I didn't know how long I'd be. So I went into aces Pizza and ordered which I have done in the past week working up there.. I am working late tonight so I looked up the menu saw five tender appetizer and decided that's what I would like. I went in. I get my meal takeoff and I only have four. Iv been a lifeling resident of Jamestown.. aces pizza wasn't anything compared to the old house of pizza or as old time Townies called it Freddie's! Once he closed up shop the only place was aces.. from the beginning iv never been a fan of aces.. I think the pizza isn't made like a pizza no sauce barely any toppings etc. Plus some of the staff aren't friendly either! Depends what you get is decent but I would recommend going here when you have many more options in newport or you can go to Boston neck pizza right over the bridge in saunderstown then you keep going down near narragansett there's more places! The owner isn't very friendly either... id give it 3 stars if they were more friendly! I'm giving it 2 stars because they have cool things on the wall other than that 1 star read more

If I could give less stars I would. HORRENDOUS service. I came to this place w 2 friends and our children. We ordered 2 cheese pizzas, 1 teriyaki pizza and a salad. While waiting I asked for 4 cups of water. The girl looked at me like I had 2 heads and said "FOUR cups of water?" I replied "yes, is that a problem?" She seemed so put out by my request and finally after 10 minutes we were given water. Then 1 cheese pizza came out and 30 minutes later we still didn't have the rest of our order. I went up and politely asked for an ETA on the rest. At that time they gave me my salad without the chicken so I asked if I could have the chicken added. Long story long - we waited a total of TWO HOURS for the teriyaki pizza and the chicken that was missing from our salad. Why we didn't leave, I'll never know. We dragged our kids out for a yummy dinner and ended up running next door to the grocery store so they'd have something to eat while we waited. Then after waiting two hours the waitress gave us a cup of chicken (a little late considering our salad was now in our stomachs) and our teriyaki pizza that was undercooker. I suggested a refund considering how long we very patiently waited. We watched prb 10 people eat and leave or come in to take their pizza to go. The response was comical - "you can get refunded if you leave your pizza and leave". For a small, locally owned restaurant, you'd think they'd have some quality customer service. Having a limited amount of time, I was a little nervous, when after ordering my steak, cheese, and mushroom sandwich, they said it would be 15 minutes. That's an order that Ramon's Pizza in Pawtucket would have done within 10 minutes, with no problem. After getting my sandwich - a half an hour later, nearly making me late for my appointment, I was even more disappointed when I could not detect any cheese in the sandwich. The "large" with a Coke set me back $12.91. I'm sure there's another place you can buy pizzas and sandwiches on Jamestown Island, but if there isn't, you'd be better off driving 40 minutes to Ramon's, where an even larger sandwich with a drink will cost you under $10. read more

I've tried here a few times now.I would give it 2.5 out of 5 stars. The food is not bad but a bit on the bland side. Nothing POPS with flavor I've had so far. My last experience I called in an order.. all I got was a "Hello" on the other end. I said"ummm is this Ace's?" they said "yeah" I said "ummm can I place an order?" another "yeah". Nice business etiquette there guy. Their wings are heavily breaded drowning in Tabasco sauce. I like their pizza crust but man, they rake you over the coals on toppings. It was an additional $8 for 3 full toppings and 2 1/2 toppings( they offer even more expensive "specialty toppings for $2.50 each..like ham or extra cheese, thank god we did't choose any of those) making it a $21.00 14"pizza. Away from the crowds this little shop has that 'I'm on vacation' vibe with screen doors and a couple of cafe tables out front. The menu is pizza, calzones, sandwiches a few apps and sides. We had a cheese pizza which was OK, and tuna sub was very nice. Super busy - lots of people calling in for take out. The dining area is small, order at the counter and they bring it out. If you are in Jamestown and want pizza I recommend that you go somewhere else. The pizza is bland from the crust to the sauce to the cheese. The service is poor and considering there is no competition for them anymore since House of Pizza closed, they don't feel the need to improve. The only good thing they have going for them is the fries and even that is sub-par. I live on the island and pizza is one of my favorite foods but I won't eat here. read more

The wait was ridiculous! At least 1.5 hours for three pizza's. The service was a joke and clearly they will hire anyone. It was hot, no air-conditioning in a pizza place - seriously. Multiple mistakes witnessed as we were waiting...forgot to charge a party for their drinks and had to call them back up to pay again, to-go order came back in the door because they forgot to make part of it, someone came in to pick up their pizza and they didn't even have the order. You can't add a tip if you pay with a credit card, which in hindsight is fine because they really didn't earn one. We just moved here and have been searching for a decent pizza place. Gave this place a few chances. And just no! The food is overpriced and bland, the customer service is just as bland. I work in customer service, and when I called and told the girl I was overcharged and that the prices online were different than what i was charged, she just said "Sorry, that tends to happen... Tried this place for the first time last weekend, have to say it wasn't to bad. I ordered a chicken parm grinder, and my partner ordered the angus burger. My grinder was good, needed a little more cheese(I'm a cheese junkie lol) and the fries were awesome. My partner said his burger was really good.
