We had a few companies come out for estimates, and we chose Evo because of how well they were able to convey the changes needed... Being an engineer I always want to know how systems work. Evo diagramed how they would extend my heating system to include central air and I could tell he knew his trade very well and had lots of experience. He was very honest and open with me through the whole process and even let me visit a current job so I could see first hand their level of quality. On the job I visited, and on the work he did at my house, everything was top notch. We went with the slim fit condenser unit and we've gone through 3 summers with no issues. EVO AIR just replace my 12 year old traditional water heater with a tankless (Navien NPE-240A) with a recirculating valve. I had gotten multiple quotes and their prices are extremely competitive. Ivaylo the business owner is extremely responsive and came out with his master plumber for the initial quote. My existing water heater was in the garage next to an hold HVAC system. The two of them came up with a great design plan for the tankless install while also considering the future work for the HVAC install. On the day of the install, the same two people came out along with a third and got the job done in 4-5 hrs. It was comforting having the same people providing the quote as the ones that are actually doing the work. They provided updates along the process to ensure things would be installed the way I wanted and couldn't be more pleased with their work. We needed a tankless water heater installed and could not be happier with EVO AIR from start to finish. Professional, experienced, good price, they go above and beyond, etc. At the very least you should reach out for a quote to see for yourself. We got a quote from our go-to plumber (they are awesome) for installing Navien NPE-240A2 with some options. We found EVO AIR on Navien's website as a certified installer to get a competitive quote. EVO AIR was significantly better on price, but also explained all the same options in more detail. Our water tank area shares a thin wall with our living room so day of installation they ran to home depot to get some extra materials to add spacing when I mentioned my concern. Definitely going above and beyond. On top of that they came back a few days later with some new pipe fittings to rehook where our desalination and tankless were draining to be more flush with the wall at no charge (we have a odd/tight setup with a desalination system all packed into the same area). Again above and beyond. The installation day itself was seamless, they were on time, walked through the options and how it would look before doing it, efficient, etc and it looks great. Evo came out and did an evaluation of our system when I was buying the home and I used the information to try and negotiate with the seller. The report was good and the diagnostics performed and the information contained in the report were very good. Ultimately, we got a bid and we moved forward 5 months after the bid. His bid was about 50% of a competing bid we received. Still, after 5 months the price did not change. I called Evo and he was temporarily out of the country, but he still responded quickly and even ordered the equipment at that time. I was immediately contacted as soon as he returned. The system was installed within one week. He worked with our schedule and made the installation only during the times we were home because of our preference for that. He did little extras at no extra fee. They even used a long padded runner that covered the floor so that the hardwood floor would not be damaged while they took out the old furnace and put in the new one. He provided a solution for our under deck AC unit that others did not even consider. I highly recommend these services for: price; quality and overall service level. read more

Our AC unit broke down right before a heat wave. Thank god Ivaylo at EVO was quick to respond and come check it out. He was able to fix it, but it did stop working again a week later. He then again quickly responded and fixed it. Unfortunately, it wasn't blowing cold air, so he came back a few hours later to fix it again at no charge. My HVAC system completely stopped working. Evo diagnosed this in a systematic manner, first by bypassing the thermostat and showing that the fan, AC, and heater all worked separately using jumper wires. His initial thought was faulty wires to the thermostat (24V at HVAC system - 0V at thermostat). After checking the wiring in the attic was ok, his next thought was the condensate pump. This turned out to be faulty and overfilled with water, which automatically shut down the HVAC system voltage (to prevent water leakage). He was responsive and his repair charge was reasonable. I would call Evo again, if I have any more HVAC issues. read more

It isn't often I write a review without being asked, but EVO AIR did something that I think it rare these days. I hadn't had my heating and air conditioning system at my rental property in Rancho Penasquitos checked in too many years to admit, and so I asked my longstanding and trusted plumber if he knew anyone and he recommended EVO AIR and specifically Ivaylo Enchev to call. I contacted Ivaylo and he told me that a service call/inspection would be $49.50 which seemed reasonable so I had him set up an appointment with my tenant. The result of the inspection was that the unit was working fine, but was almost 26 years old at this point, and that he thought then when it did have problems the best thing to do would be to replace it. At my request, he also said he would send me a estimate for what it would cost for a new system when that time finally came. Additionally, he showed my tenant how to replace the filters on the heating system so that he could do it himself. But the part that I was not expecting was that he told me there was no work to be done, so he did not charge me anything even though I am sure he spent at least an hour or more at the property. I would have gladly paid him for his time, but what Ivaylo secured with his act of kindness was a lifetime of loyalty from me. Like I said, he did not ask me to write this.
