I had a great experience with ACE, considering the circumstances. My AC went out late on Sunday night, and after calling a few different companies, I couldn't find anyone who was available. I called ACE, and Stuart was at my house within 25 minutes. Stuart took the time to explain everything to me and made sure I thoroughly understood my options. He was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and kind. Unfortunately, my entire unit needed to be replaced, but Stuart was able to schedule the installation for the very next day. On Monday, Nate was at my house first thing in the morning. He was also very professional and took the time to explain what to expect throughout the process. He kept me informed and communicated with me the entire time. I was back in my house with working AC by early afternoon. What was a pretty costly and unfortunate experience was made much better by having the privilege of working with guys like Stuart and Nate. Their professionalism, kindness, and communication made a stressful situation much easier. I contacted this company about a month ago to help my clients, who are new homeowners, with electrical repairs. The technician was friendly, but communication after that has been terrible. The permit process has dragged on, and every time I call for an update, no one seems to know what's going on. I've also asked the office to contact my clients directly, but no one has followed up. Made an appointment for 04/13/26 and was given a window of 2-5. 5pm came and went... no one showed up. Called them and was told they were tied up with other repairs and I'd have to re-schedule. They also tried to sell me their $18.99 per month plan despite having just no-showed an appointment. I took the next available appointment of 04/17/26. Left work early again to make the window we had agreed to. 5pm and again, no technician. I called the customer service line, and was again told I'd need to re-schedule, now for 04/18/26. I trusted Ace to install an ac unit on my house 9 years ago. Every year since I have had to put 500 to 1000 in repairs. This year as usual my ac stopped working called Ace to come out, tech came out informed me my unit had frozen over and they would be back to check on it. There may be more than one with a similar name but ACE Heating, Cooling & Plumbing LLC is a company that you want to avoid. I thought with a contract they might repair items. Instead, all they do is come out and suggest many thousands of dollars in repairs. They just want to give you a long list of things that need fixing. The last straw was when they told me my water pressure was 20 PSI over the limit and needed to be repaired when it was in fact on the high side but still OK. And the repairs that I did agree to were necessary at the time (no AC) and in my opinion outrageously high. read more

I called Ace Cooling to repair a simple kitchen GFCI outlet that had stopped working. Instead of sending someone who seemed focused on fixing the problem, I felt like they sent a salesperson looking for a big-ticket sale. The technician, Miguel, showed up without what appeared to be basic equipment. He didn't even have a flashlight and asked me to hold a flashlight while he inspected my electrical panel. After a very limited inspection, he told me I needed a brand-new electrical breaker panel and quoted me approximately $5,500. Thankfully, I didn't approve the work. The very next day, I hired another licensed electrician for a second opinion. He quickly identified the real problem--a defective kitchen GFCI outlet. He replaced it for $180, and everything has worked perfectly ever since. In my opinion, this was an attempt to sell me thousands of dollars of unnecessary work. Had I trusted their recommendation, I would have spent over $5,000 for no reason. Homeowners work hard for their money and deserve honest, competent service--not fear-based upselling. I strongly recommend getting a second opinion before approving any expensive electrical work recommended by this company. My experience left me feeling completely misled, and I will never use or recommend Ace Cooling again. read more

