Over priced and taking advantage of senior citizens. ACE attempted to charge over $1,000 to replace a capacitor. The work takes about 30 minutes and the part is less than $20.00! Then when I tried to cancel the service they charged me $650.00 for a "restocking" fee. I am a senior on a fixed income and I don't have that kind of money to throw around. This company is the worst. They took advantage of the weather conditions when my mom's ac went out.. charged her $15,000 for a new unit. Definition of price gouging. The ac stopped working within 6 months. Called them back, they quoted her $1,500 to fix, while still under warranty. Got a second opinion the next day, a total of $80 to fix the blown fuse. (Ace wanted $1,500 for this). What a rip off. There's a special place for people like this and none of the fuses work there . read more

DO NOT go with this company. Please feel free to reach out to me personally if you'd like more info. Hired them to install a 2.5 ton condenser. A 2.5 ton condenser was promised, but they installed a 2 ton condenser instead. They will be in contact with you either by phone or text when they want your $$, but as soon as you have issues for them to correct due to their negligence, it is way more difficult to get a hold of them. We had AC working for about 2 days, and that is it, when we were promised we would have a working AC. We paid $5600 which means we paid $2800 for AC per day. Please be careful. read more

I was charged $900 to flush and clean the coils on a 2 ton unit, they were supposed to clean the coils on my fan coil as well but refused. I cannot recommend Ace for any services. In fact it took them two trips to clean the condenser, because they didn't take off the cover the first time. read more

Extremely disappointed with this company. Purchased an entire air & heating system from Ace back in 2021 and now can't even get their servicemen to do a routine maintenance. Called numerous times and scheduled appointments. Both last year and this year, staff ended up as no shows. Spoke recently to office staff, Brenda and Ariel. Both ladies continued to give runaround . No follow-up calls after no shows. Therefore, ended up taking our business elsewhere. ***Important to note: Back in 2021, gave 3 quality referrals/ neighbors that purchase expensive equipment. For all the home owners out there maintenance is a must for your AC. I recently had Ace company come out and do a maintenance on my ac. I didn't really do one when I first moved in cause of personal issues, buuuut I call ACE and spoke with Rosa she was sweet she explained everything that we will be getting in our maintenance for a good price which was not a bad deal especially if your in a budget like I was. So she scheduled me in for a next day which was great cause all the other companies told me 2 weeks out. Andrew came great guy he really gave us the step by step on what's going on with our AC unite cause we had explained there was not enough cold air in certain areas of our home, he checked out the AC and told us we had a bad leak that's why we weren't getting much cold air in our home. He gave us an estimate on what could be done which was not bad the company was welling to negotiate the price which helped alot cause we have so much payments and we weren't sure if we can afford it so thank you sean for understanding our situation. So we end up charging up our AC unit but he hit a bump Andrew had informed us that there's a big leak and he had to call his supervisor Abe he such a fantastic guy came by and checked with the leak and basically told us our AC is done, kaput.we can charge up the AC but it wouldn't hold cause of the leak and gave us suggestions on replacing the AC unit because ours was 30 years old. After hard consideration we decided on replacing our unit and signed up the payment plans they suggested to us. Which was not as bad as we thought Abe was really thorough on explaining everything, gave use a really good deal I was so overwhelmed with the thought of having no AC for the 3rd year. ACE company did helped us A LOT we are truly grateful and appreciative for hours of help. They were so quick to install as well they came the next day and did it all in half of days work. My mom purchased a brand new unit about 2-3 years ago. Beginning of July the air stopped working. Call of course it's something not under warranty fine the blower went out first the quote was about 15-1600 talk them down to 1100 (first red flag). Cool because it's 100 degrees with four young kids, what choice do i really have? Ok air working fine again! Fast forward 3 weeks later air stop working again. I call still in good spirits because hey this time it's under warranty should be easy peasy! But nooooo this time some piece needs to be replaced ( you didn't see that piece 3 weeks ago) not to mention before he left i asked him to check everything else. Ok so piece is under warranty however labor price will be $900 GTFOH!!! First i just paid $1100 3 weeks ago also I'm not paying $900 for nothin under warranty because at this point you still charging me for something under warranty is all im hearing. I politely declined services because at this point next month it'll be something for $3000 & no I'm good! Fast forward i called Stewart air & conditioning (shoutout to them) came in and no lie 5 minutes later he said ALL DONE ! You can imagine the look on my face after that I said what happen?! He said it's fixed you just had some loose plugs and the caps were off the valves. So my question to you Ace is why do you think it's ok to overcharge loyal customers? Because of the heat my baby who is non verbal and really couldn't tell me his pain level had 3 nose bleeds this morning because Ace wanted to make an extra dollar. However I hope if you choose ace your experience will be better because mines was terrible and i don't feel like i deserved that ! read more

