Before I purchased our Bryant Furnace and A/C system, we had listened to several sales presentations. By the time Ginno arrived we were pretty savvy about the technical requirements and pricing we were looking for. Ginno's presentation (minor accent and all) was the best of the lot and his technical knowledge was superior to any of the reps we had heard. In fact, he allayed one fear that we had that our current copper piping to the external unit was too small (3/4 vs. the required 7/8). At least two previous reps from other companies had told us that we would have to run new pipe from the furnace to the compressor. Ginno immediately discovered that the correct size pipe run all the way to within 3 feet of the compressor, where it was wrongly downsized for final connection. His prior work as technician served him well in his analysis of installation requirement. Ginno's pricing quotes were presented in clear and concise fashion with a full explanation of rebates and federal tax reduction. When I asked for pricing on a different combination of furnace and a/c, he submitted one within minutes by email. During final negotiation he responded quickly and positively to two other(minor) changes in the proposal. Ginno met the installation technician and crew at our house to review all the requirements of the contract, locations of units and numerous details involved with the job. He returned several times during installation checking on progress, assisting the installers as necessary and inspecting final product. The entire experience convinced me that Atlas HVAC has top-notch employees. I was very impressed with Professionalism, Technical knowledge of the Product, Customer interface and insure job satisfaction. It was pleasure to work with such a professional. If you value your sanity and you don't want to have a substandard, shoddy  job, keep away from Atlas! Atlas was the worse and most unprofessional and inept company I have ever dealt with.  Unfortunately, our homeowners warranty co. subcontracted out our job for a new condenser and to seal our attic ducts to Atlas, so we had no choice. The nightmare of trying to work with Atlas lasted six weeks. When Atlas finally installed the condenser, they forgot/neglected to seal the ducts. We have 18 solar panels, so prior to Atlas messing up, our electric bills were under $50/month. But because Atlas was negligent and did such a sloppy job, our a/c bills were now hundreds of dollars higher because, thanks to Atlas neglecting to seal the ducts, we were now air-conditioning our ATTIC instead of our house. We asked Atlas multiple times to come back and seal the ducts, but they refused.  So they forced us to have to hire and pay someone else to seal the ducts, when Atlas was supposed to have done that to begin with.   ---------------- Here is the report from the HERS inspector who inspected Atlas' work:        "During my visual inspection, I came across some areas of concern. This system had several areas that were left unsealed. The collars connecting to the Plenum are not sealed. This does include all Supplies and return. However, the return coming off the wall on the attic side was also needs some additional sealing. When looking at the photo, you can see about a quarter-inch gap between the 2 x 4 and the drywall that allows air leakage. Upon moving the supply register, I noticed that the boots were not sealed. Please seal the crack around the boot that meets the drywall." read more

Vadim A. at Atlas HVAC installed my heater about 2 years ago. This year I had Vadim and the Atlas team install air conditioning. As promised, the heater easily accepted the installation of the air handler. I'm not a HVAC guy, but here's what I can say: I got 4 proposals. Not all included what you need to have done. ATLAS DID. Some neglected things like permits, the energy inspection, ducting if required, etc. Don't be fooled, you must get a permit and you must pass the California leak test. Not leak test, no permit. No permit, it's not code. If not code, good luck selling or take the risk of legal action should something go wrong...like a fire due to improper electrical work. Atlas provided the BEST VALUE because Vadim provide the, "All In" price. The install was one day and the team was courteous, professional, clean and did an outstanding job. The inspectors took about 20 minutes to inspect the workmanship and paperwork. PASS, no problem. So, if you are looking for the best value and no nonsense HVAC, I recommend giving Vadim a call to quote your job. He's not going to be your, "friend" (the, "Bro Discount"), tell you and show you his custom pool or discount the job because you don't need no inspection. Oh, there aren't any ex-pro football player gloves either. Vadim will provide not only the, "All In" pricing, but give you his certificate of insurance for both liability and workers compensation. So, get at least 3 proposals and see for yourself. Do your homework. Evaluate, and if you decide there's a better deal due to shortcuts, be advised it may not end up as you expected...I chose Vadim and Atlas and am very happy. So is my wife...happy life. read more

