He was very sympathetic to how uncomfortable his tech made my wife feel in our own home, explained how pushy sales and dishonest tactics was not their way, and was going to have the GM refund our money. After the call, I was willing to change my tune on Ace. However, that did not last long because I haven't seen a refund and do not receive a return phone call anymore. I have left multiple messages for Jake to return my call and he has not. I purchased a air-conditioning unit from ACE home services 3 1/2 months ago. Their air conditioner unit broke down, just after 3 1/2 months. Causing water to run from my attic where the air conditioning unit is located, down to the lower level-causing ceiling damage and water damage to my attic. I called them out to fix the problem with their air conditioner unit. It took two technicians two different times to fix the problem-with their unit that they just installed 3 1/2 months ago. Both technicians tells me two different things. It took over two weeks for them to fix the problem with their unit. Then when I finally got that problem fixed. I called and asked them to fixed the ceiling, that the water damage from their air conditioner unit had caused. Also replace the plywood that was water damaged caused by their faulty unit. They told me that they were not responsible for fixing those problems. Even though their defective air conditioner unit is what caused the problems. I would not recommend anyone get a air conditioning unit from ACE home services. Get your air conditioning unit from a more trustworthy company. read more

If I could leave no stars, I would. This company has THE worst service I've ever encountered. I scheduled an a.c. service that was 1 week away. I received a text indicating the day before stating our appointment was confirmed for 1p to 5p window for arrival. The day of, no call and no show. I called office at 450p to find out what was happening, to which I was told, sorry we will need reschedule for another day we had an influx of service calls today. They did not call me to advise, I had to call them. I tried to speak with a manager and none were available. I asked for a call back but the young lady was persistent in trying to "cancel" my appointment or reschedule. I took time off work to be available during this window and could not get a common courtesy call to say, sorry we cannot make it. Spoke to quality control manager John the next morning and he rescheduled our appointment for a Saturday and ensured we would be the 1st call of the day but to call if I don't see anyone by 9am. Low and behold, not a call and no one showed up. I called and was told the SAME story. So I stated John ensured we would be first call, to which the dispatch manager attempted to guilt trip me as to why my service was less important than the calls they had that day. Long story short, we STILL have not received the service we scheduled and I've taken 2 days out of my busy schedule to WAIT for this company. Do not waste your time. Find another company that honors ALL customer needs, not just the jobs that are REAL money makers. read more

I would NOT recommend this company to anyone, and here's why. I got a call from my fiancé about our A/C that went out, so I call Cool Ace/Ace Air expecting great service as previous customers swayed me to believe. I first called to schedule an appointment around 4:15 PM and was told that I would be contacted within 30-45 minutes. I get home around 5:45 PM and still no call, so I call them back to see if they were still coming to help us out, as I do know that these things do take time and they are working with other customers. So the agent I spoke with tells me the tech is finishing up another customer and will be calling me soon and this was around 5:50-6PM. So I wait another hour and a half, and decide to give them a call to see what was going on as it is now getting dark. So now it's 7:30 PM and I am a little upset but I didn't let it show, I call back and I'm sure they all know me from the previous calls, speak with the supervisor who apologizes and gives me "HIS WORD" that the technician will be at my home at 9:00 PM to take care of the A/C. To sum it all up, it's now 10:10 PM and we are still without A/C. And what makes this so bad is there was no phone call to let us know they weren't coming. UNETHICAL SERVICE MAN WITH HARD SALES TECHNIQUES I called in a service request from Ace Air on August 7 and received Sky as a serviceman. He was there to inspect and service our A/C Unit which was not working. In less than five minutes, Sky had diagnosed - by look alone - that our A/C Unit and Compressor needed to be replaced immediately . He attempted to use "scare tactics" about the inferior and outdated (six years old) unit we had and the discomfort we would experience and how we were jeopardizing our other A/C Unit and Compressor. He would use phrases such as "as your friend, I would advise you to..." He immediately went to his truck to get a large binder that had A/C Units and Compressors in them and was showing all these different items on different pages with different prices. He was obviously attempting to inundate me with so much information in an attempt to confuse. Then he started with his "funny" math. Here's the book price he would say but then proceed to offer a 7% discount off his commission (because he was my friend) and then other discounts, including reduction of the state tax (which is ILLEGAL). I asked Sky if he would mind getting on the phone with someone (an expert in tisi field) and it was beyond obvious that Sky was being caught in lies and his scare tactics weren't working. After he got off the phone, Sky insulted who he was speaking to and got mad at me for not buying one of his units right away. As a result, I had two other servicemen come out, who diagnosed the entire system - neither of whom said the compressor or A/C Unit needed to be replaced. They tested the system and repaired it and as a result, I didn't have to spend $5,000-$9,000 on a new system that Sky said was needed immediately. **PLEASE DO NOT use this company. If you are a single mom or a person who does not have much knowledge mechanically, this will company will attempt to scare and manipulate you into buying very expensive and unneeded equipment!** read more

