project and communicate . Never saw Seth again after signing. Maiden shows up , doesn't explain he is the owner and he doesn't know all the things discussed or agreed to. This guy takes over the project , a simple fence around the property. He forgets to fill gaps below the fence, forgot to finish the fence in an area I couldn't see when checking it and our dog got out through an area he left open. Put the post in The wrong place to support a gate, that he forgot to install , so now the gate is an afterthought, oblong and drags, the hardware is stripped in many places and already showing signs of wear , used the wrong materials to build the other gate (ie wrong post material and tried to hide it ) and I figured it out and they had to completely redo that gate. They drilled the holes in The wrong place into the stucco of our home and left the holes unfilled until I pointed it out. Forgot to finish the framing of our closet door not too mention put in the wrong doors as we were promised frosted doors, we had to order our own door that he swapped out only to use the wrong hinges and had to replace those. Numerous issues with garbage and damage. Forgot to remove the old non working intercom system which was promised by Seth to be done while painting this was not honored by Maiden. Maiden even had the Gaul to tell my wife she should have flown down to the site more often to manage his people. Excuse me?! The house was not done on time in fact we have been living here three weeks and they still aren't done. I keep finding more problems that I will need another contractor to fix because Maiden doesn't seem capable. I have pictures and videos I can share with anyone considering using Maiden, I would highly suggest you look elsewhere but if you do use him, plan to do all of the quality control as he does not have anyone and he is not objective to do himself. We spent a couple extra thousand due to delays because there was not enough manpower available to complete on time even though we had a buffer of a week, Maiden had other priorities.The family including pets had to stay 3 days in hotel, movers, U-Haul , pod and cleaners charged rescheduling fees. We were never a priority even at the end when we moved in, as I said they are still fixing things. Lastly we spent 2500 to have cleaners come clean the house when they were "done" painting. After having the house cleaned Maiden had his team inside the home cutting and sanding, closet doors that should have been installed earlier but were put off to the end. instead of doing that work outside they caused another dust storm. He apologized after I made him aware, then he did it again. I have videos more pictures and copies of texts. Oh to put icing on the cake... Maiden yelled at me stating that we used cheap vinyl materials for the fence and he would never have used vinyl he would have used cedar. Keep in mind his catfisher Seth said vinyl was a good choice, low maintenance, would last longer and the county might even give a rebate for using fire resistant material.... Never once was cedar proposed as an option or quoted......Thanks Maiden for telling that you used crappy material on the project!
