    It's cheap up front, but YOU WILL PAY. I have rented from many different companies with no problems. But every single person in line had an issue. The guy ( LAZIZJON) said that I was required to have their insurance ($479 in addition to the $300 rental fee unless I provide a full pdf copy of my full insurance coverage. I had 1 bar reception on my phone and their wifi didn't work, so after 45 minutes of trying to get it online, I called my insurance company and they were able to email it. It took me 2 hours at the car rental place. I asked to speak to a supervisor and he told me there was no way to contact a supervisor. Then later, when another lady yelled at him, he told her he would call the supervisor. So I asked "I thought you said I couldn't talk to a supervisor" and he just smirked. LAZIZJON was condicending and dismissive. This was everyone's experience (we were all frustrated and trying to support each other because it felt like a big scam). And to top it off, the bathroom toilet was overflowing. 1 guy told LAZIZJON and he sounded surprised that the bathroom was broken. Then 20 min later another lady asked him where the bathroom was. He told her and then acted as though he was surprised that it was broken when she told him. This car company will sell you on a cheap car and then REQUIRE you to buy their insurance.

    Super slow service.... Rude employees I called to tell them my trip is delayed over the phone and they didn't note it so by the time I arrived my reservation was canceled.... ( even though I prepaid for the car)....

    Horrible! We booked for $385 for a mid size suv which we upgraded $150 for a next level car, we came back as final bill for $905. They had so many hidden charges, we prepaid for the gas and they said we only prepaid for half a tank and charged us $9.99 a gallon! They are horrible business with so many hidden fees! Additional driver charge amongst many. My next step is to report them to better business bureau so someone is not a victim of their business see attached photo

    I only because you can't leave it at 0. Ace runs a soft credit check. If you are paying by credit card, why is this necessary? A name on my "check" came up that wasn't mine or anyone I know. They wanted me to show them proof of my credit score through my banking app. Nuts. I went to Hertz. Drove off with a car in five minutes.

    DO NOT RENT FROM HERE…read more The app allowed me to pick my specific vehicle, however when I arrived they tried to give me something else. I pointed this out to them and they tried to make an excuse about it, making me feel weird & small in the process, but they ended up giving me the car I picked. It was after 11pm. They handed me the keys and my receipt. There was no walk around the vehicle. The parking lot is dimly lit. I looked at the car which appeared fine and I drove off. When I returned the car the agent pointed out a scratch. I explained that must've already been there. I drove upstate for the weekend, I was not around any people. I was isolated in a country house. She asked if I took pics when I got the car. I told her no. She shook her head and told me I should always take pics before leaving with the car. She told me not to worry about it and just explain that the scratch was there before if I'm contacted about it. Less than two weeks later I get a damage claim, $939.04 for that scratch. The photo of the scratch Sixt sent to me was deeper than the scratch the agent showed me. But it was my word against theirs, and I had no proof that the scratch wasn't already there. But neither did Sixt. Thankfully my AMEX car insurance coverage took care if it. The most appalling unprofessional experience. This location has got to be running an insurance claim scam, and there must be incentives to filing insurance claims. For over 25 years I've rented cars from various companies locally, nationally, and internationally, never charged a claim until Sixt JFK. I will definitely stick with Hertz, Enterprise, or Budget in the future.

Due to availability and a lack of inventory during the holidays, the vehicle size we originally reserved wasn't available, so we were forced to upgrade or downgrade. In our case, upgrading cost us an extra $10. It worked out well, and we were able to rent a slightly larger car, which was fortunately brand new. The employee who helped us was very professional, friendly, and patient, despite the late hour. We really appreciated her help after a very long international flight. Finding the Enterprise desk was fairly easy. It's right off the Federal Circle light rail track. A bit difficult to get to if you have a lot of luggage or traveling with special needs because of the light rail's large gap and snail-paced elevators. Keep in mind the roads in and out of JFK aren't always the easiest to drive on either. There's a lot of construction, and drivers tend to be more aggressive, probably due to the close proximity to NYC. Drive safely!

    I have been an EHI( Alamo and Enterprise rent a car) loyal customer for 12 years…read more This location in particular stands out with the inimitable NY work ethic and straightforward no bs accountability- 1) The vehicles here are low mileage, cleaner and well maintained vs Budget and Avis. In the winter they ensure snow and ice removing devices are in every car. 2) There are always choices and options to pick a vehicle in every class. 3) a) 3 years ago I was in and out of NY six times and the awesome Sush( now promoted and a Manager at a different center) was a blessing. She helped my family with amazing service, care and took ownership of a situation and fixed it pronto. Always smiling with great energy. b) Tony the Manager also was so understanding, proactive and communicative in September 2023 when I drove from Baltimore airport to NY. It was a one way rental of a BMW that almost immediately had tire and " Need Service" issues. Baltimore BMI airport did not take any responsibility for this but JFK did. c) Hats off to Frazier and Omare in May 2025 who went the extra mile for me. 4) The airport rates here vs LAX are about 20 percent cheaper. 5) The Air Train from all terminals drops off all rental customers at Federal Circle where the companies are located. Very convenient. 6) Alamo JFK has been very flexible with me over the decade plus of 77 plus rentals and let me drop off at LGA airport for no extra charge. 7) I appreciate the 0-59 minute grace if late when returning. 8) The only Company location that gives all of us a business card at the exit with an email and a phone number to contact for anything at all. I also get a text every time within two hours asking if all is good.

    First, this is not a knock on Budget as a whole. I am a Fastbreak member since I've rented from…read morethem a number of times. I even rented a car from Budget/JFK once before with no incident. I reserved an SUV months in advance during the holiday break knowing it would be difficult to rent a car during this time. As a Fastbreak member, via the app, it said specifically, that I could go to a certain section, pick a car and drive off. There was even a sign w/ my name saying my rental was ready. After walking in the freezing cold to the section, I was told I still had to go to the front desk to check in. After checking in, I was told they were still "cleaning my rental". We waited for approximately 45 minutes (this is after walking around, so approx an hour wait), we got the car. After driving off into JFK traffic, that's when we realized the smell. (For those who saw it, think of the "Smelly Car" episode of Seinfeld) The car smelled like an old stale ashtray. As the car heated up more, the stench intensified. We tried using cologne/perfume to cover the stench and checked the ashtrays. We wiped down what appeared to be ash from the console and cup holders. Not sure what they cleaned. At best it looked like they just hosed down the outside of the car and filled the tank and completely skipped the interior. And unfortunately, because of the holiday season, other Budget locations did not have extra suvs to swap out. One other thing, what's the point of providing a "local" number for a Budget location if no one picks up and it just goes to the central line, where the customer service rep can't do anything except to say "Did you try calling a location directly?"

She first assured me that you had vehicles that I could rent and then proceeded to make the transaction as smooth and helpful as possible. Understanding that your business is a service business and customer experience counts far more than anything the specific vehicle can offer, she is a shining example of someone who understands how to live the values of a brand. Henry then processed my vehicle swiftly and attentively so I was able to get on my way and meet my obligations. When I returned today Ryan checked me in and asked if there's anything you could have done better. I had the pleasure of telling him that not only did your company provide satisfactory service, I considered them going above and beyond by the manner in which the service was conducted. I made a point of writing down all theor names to single them out for praise, with particular focus on LaRae. I thought you should know.