The company's rep. called me for a free inspection of my air conditioning/heating units installed over a year ago. The service person, Jeremy T., was very reliable and helpful. He checked my units and gave me advice on keeping the rooms cooler. He even helped me to install a missing vanity lightbulb while on his ladder checking the air vents. Super job! read more

I just purchased a home in September 2012 an older 1953 home and it did not have any insulation update and it needed the air ducts cleaned as well, I heard about ace and decided to call them out for a free estimate on insulation, I was very pleased with the price and the next day they came out and completed the job for my insulation, I noticed a big Improvement as summer hit with my electric bills, also the the duct cleaning done they sanitized and scrubbed all the vents inside with a rotater brush and the house air quality is 100 % better to breath. They also have financing if needed. Which I took advantage of because getting into a home breaks you and I really needed help. Thank you Ace. I had ACE come out for an inspection/review of my plumbing, i.e. checking for leaks, assessing water pressure, checking for proper installation of the water heater and making recommendations for improvements. The technician, Jeff, did a very thorough job and was very professional. While he did find some minor issues, there was no hard sell for me to have them do the repair "while I'm here" or even an effort to urge me to do the repairs as soon as possible. I truly appreciated the fact that it truly was an inspection and not a ploy to "get a foot in my door". I have used them in the past for A/C repairs for many years and have always been highly satisfied with them. I would definitely recommend them. read more

Ace Home Services bought my contract from a previous really bad company called 24/7 AC Services, I was thrilled that 24/7 no longer had their company! I purchased a brand new AC unit in 2014, my electric bill skyrocketed the months following, after much delay and hassle they replaced the new unit with a different one, this newer unit has given me problems every summer since it's install, so needless to say I was over-the-top happy to hear they no longer were in business! ACE Home Services first came out December 2016 and checked my AC AND my water pressure and ph in my water, two of which I could care less about, you are here to check my AC! Everything checked out fine, yesterday 8/15/2017 my AC unit failed to cool my house ACE came out and after me being told they would waive the diag fee, tried to tell me after thousands of dollars they would be able to fix my AC in a few days. AND I WOULD BE CHARGED THE DIAG FEE! Long story short, today 8/16/17 I had a different, legitimate company come out and fixed my AC for $190 and I am now sitting in my cool home. To boot, none of the crazy long drawn out expensive parts that ACE claimed were the issue, weren't! I found out that ACE Home Services have been buying up small companies and doing the same poor, money sucking practices that the first horrible company was doing to me and countless others! Like other reviewers, if I could give NO starts I would. BUYERS BEWARE! This is the worst company I've ever done business with in the last 50+ years. I purchased a maintenance agreement with Ace Air in 2011. Since that time they have done the yearly maintenance checks, always indicating that I needed some costly repairs. Luckily I haven't fallen prey to their lies and deceit, their dishonest business tactics. Their most recent maintenance of my air conditioner and their recommended action, however, is the straw that broke the camel's back which is why I'm warning others to BEWARE of this company. On 10-18-16 one of their technicians (Sky) came to do the yearly maintenance. (Take note of the name Sky as it will come up later in this review.) Sky went up on the roof and did his thing, then came into my house with a video on his phone showing (supposedly) my air conditioner and how corroded it was. He went on to say they did a leak test and the coils of my air conditioner were leaking, coils that by the way are no longer manufactured, of course. Then he went into "let's make a deal" mode and wanted to sell me a brand new air conditioner to the tune of $7,186.81. Having dealt with this dishonest company already, I said I'd think about it and then immediately contacted another air conditioner company that I've come to trust. (just wish I'd known about them prior to signing the warranty agreement with Ace back in 2011) The other company came and checked out my AC, took pictures, did a leak test and found that my AC is NOT LEAKING at all. In addition, the picture this company took doesn't look anything like what the Ace video looked like. I'm sure that the video Ace showed me of the badly corroded unit wasn't even my AC at all !! More dishonest business tactics. Just out of curiosity I checked Better Business Bureau (BBB) website and Yelp. I see that Sandy H. from Tempe, AZ has had almost the same exact experience with Ace as I've had - only difference is that Sandy purchased a new AC from them and I didn't. In Sandy's 2015-16 complaint she documented technician Sky's business tactics and was told by Ace management that he was "a problem employee and he is no longer with the company". Well, that is very interesting since Sky was just at my house on 10-18-16 and is still using the same "let's make a deal" high pressure, dishonest business tactics. I paid for a maintenance plan so had my checkup this week. Skylar told me my 8 year old system (trane) was leaking feon and in order to find the leak it would cost me $800+ to put some dye into the system then come back a week later to determine where the leak is. I told him the warranty was still valid and he told me the labor cost would be so high that I might as well replace the whole unit. He suspected there was a crack in the coil. I asked what the coil looked like and he said was there was no corrosion. He said I needed at least 3 pounds of freon. I got the report on the checkup via email and it stated my coils were dirty. So why weren't they cleaned under my plan??? Skylar told me it would cost me another $300+ to fill up the freon. I get some feon free under the maintainence plan, so why didn't he fill what I had coming? Also the report stated there was compressor issues, which was never discussed with me, because again I have valid warranty for the compressor and other functional parts. Is this company just out for money??? Why not research the customers warranty and go from there. I informed Skylar I didn't want to pay all this money so he left. I plan on getting a second option, hopefully from a company out to work for the customer. Beware. Do not buy any maintenance plan from this company. EVER read more

