For entrees, our table ordered the fish and chips, the fig and prosciutto burger, the fish of the day, and the lobster roll (hot). We had a reservation for four people and were told by the hostess that our table was occupied by guests who had just received their entrées, so we were welcome to grab a drink at the bar while we waited. No problem...however, after waiting about 40 minutes, we checked back in only to discover the hostess had confused us with another party that happened to have the same name. She asked if our party of eight had arrived, and that's when we realized there had been a mix up. While mistakes happen, it would have been appreciated if someone had checked in with us sooner so the issue could have been resolved sooner rather than later. Once seated, the food was excellent as always. The service continued to feel a bit off tho. Our server was pleasant, but could have checked on our table more frequently. When we were ready to leave and asked for the check, it took quite a while for him to return and collect our payment. When guests ask for the check, it's usually a sign they're ready to head out, and a quicker check in would have been appreciated. By the end of the meal, we had spent over two hours at the restaurant, much of it waiting, and ended up needing to rush to our next destination. What was most disappointing was that nobody acknowledged the reservation mix up or offered any sort of apology for the inconvenience. We still enjoy JB's because of the location, views, and food are great. This visit, however, highlighted some service issues that if addressed, would make the overall experience much better.