Over the last 3 years I've spent $30,000 purchasing all my AC units from ACE. Less than three years and one of the units isn't working. A tech comes out promptly and when I ask for an itemized quote he said they can't provide that. Then when I get the quote, I ask to speak with someone who can answer my questions about pricing. Three different times in three different phone calls I'm assured that a manager will call me and has yet to do so. Then I'm told the manager is out of office. It's July in AZ so not having a working AC unit is a bit of an emergency. And before I spend yet another several thousand dollars to fix a 3 year old AC unit, I'd just like to speak with someone who can answer my questions about the pricing. They did not return any of my 5 phone calls regarding a reimbursement for services not rendered. This company charge me $6250 for a water softener I was told was essential to the health of our family, we are new to Arizona from California. The tech who came spent half his time working on my water heater as well which I assumed was part of the process of installation. There was no mention of any issues with my water heater. Days later we noticed our water heater was leaking and had flooded. The spout appears to be missing. I called the company back out to figure out the issue. I was then told the spout needed "replacing", however the spout appears to be missing. Then ai was told the whole thing needed replacing . I was then quote $300 for thr spout and $2500 for a new water heater. Upon the tech leaving what was a slow leak was suddenly a fast one. I will be cancelling membership with this company Going forward. We have Ace Home services and we called in today at 8:40 or so this morning and they have not come out. My house is at 90° and they said that we had to have one single technician come out even though they promised us initially it would be at 1:30. It is now at 7:36. No one has showed up and all they have done is Give us a line of baloney. I would not recommend this company to anybody ever again. I needed a power pole replaced. They wanted $5,000.00 down which I provided. Several months later, they came and put a pole in my yard in a position way far away from where it needed to be. They put an unapproved power supply box on the pole and did not mount it properly. So I canceled the job and they agreed to a $2,500.00 refund but they wanted me to sign a confidentiality paperwork so that I could not let people know how bad they are. They have collected my monthly maintenance fees and then provided no services that were to my understanding under this "contract". I cannot reach a live person. Absolutely chaotic experience from start to finish. I called Ace Plumbing Heating and Cooling for help with an AC repair and got nothing but incompetence and disorganization in return. First, they sent a tech who misdiagnosed the issue and quoted me for the wrong refrigerant (a basic mistake for anyone in this field). It was clear the technician put in minimal effort and had little understanding of the actual problem. Then they promised to return later that afternoon to fix the issue, knowing I had family in the home and needed this resolved ASAP. Not only did they fail to show up, but they pushed the appointment to the next day without notifying me until after the missed window. To make matters worse, they sent a sales tech to provide a replacement quote "just in case." He spent less than five minutes at the house, then vanished without a word. I walked outside to find him and he was just... gone. Every time I called, no one could find me in their system. I was bounced from rep to rep like no one had a clue what was going on. They know nothing about customer service. My system was cycling on and off and my Nest thermostat wasn't working properly. Their technician came out on a Thursday evening went up on my roof checked the unit with his fancy wires. He then proceeded to tell me that I needed a new capacitor and I had a Freon leak (he didn't check for a leak). He quoted me some $4000 to replace capacitor, find and fix leak, add freon and a new thermostat. I chose to do the capacitor and a non-programmable thermostat for $500. He told me to call my warranty company and see if they could fix the leak. I did, that cost me $75 and was told there was no leak. So I contacted ACE to see if they would reimburse me the $75 since there was no leak. Andrew manager said he would reimburse me the $75 if I had them come back to fix the "leak" and add freon by putting it towards the bill. Why would I do that if there was in fact a leak, when I could've had my warranty company do it for $75? They sent me a quote for them to install a smoke detector for a little over $200. NO I didn't get a senior discount either. They are not BBB accredited nor A+ rating as they claim. Great PR. read more

So October of 2025 I needed a water Heater, I opted for a Tankless water heater. This company has no business doing Tankless water heater installs . They don't know what they're doing or they like to cut corners. I would say probably both. They were late for the appointment , The unit was installed incorrectly, the plumbing was crooked. I had to call them out several times to see why my system was not working as it should. Hot water was taking up to 5 min come out of the Faust in my upper bathrooms. The system was supposed to handle 2 showers and more but wasn't. After having them come out several times, on one occasion they came out to redo the condensation drain and recirculating pumps. 2 weeks later the lines from the recirculating pumps started leaking. They sent someone out to check the leak, they retightened the line but did not fix the damage to the ceiling. Still not feeling comfortable they had installed my unit correctly I hired another company to come inspect there work. Found out my Tankless water heater was not vent properly. Had to call Ace again to have them vent the system properly. They were supposed to send someone out to fix the damage to my ceiling from the leak..... still waiting. Furious and Disappointed - 5 Service Calls Since April for Two $45K AC Units! We had two brand-new AC units installed by ACE in April -- a $45,000 investment that has been nothing short of a nightmare. Since day one, we've had to call five times for problems that never seem to get resolved. Every visit ends with the same line: "This won't happen again." Well, it has -- over and over again. At some point, you'd think ACE would realize this isn't normal. Instead of sending techs for another quick patch job, someone from management should have stepped in long ago to actually fix the root problem. When a customer spends this kind of money, they deserve more than empty promises and repeated breakdowns. We're completely fed up. ACE needs to take accountability, send management to personally inspect, and replace these defective units. Enough apologies -- we want action. I find it interesting that in all I shared - the only response was to criticize something I was doing. I work from home sometimes and am in school and I made that very clear. I have had other companies here over the years to check or clean my AC and not once did I experience such rude, unprofessional service. This response tells me why. Not, "I'm so sorry for your experience" or "We care and will address this." Just - "you should not schedule at this time." This was a horrible experience from start to finish. Even the office staff was rude. The noise the tech made was FAR BEYOND a normal amount of noise and certainly not necessary just to give me a quote. He wasn't even supposed to be doing anything up there. I have already shared this experience and will continue to do so. Companies just don't care anymore. Greed has taken over and there is no customer care at all. This is the perfect example. This is also a perfect example of unprofessionalism and a lack of competency. read more