Our tenant called late on a Friday to say the a/c wasn't working. I knew the system was running on bandaids as we've had a service contract with ACE for awhile and they have serviced it several times in the past. I called Friday night and was given an appointment between 9 and 1 the next day. As it got close to 1, and no call, I finally called ACE and was informed the person had scheduled the appointment for the next Wednesday! This rep put me on the schedule for 1-5 that day and said I would be the second appointment. I called several times during the appointment window and kept being told I was next on Daniel L. list. We almost always seem to have issues with scheduling with ACE. Once they do show up, the technicians have always been professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Daniel finally called and showed up around 5 and I had to be somewhere so we did everything over the phone. He explained the issue, sent me pictures and was in constant contact by phone. The tenant was there the whole time. We ended up needing a new system, which I knew in the back of my mind was inevitable. Daniel worked with his supervisor to get us a decent deal on a Carrier system. He tried to get the install set up for Sunday but no crews were available and it was set up for first thing Monday morning. Joshua H. was there early Monday morning taking out the old system while his colleague, Tim C. was picking up the new system. Both of these guys were professional, friendly and knowledgeable. They worked efficiently and had the new system up and running by mid-morning. Tim even rerouted some copper pipe that would have been somewhat in the way of the filter door. They explained everything well and cleaned up the area afterwards. I was very impressed by Josh and Tim and would highly recommend them. Guy way overcharged for a simple drain clog clear, then tried to scam me (as that's the only way to describe it) out of $225 to spend 5 minutes changing out a $15 capacitor he literally already had out of the unit. I think the basic approach is they try to sell you on a "check up", then when the guy gets there he tries to figure out how much he can fleece you for. Don't trust these guys... read more

The absolute worst. Bought a brand new A/C unit from them in 2012 and started pumping money into it 3 years later. Should not have to do that with a 3 year old unit. They don't even want to know you if you do not pay a ridiculous amount of money for their good-for-nothing maintenance agreement. I was contacted by ACE for a tuneup, but we scheduled an inspection for a new gas pack. The Tech called to confirm and he told me that he wold give me the best price when he got here. The Tech came over , looked at the unit, than asked if he could see my quotes from the other companies, that why he was here to give me a quote,..very unprofessional I said no...than it was a dead issue, he did not want to provide me a quote as to what he was originally scheduled to do. I called the office, they listened to what I said and hopefully they correct this. But don't show other companies quotes, get one first from the company....than you can show if you need to. I called today about my a/c house was at 88 degrees we spent 9000 dollars on a new unit last year. I spoke with two of there customer service people both let me know they would have someone out this afternoon tech showed up at 530 pm. Checked the unit came in from outside and told my wife and myself I have good and bad news he said the motor has gone out but I don't have one until tomorrow. My wife and myself were extremely unhappy with this and asked what he could do he said nothing. The service tech wrote up what we needed in the meantime my wife was expressing to him how unhappy she was he gave my wife the copy of the invoice and told us that he would get the part in the morning. After leaving my wife looked closer at the invoice he made two comments one said my wife was rude and that I was uncomfortable. I will never use this company again. read more

