Our kitchen sink was clogged, called Paul for a quote and he made it here in less than half an hour same day. He gave an estimate after assessing the problem and got to work. He cleared the pipes, but we discovered that the pipes under the sink were leaking water, so he changed out the whole thing in under half an hour. All my bathrooms and toilets were clogged on Saturday morning, called several plumbers and they all quoted me near $500 to be onsite. Found Ace Plumbing and spoke to Paul on Sunday morning, he offered to drop by the same day and quoted us only $200 to clear our main sewer line. He came as promised and after inspecting the problem, said he needed to bring an extra crew to do the work so he said he'll return the next day. Together with his crew, they got our sewage line unclogged on Monday. Since he had to drop by my house for 2 days and probably spent over 1+ hour of his time figuring and fixing the problem, I thought he would charge me more but when I asked him "how much do I owe you?", he simply said $200. Last week we had what we thought was a leak in our washing machine. It turned out to be a stopped up drainpipe. As I mentioned in our previous review, we called Ace Plumbing to help us out. Paul Han came out the evening we called him and cleared the drainpipe and no more water on the kitchen floor. After Paul left we found that the shower drain was also stopped up. I immediately call Paul. He came out the very next day at 9:00 am, cleared the drain and checked that the washing machine drain was not affected. I believe we were charged a very reasonable rate, but it was Paul's timely response to our needs that was most important to us. Thank you Paul. Called them around late 6pm and told them the issue with our toilet and tub being clogged. Told us they would come in 40 minutes. He was very professional and was able to unclogged the main sewer line. Called other two plumbers and told us that they weren't able to come today and would come late tomorrow evening. Overall, very satisfied with the services and that they cared to come even after hours. I'm reviewing primarily for the cost of service, which I think is way overpriced. His mannerism, service overall was good and professional. He was also prompt. I called him in since I had sink water draining back into my dishwasher, thus creating a floor leak. At first upon arrival- he eyeballed the situation and said, "oh you have to call the appliance company." Since the leak is coming from the dishwasher. I said, yes that's separate issue, but what I called you in for is the fact that slow draining water from sink and perhaps an improper hose placement has caused this--so he looked and voila, "ohhhh!!!! Yeah well look at that..the hose indeed and sink needs to be snaked." Why do some service contractors do this? They run their poor diagnosis just by looking, I get you have experience and feel confident but just do the proper assessment first before taking a pose and telling the customer what they need to, then eating it. Anyway for 10-15 min work--it cost $130 for snaking the drain and elevating a hose on he bottom using a power tool secure it. read more

I've never written a review before this. I had a mainline clog on Friday evening. I called Ace, and he said he could be over in two hours. He gave a rough estimate for the job, which was incredibly fair. He was able to make it in 45 minutes. He snaked the drain from three separate locations, and got the water moving again. He then asked to follow up the next day. On Saturday he returned and snaked the drain one more time. In addition he adjusted the plumbing under the kitchen sink. I am not a active yelper, but I felt the need to share my experience with Paul from Ace Plumbing. I will be as detailed as possible so you can be the judge of his professionalism and quality of work. I have never met him in person, but only through phone conversations. I would say the 1 star would be for showing up fairly on time for the 2 times he was scheduled. I called Paul for tenant of mine. There was a leak coming out of the kitchen faucet handle and under the sink. I scheduled him to go see what the problem was. I also chatted with him saying I was annoyed since this was a new development and the faucet was only 2 years old. Told him I was going to bring this up to the builder but since it takes time to schedule a builder rep to come out, I needed to get this looked at first since the leak was ongoing. I was never there to see what kind of work he actually did. Once he was there, he called me and said that the leak was from the handle causing it to leak through the body of the faucet leading to under the sink. He told me the cartridge in the handle was bad and the whole faucet needed to be changed as he was unable to get the part. He said he would turn off the water first and I should bring up with builder if they could replace it. Billed me $65 which I thought was fair. After meeting with builder and was told it was past warranty already, they directed me to where to get the part to replace. I called Paul and he said he could repair it if I had the parts.He did tell me that replacing the part may not guarantee it would stop the leak. I was assuming he meant it could be leaking elsewhere. I decided to get the part and take the risk hoping that would solve the problem. I scheduled him out to replace the part. After installing the new part, the leak became worse from the handle. Again, I was not there to see the work done, but my wife was there and described to me on the phone what was happening. Now he blamed it on the new part being defective. So he put back the old part and said he tightened it more and guess what. The leak stopped. This time the bill was $120, but seems like all it took was tightening the original cartridge in the handle. This is where his professionalism and attitude comes to play. I asked him if he could give me a better deal and his response was if you don't like my prices Ill need to go find somebody else. I said I am going to pay him but was little unhappy with the service and if he cared to listen. He said he doesn't need to hear why as he rendered his services. I told him this problem could have been fixed the first time and all he said was I wanted the builder to replace it. Obviously if it just required a tightening of cartridge, he could of fixed it since I already need to pay him for coming out. I told him I was going to bring it up to the builder because he said the cartridge was bad and recommended the whole faucet to be replaced. But at the end, it just required tightening of the part which could have been done the first time. He decided he didn't to hear from me anymore and ended the call. I just take it as a lesson learned, but this is definitely one I will never use again or refer. read more
