He reaches out and asked I send photos (which I already sent the day of the repairs). He called me the next morning, but maybe that's because I threatened to report this horrible job to the BBB. He didn't even apologize or elect to discuss the repairs or my concerns just scheduled a time to fix the poor job. To my surprise he sends the SAME handyman to come back out. Same handyman came back out and was defensive about his poor work and overall this made it a very uncomfortable situation. He fixed his sloppy work which was better. Sure. Was it amazing, not really but way better than his first job. Did the owner ever follow up after that? Nope! Does it seem like he cares, not at all. Honestly a good business owner would address the concerns in a timely manner and maybe even come out himself to fix the sloppy job but I guess he's too busy turning and burning jobs. We had a terrible experience with Darin and would never recommend him…read more We hired Darin because the shower in our primary bedroom was leaking into the downstairs living room. The shower and pipes were very old, so we decided to do a complete remodel of the bathroom: new tub, new toilet, replacing the tile flooring with LVP, repainting, etc. He also agreed to remove the carpet in the bedroom and replace it with LVP, and he promised to repair the downstairs ceiling damage from the leaks. The workmanship was shockingly poor from start to finish. He didn't install water-resistant drywall behind the shower wall unit, which is a basic requirement for bathroom installations to prevent water intrusion, mold, and long-term structural damage. In fact, he didn't install anything at all behind the shower wall unit. Instead of properly sealing the shower unit, Darin used tape and glue, which quickly peeled away and left areas exposed to water damage. Within just a few weeks, the shower wall unit itself began cracking because it had not been installed correctly. He also cut holes directly into the bathtub in order to force-fit the wall inserts, permanently damaging the tub in the process. There were also serious safety issues. The sliding glass shower doors were not secured properly and looked like they could fall and shatter at any moment. We had another contractor come appraise them, and he confirmed that the shower glass doors could have easily fallen and shattered. Several bath fixtures were literally glued into place instead of being installed with proper fasteners. The drywall repairs on the downstairs ceiling were also poorly done. The repairs are visible and the ceiling is bumpy. Some of the water stains were not painted over. He also over-promised his ability when it came to installing the flooring. After we bought everything, he told us he couldn't actually do it himself, so he needed to hire a team to help him. Then suddenly he said the team stopped responding to him, so we were left trying to figure it out ourselves and ended up calling another flooring company. That company came out and told us there were two separate problems: (1) we didn't have enough flooring material to cover the whole room, and (2) Darin had also told us to buy the wrong materials and left out important pieces needed for installation. They couldn't even start the work until we bought additional materials and corrected everything. This delayed the project another several weeks. Beyond the poor craftsmanship, the professionalism was nonexistent. Darin repeatedly left piles of trash on our property throughout the project. One of the earlier piles included empty hard lemonade cans, which was concerning considering he was working inside our home. While he eventually cleaned up one pile, he never removed the final trash he left behind. We had to hire someone to haul it out. Communication and scheduling were equally unreliable. He frequently arrived late, sometimes didn't show up at all, and routinely ignored text messages and phone calls. We ultimately had to deal with the cost, stress, and frustration of correcting work that never should have been done this poorly in the first place. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere before trusting Darin with your home.

Darin arrived promptly, worked hard and efficiently, and did outstanding work. The patching is basically invisible. He also repaired a few broken switches, installed a new ceiling fan, and upgraded all our existing recessed lighting to give us a consistent look throughout the house.