I just want to say how pleased and greatful I am to ACE Home Services. As you know my a/c went out last Thursday night & I chose to get a new one since my old one was 22 years old. Thankfully ACE was able to install 1st thing on Saturday morning. Their customer service & staff was amazing!!! It was nice when I got a text message confirming my appt. & then I rcv'd another from my technician introducing himself to me & letting me know where he was. He even sent me a link to show me where he was & how long it would take him to get to my home. I thought it was a neat feature that you could track him. Once Tim and Josh arrived they were extremely friendly and professional. Tim has 19 years of experience & was able to install my air handler in probably one of the most tightest spots he's ever worked in. They installed my unit in 4.5 hours even though it would take longer. I appreciated their thoroughness & they cleaned up as if they have never been there. My air is back up & running and I couldn't be more pleased with the results of my new unit. My unit is much more efficient and I'm hoping now my summer bills won't be super crazy. I will say through out the morning, Ace Home services checked up on me just to see how things were coming along. Ace Air Conditioning. Ace left me with no heat during the winter months, I had to heat with wood. Now in the depth of dangerous summer heat I'm struggling to get the repairs done to my cooler. I have been off work to be available for technician to come out, came yesterday after failing to come Sunday (in spite of advertising that they come on weekends), now they're waiting for a Carrier technician to be able to resolve my heat problem. I am 65 and not doing well in this extreme heat, and I was told they had tried to call me twice, but no call from them shows up on my cell phone call log. I'm not happy, and I'm very hot. by the way, my dog has a rating of more than 1 star. If I die in this heat, the rating drops to -10. read more

I scheduled an appointment for a Tune up on my A/C. The girl on the phone was super sweet,polite and informative. She explained in detail what came with the tune up. When the technician came out he was awesome, he even put booties on while walking through the house. The appointment took about 45mins to an hour which was great because I had a few errands to run before the day was out. The technician (JOHN) explained what he was doing as he was doing it and even offered to give me pointers to keep my system running perfectly. 2.5 years ago a tech came out to look at my 2 year old Trane unit. They replaced the motor and sold me on a Preventive Maintenance program so they come out once per year to check the unit & do a tune up until 2015. 5/14/11 they came out because the unit stopped working. The tech said the motor was toast & fan blades damaged. He said (not knowing that their company had just been out months before) that whoever worked on the unit last was responsible for what happened because they moved the wires for the motor over so that the fan blades were hitting them. This caused serious damage & burn to the fan blades & it's what caused the motor to go out. The last person to touch that unit was the tech from Ace Air that came out to do the preventative maintenance a few months ago! Then they try charging me $968 for the new motor & fan blades. 1st of all my motor was under warranty since they just replaced it 2.5 years ago & 2nd of all they're telling me that their tech that came out a few months ago is the reason anything happened to the unit. It took an hour & a half of the tech going back & forth with the office just to try & resolve it. They tried to ignore everything that my Preventive Maintenance contract promises (lifetime warranty on parts replaced, 20% off of new parts, & labor rates) which is what took so long. I ended up paying an agreed price for fan blades & labor. When they called to schedule the time to replace the fan blades we discussed what the tech said. After calling the tech they came back & told me they would not charge me for the fan blades (which I had already paid for on 5/14). After never receiving a credit I called & they told me that they didn't owe me a credit because the invoice showed that I only paid for labor. So basically after talking to me & hearing that I didn't have a receipt they changed the invoice to show the same total but for only labor (at $98/hour more than my contract price). After about 3 weeks of going back and forth now, nothing is resolved. I have never dealt with such a unethical and shady company. I have a copy of a maintenance program that I purchased, yet they don't want to honor anything it says in it. I would BEWARE of doing business with Ace Air. Every minute of my interaction of them over the last months has been horrible. It's one lie after another with them. This should have been a simple thing & 2 months later I'm out $239. At this point I could care less about the money, people just need to know that they don't honor the contracts they sell to people. Less than 1 star. I bought a unit from this shady company in 2010 and stuck through the bullshit because of an extended warranty that basically covered very little. After many years of problems I had the same issue as another reviewer who wrote that their drip pan-leaked (into my master bedroom closet and ruined the carpet). I'm still under a 10 year warranty and their maintenance program and have still spent a ton of money. Big costs for coolant flush, etc. (not covered under the warranty). I finally had enough when the scheduler tried to sell me a "new unit" over the phone when I called for a service call and then the technician who came out did too. It's and 81/2 year old unit. He told me the compressor was going bad...blah blah blah. But that they would cut me a deal for $6000-$7000.00 for a new unit because of the maintenance package. I finally had enough and called the #1 contractor for AC in Scottsdale and he said the unit is fine. He explained that the unit has a stages, etc. I found out that ACE in known for paying their techs through commission so they all have huge incentive to up sell on everything. All the AC companies at the home show frowned when I asked them about ACE. They all said that they were one of the most fraudulent. read more