We'd admittedly been putting off some major maintenance with our Air Conditioning, but with the summer inbound, we started looking around, and found ACE. I have a general policy of looking at a group I might do business with not by their glowing reviews, but by the lower grades - 1-2 stars. Why did this happen? And, in truth, how often? In this case, dear reader, if you use the same measure, ACE can be judged fairly with this metric - Not because they have so many bad reviews, but because of how little that happens. Michael showed up to our house promptly and immediately got to work with his diagnosis of our system. As we suspected, there were several services recommended, but Michael, in presenting our options, was never pushy - He made it clear that our system was still working, but that the services were still highly recommended to ensure our systems longevity. Allow me to focus on Michael for a moment: That polite professionalism continued through the whole experience, where he patiently explained his reasoning for his service recommendations, even going as far as to not only show me directly where the problems were (and what to look for!) but to thoroughly document what he had found as a good reference point for later. He also was very good at ensuring his explanations were easy to follow and understand - a skill within a technical trade, to be sure! He made the entire service process a pleasure, and I can confidently say that I look forward to working with him in the future. After confirming our repairs, he returned within two days. On arrival, he ran through the planned repairs one last time, got to work and was done in just about two hours! Our AC is running in peak condition, and I am one cool customer. read more

This is an update on this company. They do great at the start but follow up or returning service when there is a problem they are terrible. I have called twice with a problem and am yet to hear back from them. After over $1300, my AC is still having issues, and no one will return my calls or come out. I'm very disappointed. My father is a retired appliance guy, and he never did this to his customers. read more

DO NOT BOTHER with this company, not even for an emergency. The only thing they care about is upselling for things you don't even need. Long story short, we had an AC part go out. It took 4 hours to diagnose the issue & they didn't even have the part nor the correct tools to fix said part. The next day when the repair was supposed to be completed, they did not reach out to me & could not confirm a window of time to return. These guys are lowlife, dishonest salesman who aren't even capable of sending an invoice to their customers. They could care less about providing service & as soon as you don't agree to spend a bunch of money on replacement parts, they discard you. They will try to take advantage of you and have a whole script they follow where a technician can't fix the issue, then a cheesy supervisor, Duke, shows up like he owns the place to try to upsell you, and it goes on and on. I can not express enough how BAD & dishonest these guys are....look elsewhere for AC service or you will end up regretting it. We thought that this was a reputable company. At first when making a service appointment they sent a technician out within a day. We had some issues with our old AC and Furnace and decided to go with new equipment. They were quick to send someone out and get us signed up with a contract for the new units and quick to get them installed for us, great! We were impressed. Unfortunately one of the installers accidentally stepped through the ceiling and put a large hole in it which caused a ton of insulation to fall through and covered the entire couch and family room/kitchen. We understand that it was an accident but the mess that was left behind was unacceptable. We asked them to please send out someone to clean but they only had the installer try to quickly clean as good as he could. After many calls and un-returned call backs and being told that someone already contacted me when nobody had at all, we spent many hours cleaning the room. After a week and a half they sent someone out to repair the drywall. Then a few days later the A/C started making some loud noises and we placed a service call to have them come to check it out. It's been 6 days now and nobody has even called us back to schedule an appointment for the service call. We have called everyday and being told someone will call us or that someone called and we did not answer. Nobody has called or left a voicemail. Save yourself the hassle and go with another company that stands behind their service. read more