Our AC stopped putting out cold air early Friday morning and I quickly looked at Yelp for HVAC companies with good reviews and came across Atlas HVAC. I called and spoke with Gino and explained we had a 6 month year old and this weekend was going to be extremely hot and it would be a great burden on our baby with it being so hot in the middle of the night. Gino said their Friday schedule was full; however, because of our situation he would look at their schedule and call me back to try and have Vadim stop and fix our AC by end of day (up until 8pm- really?- WOW!). To my surprise, Gino called me back within 15 minutes and said he explained the situation to Vadim and he would work later if necessary and be at our house by 8pm that night. I was happy considering it was the weekend and this was our only shot at having cool air until Monday. Vadim called me later in the day to confirm he would be at our house by 8pm and at 7:45pm I received his call saying he was pulling up to our house. Vadim quickly checked our system, took the AC outer panel off and quickly discovered and fixed the AC within 15 minutes. He also checked the Refrigerant/Freon to make sure it would continue to work efficiently. He was extremely thorough in his work and I feel absolutely confident in recommending Atlas HVAC to any homeowner in need. These guys say what they are going to do, treat your property as if it was their own and moreover are "Reasonably Priced". Atlas HVAC is the best company I've worked with in nearly 25 years of owning my condo. They've always replied promptly to my calls and then schedule a service within a day or so of calling. They serviced my furnace and A/C units annually and then after the service this past winter they said the furnace was not going to last much longer. Which it didn't and I was actually conducting Open House events to sell the condo so when I called Atlas it was imperative that I get the unit replace ASAP and they were here the next morning, the unit was replace quickly, cleanly early that afternoon. They connected me with an inspector that came the next day and everything was approved immediately. Finally, the night before last I called with a minor urgent need and they were here mid-morning yesterday, fixed the problem . . . at no charge . . . and once again proved why the 5-Star rating because Atlas HVAC is "as good as it gets." We needed help balancing the a/c, which was not cooling our master bedroom. There was a noticeable difference between the temperatures in the other rooms and it. We called in Atlas HVAC, which gave us a same day scheduled visit. Zach arrived and diagnosed our problem, which signficantly improved the a/c's performance. When the next hot days arrived, we still noticed a difference, though the room was noticeably cooler than before Zach's visit. We scheduled another re-visit, which was scheduled for the following morning of our call. Zach arrived at the earlier part of the estimated interval (9AM) for his visit and spent a good half hour to 40 minutes going through the details of how the system worked and what we needed to do to achieve maximum performance. He also checked to make sure that all the output vents and the "take out" vent were functioning efficiently. He reset the filter for the "take out" shaft. Most of the time, I love owning my own home. The times I don't, however, are when my wife and I returned from a trip, coincidentally on the hottest day of the year, only to find that the air conditioning wouldn't turn on. Through the sweat dripping down my face, I found the number for Atlas HVAC and called them to see if they could save us from death by heat. These people are FAST! Literally 30 minutes after I hung up the phone, the Atlas repair guy was ringing our door bell. I don't remember the last time a repair man surprised me by being exceptionally punctual and, to top it all off, he was also very courteous and obviously knew a lot about his trade. He found the problem with the air conditioner quickly and had it up and running about 20 minutes later. Relief! Great company and great people. Vadim was very responsive and trustworthy. I highly recommend Atlas HVAC. About Pricing: I got several quotes and Atlas lined up well with all legitimate quotes. They offered the lowest price and highest in material - the AC unit I got was the next level tier, higher and better model grade than the other quotes I received. The noise level is 68db, instead of 72 db. I never hear the AC conductor go off. Vadim stands out to me as an upright vendor; he told me that I needed to fix up the Flue pipe in the garage in order to bring my setup to code. Professional and complete work: the other HVAC quotes simply offered to replace the AC and furnace without fixing the Flue pipe. I knew the flue pipe need to be updated since SDG&E had told me that in future, it needed to be updated. On the day of the job, his team arrived on time and finished promptly as predicted. Atlas HVAC is fantastic! Our A/C went out in the middle of a heatwave, making our house virtually uninhabitable. Our home warranty company dispatched ATLAS to diagnose and repair the problem. We were extremely pleased when Gianno came to work on our A/C. He was extremely honest, thorough, and professional. He diagnosed the problem and was honest about the issues with our A/C, as well as realistic about how long we could expect it to take for the part to be ordered and replaced. The folks at Atlas HVAC did a great job on replacing our heater. They worked very fast and effective while we had family in town for the week. They worked with me in this tough economic time in terms of pricing and fees. Also, they were very professional and developed a nice rapport with me when moving through the process. The heater works great, we had a small gas leak issue immediately after it was installed and as soon as we realized it, Atlas came out the next day to fix it and everything is fine now. Used Atlas HVAC for repairing the A/C which went bad during the recent heat wave. Atlas HVAC technician was able to support the service call in 1 day. Technician came within the defined window and was quick on eliminating the issue and explained that the capacitor has went bad due to high humidity. He did have a spare part and replaced that quickly, he also helped me putting tape around the cables which were coming loose. Overall happy with the experience, but thought was little expensive. Replacing a capacitor should not cost more that $200. However he was frank and explained that this is due to other overheads which come with running a company. read more

I have two condos in one building. Both units' heating/AC systems were not working. My neighbor used ATLAS and was very satisfied. They came when they said they would, diagnosed one system as dead and the other just needing a new fuse. I arranged to get the dead system replaced. They did it in a day! Again the two very professional and proficient technicians came when they said [a trait not shared by all service people].