Awful!!! I was contacted by this company to get my a/c unit tune up. The first day they were supposed to come to my house, they gave me a window of 12-3pm, at 2:45 they called saying they had to reschedule due to staff sicknesses. We rescheduled for the following Saturday between 10-1. This time I did not even get a call saying that they were not going to show up. I called them at 1pm to see where they were. They then told me that they were over booked for my area and wouldn't be coming and would have to reschedule- I said forget it and I'd find a more reliable company. The dispatcher called me back at 3:30 saying they were so sorry and if I'd still like, they'd come out immediately to my house- I said ok- my mistake. It took the guy another two hours to get to my house. When the guy got to my house, he came right in like it was his place with all of his equipment. At that point was so frustrated and annoyed that he thought he could just walk right into my place I told him to leave and no rescheduling was necessary and I found a more reliable and friendly company. I just wanted a tune up & my unit is old but it's still truckin. The guy comes back says their is nothing he can do my unit is old and he she said this and that was wrong with it and quoted me outrageous prices for all of it. Also said it wouldn't last through the summer. We'll surprise surprise it didn't, I have low income and I'm taking care of my disabled mom right now so I don't have much and a new unit is out of the question, I had to go to habitat for humanity for help. The said someone ( who ever saw the unit last, which was ace by the way) bent the line where the freon went thru & said no way the unit did it on its own & they checked the breaker and my freaking breaker for the AC is damaged. The only person that could of done that was ace because before ace was habitat the year before. So I wouldn't trust them with ur business at all. And I will be giving them a call Monday to discuss a refund. read more

Unfortunately she does not know about Yelp and did not ask me before calling them. I called them to find out what else they did to warrant that excessive charge and I got the classic run-around! A nice lady from ACE home service repair contacted me to tell us that the last company that serviced our A/C unit was purchased by ACE. She said I could get the same offer I had been given from the previous company. 19 dollars and some change to service my 2 A/C units. I said sure lets do it. So I scheduled an appointment for the next day and I ended up having to alter some plans I had, to make sure I could be there to meet the technician. I get a call 1 hour before he was suppose to show up and they said my scheduled technician was on an install and they wanted to push me back to later in the day. They also offered to come another day. Keep in mind I scheduled the appointment less that 24 hours before the guy was suppose to be there. How did he get sent out to do an install if he was scheduled to service my A/C unit just a few hours prior? It's because he was going make them more money to do an install vs doing a check up on my system. I told the lady who called to not even bother showing up if you can't be on time. I will never do business with them unfortunately because they treated me wrong right out of the gate and after reading the other reviews I'm glad I'm not having them over my house. read more

This company called me and talked me in to having them come service my 2 air conditioning units for a "super duper" low price, including a little bit of freon to be added to both of the units. I agreed even though the previous service they provided for me was sub-par. Well, the appointment was scheduled for today and the appointment time came and went. I waited and waited long after the scheduled time and finally called them. The girl that answered the phone told me that they have had too many phone calls today, so they are servicing the customers that call in today rather than servicing the customers that have appointments. She had the nerve to tell me that I needed to re-schedule. So, it apparently NEVER crossed their professional-minds, that possibly they should call me, at any given time to let me know that they were not going to commit to their previously scheduled appointment they had arranged with me. CLEARLY they are too busy for THIS customer. There are plenty of ACTUAL professional companies that appreciate their customers. I'll call one of them. Please remove me from your call list. I don't want to EVER do business with your company again. Thank you for wasting my time on this Saturday. I should have took the time to read their reviews prior to committing.. read more
